the moon almanac is a place to start. look to marry in a fixed month like taurus/leo and or marry when the moon is in positive aspect to your own moon/venus. firey transiting moons signify burnout etc.. look to the elements to guide you. of course it all depends on what type of marriage you find ideal.

You might want to google Magi Astrology and check out their website; they have a lot of information on picking the right date and believe the date you pick is essential. I don't know enough about it to explain it, so you would be better off reading it for yourself.

From what I understand, Vedic (Hindu) astrology is the best for picking important dates.
