I am going to start the sequal to "trines in your chart" in a previous thead by starting the "oppositions in your chart thread". ok here it goes: Sun Opposition Moon 2°29 (gem-sag) Sun Opposition Neptune 7°42 (gem-cap) Moon Opposition Venus 1°48 (sag-gem) Mercury Opposition Uranus 0°02 (gem-sag my favorite) Jupiter Opposition Ascendant 0°35 (cap-can)The sun opp moon makes me VERY indecisive about almost anything and the mercury opp uranus is my smart *ss aspect, it can get me into hot water sometimes and others look at me like I have 2 heads when I say things sometimes. How do others out there deal with their oppositions? Do you find them benifitial?hindering? barely noticed? Cheers IP: Logged |

Venus Opposite Ascendant:Coincides with my Capricorn NN. I'm gifted in personal relationships, but can get into trouble if I don't stand on my own two feet. I don't think it's a bad aspect. Mars Opposite Ascendant: Makes me a bit over sensitive, which isn't cool. Attracts me to other strong personalities, and into fights with them. It's not a great aspect, but it probably serves a purpose. Neptune Opposite Ascendant: Seems to act as a warning against falling into a codependent relationship. Hasn't happened yet, so that's good, and I am leery of anyone who's too needy. The only way I see this aspect manifesting is in the realm of being attracted to very creative and sensitive people. I don't mind this propensity. Mercury Opposite Saturn: Yes, I do feel misunderstood by people, but I do tackle it in the way that is suggested, which is being very clear and precise in what I say and demanding the same from others. This totally describes me: quote:
You are rather conservative in your thinking and slow to adopt new ideas, preferring to stick with the ones that work for you. Your standards in your work are very high, so you can be a very demanding perfectionist. And you apply this to others as well as yourself. (www.astro.com)
Venus Opposite Saturn: I may feel unworthy of love and affection, and take criticism more seriously than praise. This is true, but it's also being overcome. It suggests getting to know myself well in order to appreciate myself. I've done that. I've also thought a lot about the type of people I attract, and likely will not make the mistake of getting together with people who make me feel unworthy of love. Saturn Opposite Neptune: This is kind of a wide orb aspect. It says that I should learn to trust people more. I think this aspect has gotten better with experience, and will continue to do so. ----------------------------------------- I think that's it for my oppositions. I've included somewhat wide orb ones. The tight ones are: Mercury Opposition Saturn 1°38 Venus Opposition Saturn 5°29 Mars Opposition Ascendant 5°26 Neptune Opposition Ascendant 3°10 My opinion is that they (oppositions) start out a bit difficult, but in the end the experience of learning how to cope with them actually gives you certain strengths over other people. Like Mercury Opposite Saturn creating a situation where I express myself very clearly and definitively makes me a better communicator on many levels. That's a great thing in my book. IP: Logged |

People's lives are interesting to me, I know a lot of people and see myself in them, Gemini Mercury 7th house opp Sag Mars/1st house I get drawn into heated arguments easilyNeptune in Scorpio opp Sun in Taurus I still don't know, my father is said to have an ego like a black hole? Men around me seem pretty egotistical, I am trying to get in touch my own needs first, and focus on one relationship is big. Sort of hard with the first opposition which wants lots of people versus the second. I compensate by loving a big city and being monogamous aside from that. Also have a Cancer/Cap and Pisces/Virgo polarity, so far this means lots of relationships with Capricorns, Pisces, and Virgos. Natasha IP: Logged |

I have: Venus opposition Pluto - This is happening on my NN/SN axis. There's a lot of intensity tied to my concept of love. I can't see or understand love or a relationship with no emotional intensity. It's impossible for me to even kiss someone or get close in any way unless I feel a *lot* for the person. I guess it gives my Venus a Scorpionic touch. In high school I had problem after problem, mainly with guys. They all had their Plutos opposite my Venus. It was such a - "love her more than life itself.. until she does something which makes me feel out of control.. in which case I'll hate her more than life itself the next day" - pattern.. Mars opposition Ascendant This plainly attracts a-holes in your life sometimes. People who just attack you out of the blue, due to their own insecurities. People either see you as aggressive or overly passive. This perception changes from person to person.. There were times when I was called assertive in the morning and too shy in the afternoon.. by different people. I like this placement in relationships though. My Mars is conjunct Neptune (Cap) and I put a lot into a relationship in a constructive positive sense. I also attract dreamy Piscean types. Though sometimes this ends bad, with disappointments (see Neptune at the bottom of the post lol) Saturn opposition Chiron hmm this is painful I think.. Everything with Chiron has some kind of sorrow attached. In my opinion this aspect eats away at your confidence. However, I have Jupiter T-squaring this opposition and it is dignified in Pisces on my MC.. so it's quite well placed. This definitely helps to keep me optimistic. Neptune opposition Ascendant (and Pallas) This is a double edged sword. I like the fact that I have very vivid dreams and good acting skills. I also like the fact that Neptune conjuncts Mars (on DC) which has a lot of "fairy tale" magnetism to it. But, on the other hand, I can be so easily deluded by someone I'm truly in love with.. I completely blind myself to people's faults at times, even if they're starring me in the face. IP: Logged |
