Hello, everyone. You probably are all are well aware of how stress can manifest as physical symptoms of one kind or another (sometime rather odd symptoms), and I have been under a good deal of stress at work lately. As a result, as always in these circumstances, my shoulders & neck ACHE like a son-of-a-hoo-haw!! Upper back too, but not as much. So, I got to thinking, why always my shoulders/neck/upper back? Well, I have my moon in the 2nd house, the Taurus house, which if I'm not mistaken rules that area of the body. Then, I got to wondering about other people I know, and how stess seems to affect them. My Virgo sweetie, he has a 1st house moon, and a few years ago he had an episode of facial palsey! The muscles on the left side of his face went completely lax, as though he had had a stroke. He couldn't raise his left eyebrow, could only smile with the right side of his mouth, etc. It was so strange and came on so suddenly. At the time, he was under a great deal of stress, as he was working during the day and going to school at night, and struggling with money issues as well. Then, last year, he went about 80% blind in his left eye, while in the process of moving to another province (alone) to set up a second branch for the company he works for. Again, under a great deal of stress. He's fine now, on both counts, but stress always seems to "hit him in the face", literally. Doesn't the first house rule the head & face? So, my question to all you fine Linda-Landers, what house is your moon in, and where does stress seem to hit you most often?
Wondering if I may be on to something here....

WOW!!!I have a sixth house Moon.... If I am feeling stressed, I get headaches and stomach aches, every time I eat, then it goes away... or I will just catch a head cold. I have noticed this pattern... even if it is positive stress,I will start getting a catch in my throat ( as if I am afraid to say anything???) IP: Logged |

I have my moon in the 8th house and stress always hits my stomach. Actually, almost any bad feeling affects my stomach, I feel like I'm gonna vomit. I also lose weight when I'm severely stressed like I was last year.IP: Logged |

Mine's in the 12th in cap. If I get upset or start feeling bad my health just deteriorates in general, I'll get blackouts, fevers, pounding headaches, stomach aches, leaden fatigue, severe ADD, time seeming to pass too slow or too fast and lose my appetite. Then it all just goes away really fast once my mood improves.Stress causes me tons of grief because I become like a machine under stress in order to cope and then can't go back to "being human" for a while - but it's a whole different thing. Hello, hello I've got a 6th house moon in Sagittarius which is also my chart ruler. I defenetly agree with mood affecting your health (good and bad). I go to the gym 5 times a week and it's a BIG pick-me-up. I think better, feel better-its a big boost of energy. (I think it's the Sag in me that has to release this energy) If it's exam time = STRESS time.. Headaches are my biggest complaint. Even emotionally- if someone upsets me I tend to have somatic type complaints. (this is when I suck it up princess and go to the gym). When there are transits to the moon I feel that they change how my body feels - for example I find mars transits relly give me a shot of energy - they are sometimes my best days at the gym (how much I can lift/endurance etc). Even when the moon is void (and depending on other transits) I find it is a really great time to have a nap and it really rejuvinates me. Has anyone here noticed a correlation between getting sick(ie-flu/cold) and transits? Ive never looked but I am curious! Great topic! Cheers IP: Logged |

This is interesting. I just talked about this with an 8th house mooner who suffers from IBS, (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) typically set off when stressed. 8th house rules elimination, does it not? Anyone have a good list of what houses rule what parts of the body & bodily functions? IP: Logged |

Who knows. I go through alot of different emotions in one day. Now that's stressing.Leads to alot of mental strain also with so much crap in your head.

Whow! 6th house moon here and during a time in my life when I was incredibly stressed I suffered from headaches, allergies, and all kinds of stomach problems. I'd often wake up in the morning with a splitting headache which then caused me to throw up rather violently several times. Once the stress went away so did all of these symptoms.IP: Logged |

I have my Moon in Sagittarius in the 3rd House.Whenever I get too stressed out, I get headaches, sore throats, my skin breaks out, it begins to get difficult for me to focus, and I start to get restless. I also have the rather mutable habit of avoiding whatever is stressing me out, and procrastinating, or just not doing whatever I should be doing. IP: Logged |

Ok, this is what I found1st house - The head and face , stature, complexion, strength, energy 2nd house - The neck, throat, voice, base of skull, acme of spine 3rd house - The arms, wrists, hands, fingers, shoulders, lungs, thyroid gland and nervous system , mental clarity, (re: shoulders -interesting, my moon opposes my mercury, natural ruler of the 3rd. I guess we have to look at aspects to the moon as well) 4th house - The stomach, digstive system, ribs, breasts 5th house - The heart, the lower back 6th house - The intestines, the skin 7th house -Kidneys, bladder, groin 8th house - Sex organs, rectum, urethra, Sex drive, menstral cycle. 9th house - Hips, thighs, buttocks, the sciatic nerve 10th house - skeletal structure, skin 11th house - Legs and ankles, blood circulation, electricity of the body, enzymes, eye retina 12th house - The feet and toes, phlegm and mucus, endocrine system (skin is in there 3 times - hmmm) IP: Logged |

Moon is in my 12th house in Pisces. Any idea on that one? Don't get bothered by stress that much. Sometimes, whenever I am not in the greatest mood or could be attributed to stress is that my lower legs and feet hurt and I am unable to stand for long durations.I hate standing in general, really. when i get stressed, my skin looks so insanely dull and just bad. even if i don't break out, (which i do usually), my skin just gets irritated very easily. it gets dry and peels and just looks unhealthy. also my joints ache terribly. it's so painful, a lot of times they actually "lock" and get stuck to the point where it's more painful to move than it is to sit there and bear with it... my moon is in leo in the 10th house

My moon is in the 4th house. When I'm feeling stressed, it makes me anxious (a sick feeling inside my stomach and racing, disturbing thoughts flitting through my mind). IP: Logged |

Hi! I have my moon in the 4th house.I have been in a stressful situation for too long and stress just kicked me hard. Woke up three weeks ago with Bell's Palsy, basically the right side of my face is parylized. I go to this forum about the syndrome and soo many say stress was the #1 factor. This is a great thread, but the house stuff lioneye posted didn't seem to fit for me. I'll do some checking myself and get back to this. IP: Logged |

thanks all for the feedbackI think we have to start looking at planets that aspect our moon, as well as sign placement of moon as well. Another thing to look at - 12th house & nightmares when stressed. Or aspects to Neptune & Neptune placements.
Apparently, nightmares are a common manifestation of stress in the living world IP: Logged |

hi guys, Whenever I get stressed or rundown, I get throat infections and/or laryngitis. I always thought this was because of my Taurus sun (rules the throat). But also it could be my Aries moon in the third. Doesn't the third house rule communication.? That fits in with this theory doesn't it?nic IP: Logged | |
