New Moon in Aries: Wednesday, March 29, 2006 2:15am PST, 5:15am EST, 10:15am GMT 8º35' Aries Total Solar Eclipse: 2:30am PST, 5:30am EST, 10:30am GMT 8º44' Aries quote: Because Aries is the youngest of the signs, this is the New Moon for fresh starts. Aries represents the inner child; that amazingly trusting, innocent soul that lives within each of us. Even in the worst of times, it is important to be aware of the ever-present humor that exists in the darkest moments of our lives. After all, the greatest comedy does arise from the deepest tragedies. I realize innocence is hard to conjure up when the world is in such disarray, but this is the only New Moon of the year when we get to start all over again. If this past year has left you feeling beaten down, depressed, and physically or emotionally wounded, this is the New Moon to start anew. When darkness comes into our lives, we must remember that the dawn will eventually come. This New Moon is the rising sun, the light at the end of the tunnel, the beginning of your journey back to wholeness. It is a refreshing and joyful New Moon. Winter is over! Renewal has arrived!
Rest of article at: http://www.astrowisdom.com/thisnewmoon.htm An old LL thread with lots of info on New Moons: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/004447.html Letters to the Universe/New Moon Wishes: http://www.janspiller.com/forums/showthread.php?t=407 Lunations from The Mountain Astrologer mag: http://www.mountainastrologer.com/206lunations.html The following is from: http://www.janspiller.com/forums/showthread.php?t=407 quote: Wednesday, March 29, 5:16 am EST is the New Moon Power Day in March! This day offers us an ESPECIALLY potent New Moon for two reasons: it combines with a Solar Eclipse. Because it is the New Moon in Aries, it is the most potent Moon of the year for making wishes involving new beginnings! If you have a copy of the book: New Moon Astrology, be sure to consult page 13 for more information on this potent New Moon and Treasure Maps. Don’t miss this opportunity to make wishes for experiences you’d like to have. Because this New Moon is in the sign of Aries, it’s a powerful time for wishes involving courage, starting new enterprises, and making a new beginning in any area that is important to you: a relationship, a business, a job, a new behavior. Things you may have wanted to happen in your life for a long time can begin easily manifesting through using the boost of this powerful New Moon. For success, your wishes must be handwritten on paper and ten wishes maximum are allowed on each power day. The most potent time is the first 8 hours AFTER the exact time of the New Moon; within the first 48 hours will still work. The potency continues to exist for another twelve hours, but is weaker. For clear success, its best to avoid wishing during those hours when the Moon is Void of Course. Therefore in MARCH 2006, your most potent times for wishing are: Wednesday, March 29: 5:16 am to 12 Midnight; Thursday, March 30: 12:01 am to 10:40 am - and - 4:02 pm to 12 midnight; Friday, March 31: all day and night. These times are in Eastern Standard Time and need to be converted to your local time zone.

what's interesting is that I have an Aries DSC. Would that mean that I'll have a fresh start in the area of Romance and Relationships?I've been wanting to start the Romantic Era in my friendship with a certain Sag I know. [yes- same one I always end up mentioning, lol]. I suppose this a good time to start, eh? Actually, this is really good news since he's supposedly going to ask me to Prom soon. Supposedly. It's a rumor.. Yay, this news has made my day! IP: Logged |

Nihilive ~The Solar Eclipse, or (transiting) New Moon will be happening in your 12th house tomorrow. As new moons are often a catalyst for new beginnings, I would first read up on Aries ruling the 12th house, then Moon in the 12th house, then Moon in Aries to synthesize/interpret what is happening in that "Field of Life Experience"..... The New Moon will also be trining your nSaturn in Sag..... 'Zala IP: Logged |

Today I was oddly in the Best mood I have been in-- in a year. I had a big sh@@t-eating grin on my face. Go figure. LOL... Something's gonna happen.... IP: Logged |

braveheart, I would ask Tim how you think the Eclipse will affect your Moon. 6 degrees isn’t too large an orb in my book…..The Eclipse will be conjuncting my Jupiter-Chiron MP, exactly opposing my Mercury-Pluto MP and Mars-Neptune MP, and trining my Uranus-Pluto MP. I don’t have a clue how this will manifest, but the Moon can act as a trigger when it passes over the angles, other planets, and their midpoints. I’ve read that it can take up to six months for the fallout from an event triggered by an Eclipse to be fully revealed. And if it’s a Neptunian contact, it could be even longer ‘Zala PS: Thanks, Laura! IP: Logged |

Don't wanna hijack your thread...but would like to keep this one up.This is what I found in my mailbox today from Stariq... New Moon in Aries Wednesday, March 29, 2:16 am PST quote: The New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aries can make us feel naked and alone. But the path of the individual is not a journey away from home, an exile in a lonely body and isolated mind. This is only an illusion for none of us is separate from the universe that binds us together. All roads lead back to ourselves, so there are no wrong paths. Let the pioneering spirit of Aries embolden you to go where your spirit leads. Once in motion, power and potential flow more easily, enabling you to reach a stated goal or unknown places still to be discovered.
quote: This New Moon in Aries is a partial Solar Eclipse, so the sign of beginnings also signifies endings now. Strike out into new territory once you have let go of baggage from the past. Old struggles needn't continue in your next venture. Sturdy Saturn supports this lunation with a creative trine that will reward bold moves that are well-planned and executed with discipline.
quote: Pluto Retrograde Wednesday, March 29 The lord of the underworld turns backwards until September 7. This is a subtle shift that can hide desires with shame, but is meant to take us to the depths of ourselves. It may be dark and scary there at times, yet connecting to one's core is the most empowering thing one can do.
Saturn Direct Wednesday, March 29 Projects that have been on a slow burn since last Autumn are getting closer to realization. The planet of reality turning forward is a signal to commit ourselves and start building our dreams. Saturn in Leo calls for joy and courage, so let your heart guide your actions, rather than relying on logic alone.
quote: Venus in Pisces Wednesday, April 5, 6:21 pm PDT The planet of romance is exalted in this sensitive and spiritual sign. This is a time for compassion and unconditional love. Relationships are marked by vulnerability that is necessary to become more intimate. Yet a lack of discernment can lead to projecting fantasies on objects of desire that don't measure up to expectations.
Full Moon in Libra Thursday, April 13, 9:40 am PDT The Full Moon in Libra opposes the emotional need for cool consideration against the Sun in Aries' fiery need for action. The face-off in the signs of action and deliberation, independence and cooperation may bring relationship issues to a boil. But there's no need to choose between solitude and sacrifice. It's more a matter of learning how to move gracefully between these two poles than being stuck on one or the other.
Mars in Cancer Thursday, April 13, 6:00 pm PDT Normally aggressive Mars takes a more tender tack in cuddly and caring Cancer. Self-protection can trigger defensive behavior, even timidity. Advances are made cautiously to avoid conflict. Defusing anger is helpful, but denying it may amplify it in time. Building is possible now, but often in an overly deliberate or round-about manner.
Mercury in Aries Sunday, April 16, 5:20 am PDT Mental Mercury in Aries fires the mind with bright ideas and pops words from mouths without reflection. Impulse and intuition guide thought now. A fresh perspective is possible, but it can also be overly narrow. When pressured, step back to widen your perspective as the answer you seek may be just outside your field of vision.
Sun in Taurus Wednesday, April 19, 10:26 pm PDT The Sun's entry into the mid-season sign of Taurus awakens the senses. Breathe in the smell of the earth of which we are a part. This is a time of peace that comes from accepting the gifts of the material world. Self-acceptance heals, but self-indulgence and stubbornness are signs of fear, rather than faith, and should be tempered.

But WAIT! There's more!... (to a Sag there's always more) By Yasmin Boland
It's time to get over what's been, to move on, to shake off, to restart. Never mind what happened in the past – here comes the New Moon eclipse, moreover, in the super-charged sign of Aries. (All the signs are powerful in their own way, but Aries has extra oomph, partly because it's the sign associated with off-like-a-rocket Mars, and partly because it's the first sign off the zodiac's starting blocks.) Eclipses seasons are always excitable, tense and/or heated times – this week's eclipse promises us all the new, all the beginnings and all the firsts we ask for. If you've wandered way off your right and proper path, it's the time when the Universe is likely to shunt you back to where it wants you to be. Eg: you're involved with a relationship with someone who's not treating you well. Do you really think God/the Universe wants that for you? Uh uh. Often relationships end dramatically and suddenly at the time of an eclipse because we've been clinging on to something which we should have had the sense to let go of ages earlier. So watch out, particularly if you happen to have Sun, Moon, Venus or your Rising sign between 3 and 13 Aries (see www.astro.com or visit an astrologer to find out). It's often said that what ends at the time of an eclipse will never restart. This sounds harsh and a little bit scary but the reason comes back to the same deal: what happens around the eclipse is meant to be. It can take days, weeks, months and even years to see it, but it does eventually become clear. And what is the fate of what starts around an eclipse? Since eclipses are karmic, it's safe to assume that what starts at the time of the eclipse New Moon has a very good chance to continue. If you're starting a job, a love affair or just about anything else now, you have a sort of astral rocket underneath you which should hopefully help you charge towards success. If it's your birthday this week, you're in for a truly memorable year. The New Moon eclipse will take place on March 29 at 9.11pm AEDT (Sydney), 10.11am GMT (London) and 5.11am EST (Noo Yawk). Remember to make at least one wish just afterwards, preferably for something you want to instigate in your life. Jonathan Cainer The Moon is new and, tomorrow, it will pass in front of the Sun. In some places (Libya and Turkey for example) the eclipse of the Sun will be total. In the UK, it will only be partial. And in Australia and the United States it will not be visible at all. Even if the clouds part long enough to make it visible, we won't be able to watch without special glasses. Happily though, you don't have to see an eclipse to benefit from it. You just have to be 'open' to the idea that positive change can happen, no matter how stale things seem. Then, somehow, the rare alignment of Earth, Sun and Moon makes it possible. The path of the Moon's umbral shadow begins at the eastern tip of Brazil around 8am (Universal Time; 4am local time) and extends across the Atlantic, northern Africa, Libya, Chard, Egypt and Turkey. Visible in Ankara at 11am (Universal Time; 1pm local time). The path continues through central Asia, ending at sunset in western Mongolia. A partial eclipse will be seen within the much broader path of the Moon's penumbral shadow, which includes the northern two thirds of Africa, Europe, and central Asia. IP: Logged |
