Hi all,

I am seeking some information as to which signs are most compatable with my partner and myself in regards to conseaving our first child. I would love to try for a child that is going to get on with both of us and have a harmonious relationship with each of us... Can you point me in the direction as to some text or perhaps help out with some knowledge?
My partner is a pisces and I am a cancer... I was thinking Scorpio... Any thoughts..?

Thanks so much

no matter what sign the child is born with the child usually has a planet or 2 in the parents sun sign(be it moon, rising, venus or whatever)...i know some people whos child sign is opposite of theirs, you cant plan these things, even if you tried, - maybe you think you are...but i believe there are stronger forces out there, anyways
pisces and cancer? taurus- scorpio come to mind...

Also, babies tend to decide when they want to be born anyway. I was supposed to be born around the 7th of February but was born the 21st of January. If I was born a few hours earlier, I would've been a Capricorn, instead of an Aquarius.

My folks are Sag and Gemini, so I think it worked out fine.

I'm ok with planning (I'm a Cap). Any water sign would be fine, and earth signs should be ok. Unfortunately earth and water signs aren't right next to each other, so you don't have the big two month windows to work with.

Do either of you have a lot of another element?

I'm all for letting nature takes its course.

Of my female friends, not one has conceived from the first attempt so in my opinion the "window" for conceiving a certain sign would be tricky to achieve. My sister-in-law was trying for nearly a year before she conceived. I managed to conceive after only 2 months. Everyone is different.

I also believe that it is the baby's soul which chooses its birth parents, its birth time and astrological chart.

Best wishes to you both at this very exciting and happy time

first you've got to decide if you want a girl or a boy.

Interesting problem. Have you ever heard the old saying "If you want to make God laugh, tell him you have a plan" or something like that. Anyway, I believe that the child picks us for his or her parent, not the other way around.

I believe, that we all are born into the family that we need to be born into, based on our Karmic background and our spiritual needs. The child will be born when and where it needs to be born to have the natal chart required during this lifecycle for the best growth opportunities. That includes having parents that will best provide for their growth opportunities.

So plan if you want, it really makes no difference in the long run, but it may make you feel more in charge.

My 2 Cents

That's a wonderful way of thinking about it but...

what about the children who die during birth or meet a violent end? Did they choose to end up like that - would anyone?

I've wondered if planning a child's conception would work.

There are other factors involved... even if a person did conceive, there's no guarantee that the child would be born at that time.

My daughter was due January 19th

That would have made her Capricorn.

She wasn't ready. I carried her until Feb. 3rd.

She went from being a Cappie sun/Gemini moon to an Aqua sun/Sag. moon.

She was induced at that time. Based on the child choosing theory... how would it work if they didn't choose, but it was chosen for them?

jkxx, even children who are born and then leave are all part of the plan. They perform that service for others that they may grow and evolve. When you consider that we have many lifecycles, coming into one briefly in order that those you love might have the opportunity to learn and grow isn't a great deal to ask.

If you consider the number of parents that have turned the death of their child into something to help other children and parents, you can see the child's loving and spiritual kindness behind the act.

Its only our very narrow view of our excistance that causes us to view a death as the end of one's growth and existance.

My 2 cents

Hi!!!

I agree... the child chooses...all "we" can control is ourselves. So if your planning to have a family.. I would focus on what you can do for the baby even before conception... Folic acid, rest, and the sheer joy of trying to be pregnant

1scorp... i was also induced... but 3 weeks early... and even then it changed at the last minute...
Original due date May 25... Gemini
Induction date 7a.m. May 7th Taurus sun, moon, and venus
Birthdate...May 8th 11:42 p.m. Taurus sun &venus 5th Gemini moon 5th Sag ASC..

Stubborn is all I'll say!!

Yes, 40 hours of labor 4 shift changes of Nurses....worth every minute!

Second child is a Scorpio... Their Virgo mother and Cancer dad are blessed!!!

Hi All

Thanks for all your views. I'm impressed with your range of opinions.

Please be assured this is just an interesting idea to us, it is not our mission so to speak...

I certainly doubt very much that conception will happen as 'planned' even in regards to that fact that we are still aiming to wait another two years, let alone the month!!
Though my partner does like the idea that if we had to 'wait' until feb to concieve he is off the hook for another two years, as I have my heart set on getting married first next feb. He is as many man are, alittle scared about having a mini him to care for...

So please do rest assured I will not be attempting to engineer a perfect child.

As in insight into how this idea occured to me I offer... I get on with almost everyone, I am very easy going and excepting. I am a true cancer mothering type and feel born to birth, love and nurture. However you partner pisces who I love wholly, is very black and white in how he views existance and everything in it. He has vast difficultly in communicating effectively and with paitence and expectance with some star signs. i.e gemini, libra, sag, virgo...

My father who I love endlessly has similar issues which meant I left home at 16. Fine for me I am older and wiser. However my brother is not so lucky. Dad could never have paitence with him and the house is full of inner tension due to the two not getting along. My brother is stiffled and always has been. I understand him, he is a cancer like myself, we have a bond. I want everything for my unborn child when he/she chooses me as its mother. I do not want what my brother and father have as a relationship...

Similar issues with my partner who has a Virgo father and Libra mother. He never ever felt loved and excepted. He was told to toughen up always. Now he cannot even hold my hand in public he is so stiffled by none affection. I want so for our future family to be happy.... I want to help in any way possible to prepare for this. Thank you to the previous writer for suggesting this. Of course I will be preparing phsyically and spirituality... Probably putting all this down to over thinking caused by a wish to pre-pre-prepare for an event I long for which is still on the horizon... Ah first time mums ah : )

Once again thanks for your advice, it has been passionate, sweet, interesting and enlightening.

vintage,

Perhaps you are focusing on the "wrong end"! Instead, you might want to focus on the chart of your baby after you have your baby. This will quickly show you any upcoming challenges or issues your child will face and will help you to prepare in advance how you are going to handle these challenges or issues.

Using baby-centered astrology,

Tim

My belief is that we make agreements before our life here with our parents...you can try to get the child's sun sign approximately close, but it's going to happen when it's supposed to happen anyways...

Come to think of it, my son was due January 22nd, which would have made him an Aquarius with a Virgo moon...instead he is a loveable Cappie with an Aries moon...I love his dry sense of humor...but also wonder what an Aqua son would have been like.

I also chose to be a Sag...I was due February 4th but was born 2 months early on December 4th...

Oh, my parents? My mother was a gentle (and strongly psychic) Pisces and my father a Taurus...despite the fact that Taurus and Sag aren't 'supposed' to get along, my father and I had a very strong tie from day one...so, I suppose the sun sign doesn't matter, really.

Interesting.

Pick two signs you like that are next to each other and go for it you could try to figure out the Venus and Mars...and the outer planets. That’s what I would do.

Personally, there’s no one sign I couldn’t get along with. Though I would try to avoid a time of the year with too many fixed signs - my Saturn is fixed…I don’t like to repeat history
