The moon wants to be felt/emotions must be paid attention to/intuition
developed/timing well adjusted/perception and judgement used at all times.

Mercury wants to be heard/intellect appreciated/humour understood/the speeches he makes must be inspiring/conversations started/words in arguements exchanged.

Venus longs to relate with friends/lovers/neighbours/social circles through ideals/fashion conservatism/conventional beauty.

Mars wants to energize/inspire action/set things in motion/illicit
enthuisiasm/jump in to beginnings/initiate journey.

Jupiter wants to teach/educate philosophy/life principles/impart wisdom/fuse
foreign ideas and concepts/recognize human equality through knowledge.

Saturn wants to limit/abstain from excess/contract and eliminate refuse/dictate
life responsibility/build long-term structures.

Uranus wants to excite/revolutionise people,places,events/interrupt lifes
daily habits/fast forward progress/search for better,simpler and more
original concepts to make life more thrilling.

Neptune wants to dream/sculpt and create/fantasize about the unkown and the
unfelt/believe in hidden spiritual forces/ostricize materialism and escape pain
and /or the physical body through the senses and mind.

Pluto wants to control events/be incharge and steer the boat/coerce
transformations and transitions/build empires with one head/encourage
hierchical and centralised societies and/or power structures.Eliminate
threat/opposition and competition.

Ascendant wants to package/summarize personality or person/advertise human being
to others/attract circumstances and people it assumes will help the individual.

The ones that I have studied so far are:

The Ascendant and sun in a natal chart

The sun wants to be seen and the ascendant is the package the sun comes in when
in contact with other people.When well aspected the ascendant will advertise
the suns life purpose well and bring unto the sun person people and
circumstances that will help the sun achieve the goals of its ego.

eg Aries Rising with Sagittarrius sun.Both the sun and the ascendant are
independent and prefer doing things their way.The individual will probably be
terrible working with groups of people or entering a partnership.It is allso
likely that marriage or any prospects to them will be postponed.One of the
individuals' life purposes will be to gain knowledge and be well read.Aries
rising will energize the sun to not only read and gain information through
contacts it makes but it will allso advertise the individual as an expert in
philosophy or intellectual studies.

Cancer rising with Taurus sun.Both the sun and the ascendant prefer stability
and order for peace of mind.They are both tenatious and careful so you can
expect this individual to never jump into anything without first feeling
comfortable with it first.There is an inclination to keep old relationships for
fear of starting new ones and a reluctance to leave home because the native
fears acventure and the unknown.

The ascendant and sun in a relationship:

Mphos ascendant in Sagittarrius conjuct Mandlas sun in Sagittarrius.

Mpho feels that Mandla simply "gets her" without her having
to do much and she feels confident to be herself in his
presence.Mandla intern perceives Mpho as honest and
trustworthy and looks to her for guidance as Mpho seems to be living proof of the ideal person he aspires to be.

The Sun and Mars in a natal chart:

The sun wans to be seen and mars wants to energize so both planets are spotlight
inclined.Mars provides the energy for the sun to reach its goals.
The native will have an inclination towards physical exercise or sports where
competition and rewards are prevalent.The sun is energized by mars to compete
and "be the best" so the individual will like challengs and competitive
situations.Others may perceive native as egotistical and vain. If this aspect
is dominant in the chart physical stamina is increased.The
native will not only enjoy competing but will also enjoy the applause once he
has come out victorius.

eg Sun in Leo conjuct mars in Leo. Both the sun and mars are in fire and both like to be active.The sun will be energized by mars so if the sun person is drawn to the business world,mars will provide fuel for the corporate ladder.It is unlikely that this individual will stay in the understudy seat for long as the ego is supported by mars' stamina to keep going until the top is reached.Even after this person becomes the manager they probably have set their next goal on some other bigger target and are working towards it.

The sun and mars in relationships:

eg Mphos Mars conjuct Mandlas Sun in Libra.

Mpho will encourage Mandla to fulfill his dreams and live up to his own expectations.If Mandla wants to be a writer,Mpho will keep on encouraging and goading Mandla to keep writing.She may even read his work and get personaly involved with his goal.Her function in this relationship is to provide fuel for Mandla.

The moon wants to be felt whilst Neptune wants to dream.Normaly this is quite a good mix as both planets are introverted souls and wont misunderstand each other.Both are quick to pick up hidden feelings,the unseen and both are intrigued by mystery and spiritual issues.They are both extremely intuitive,perceptive and a touch psychic and they are both inclined to go off on a tangent relative to reality.To both what is hidden is far more relevant then what is shown.In a chart the native will indeed be a hopeless romantic,they will fall inlove quickly and like the idea of love rather than living it.The native will dislike crowds and will be inclined to spend "alone time" dreaming and fantasising.If this aspect is heavy in the chart the native will have a vulnerable personality that is prone to addiction of all types sexual,drugs,alcohol etc.

Sophies moon in Taurus trine Alex' neptune in capricorn.

Sophie will instinctively be protective and defensive of Alex because he awakens her partenal instincts. Alex will introduce Sophie to spiritual ideas,concepts and religion.Alex will instinctively know what Sophie is thinking and feeling.There will be instances where Sophie will make a joke which Alex will catch onto and both will end up laughing for hours on end-much to the confusion of others who don't get the joke.Sophie will be extremely impressionable on Alex and it is usualy Sophie who reels Alex in when it appears he is escaping into the abyss of illusions.

The sun wants to be seen and venus wants to relate to other people through love,fashion and beauty.The sun is an extroverted planet while venus can at times be extroverted and at others be introverted.The sun is conscious of venus' attractiveness and/or beauty and will try to win venus over.Venus finds the sun a source of inspiration and has great admiration for its ego.
In a natal chart the native will take friendships/relationships and marriage(if other aspects are favorable towards it) very seriously.Normaly the ego is attached to venus and so when the relationship breaks up,the native tends to suffer badly because he blames himself.There is an inclination to "show off" your friend and/or spouse as the native feels very proud of them.Usually the native looks for strong durable relationships consciously/subconsciously and does his best to upkeep them should he find them.If this aspect is powerful in the chart,the divorce court is the last place that you'll find this native and if you do find them there,it is likely that that day is probably the worst of their entire lives.

eg Sun in Aquarius and venus in Aquarius.Both venus and the sun are thinkers and intellects at heart.They both like to bounce off idea in their head,appreciate alone time,love analysing people and situations and both are relatively emotionally in check.The native may not run to the nearest alter if he has this placement,however he will insist that his mate be his intellectual equal.Beauty is not necessarrily a huge criteria,although very much appreciated,rather than a forward looking,eccentric and versatile personality for his desired other half.The native is not likely to settle for less in the relationship and so should they not ever find anyone who they can settle down with,the native wont marry.The native will however always keep a candle burning for that someone whom they assume will complement them entirely throughout their life.If this aspect is heavy in a chart personal relationships,wether love or friendships, are treated with kid gloves.

Dylan will find Jonathan attractive for long-term prospects.Jonathan will be cheered up by Dylan,whom he considers a very good friend.Both will love going out and Dylan will like showing Jonathan off to his friends.Dylans taste in clothing appeals to Jonathan and it is likely that Dylan is the one who actively pursued Jonathan in the relationship.

The Sun and Saturn in the natal chart:

The sun wants to be seen and appreciated whilst Saturn wants to restrict excessive indulgements of the suns ego.This is a combination of an extroverted planet and an introverted one respectively.Both the sun and Saturn take themselves seriously,both are hard working and both are conscious of goals to be achieved.Saturn is more concerned with medical bills,electricity bills and expenses of keeping the body going whilst the sun wants to keep the vision and the end goal of the ego alive.The sun wont accomplish much if the body is dehydrated and dies due to its negligance,neither will the ego be happpy if life is reduced to just paying bills and "getting by".Depression is normaly the result of an unsatisfied ego.These two planets don't like each other but in this chart they are forced to work together.
The native is serious and disciplined.There is a humorless demeanour about their appearance and they always look a lot older than what they are.Normaly many goals are achieved and the native gains satus however he/she is rarely happy or satisfied with his achievements.There is a tendency to battle with depression,low self esteem and loneliness.If this aspect is heavy on the individual ,life is tumultuous and painfull.There is a likelihood to turn to suicide or some form of escape to the mundaneness of living.If he can make it through the rains and storm,native will grow into an excellent psychologist,father,boss and leader despite his own self-doubt.

eg Sun in Aries with Saturn in Aries.The native will never stop moving,never stop working,never stop reaching that unatainable goal.Normaly the relationship the native is in is hardly satisfying and he/she often feels his work or life purpose are intertwined.The person will win many awards,be respected in the business world but will still feel inadequate.

Sun and Saturn in relationships:

Eddies Sun in Gemini sextiles Lucys Saturn in Leo

Eddie will feel Lucy is crowding him with responsibilities that he just doesn't want to deal with(paying the bills or mowing the lawn).Eddie feels he cannot escape and please himself as Lucy is always at the back of his head reminding him of the kids that need to be fetched from day care etc.Lucy can be very passive in this relationship and expect Eddie to take care of her since he is more ambitious and/or earns more money.Eddie is competent as a mate but he may think that Lucy is overly demanding and makes things more about her needs leaving him out to fend for himself.

There are so many others I could do but I think I'll end up taking the wole forum.Tell me what you think people.

The overall "article" sounds good to me! I like the "keyphrase" approach of getting at the energy of each sign and discussing the "big picture" of the aspect combination. Steven Forrest takes a similar approach and it is VERY useful for the new astrologer.

The only suggestion I would make is about what you say about Aquarius energy. Aquarius has to do with being "friends" or with "Social Security" (see link below, Step 4 for more information), not about "thinking", which has to do with Gemini energy. So it is the social structure of the relationship that is important to Aquarius (friends) modifying Venus (relationships). The key idea, in my opinion, for this energy is close but not TOO close. This has nothing to do with the intellectual abilities of each...instead it has to do with the social barriers Aquarius energy puts around itself...this close and NO further.

You seemed to move away from intellectual capacity (Gemini) and more to talking about "friendships" energy (Aquarius) in the final part of your paragraph where you mention "...someone whom they assume will complement them..." and "...personal relationships,wether love or friendships, are treated with kid gloves". This seems to get at this idea of being "friends"...as in "that side yours and this side mine"!

The rest of it seems "spot on"!

To explain my stance on the whole Sun-venus in Aquarius I would like to say that I agree with you.

The thing is I have met 5 people with this placement that were married to very uncoventional people(one was married to a woman 20 years his senior).I guess I didn't take that very interesting point of view hhm.....food for thought.
