I think the "Curse of Tecumseh" is a myth. There is an astrological reason for what you ask. And this is the cycle of Jupiter and Saturn, which mundane astrologers follow to predict world events. The two planets conjunct every 20 years, and charts are drawn for this event. They are called "mutations", meaning change. For 240 years, these conjunctions occur in the same element. When the conjunction changes element, it is known as a "Greater mutation." The 20 year cycle is called "Lesser Mutation."
The Great Mutation of 1842 occured in Capricorn in the 8th house of one of the US charts. (there are several US charts) Since then, every president elected or inaugurated in the year of the Lesser mutation has died in office.
In 1980, there was an aberration in the conjunction, which occured in Air, not Earth. The election of 2000 was still within this aberration, but then it has since switched back to earth again, where it will remain until 2080, when it switches to Air.
So whether we resume this 20 year cycle, with the US presidents, I don't know.
