Aspects/placements /in general/ for this (behavior-wise)? Have read that Saturn would be ruling over this, so maybe personal placements in Cappy would be more prone [?] but in Rex E. Bill's book Uranus in parentheses is apparently the "ruler" Also, which do you think would be more prone to this, An aqua or a capricorn Moon? I'm trying to figure out this person's chart and no matter what the sign the Moon makes "good" aspects so no squares to Saturn etc. Person in question is an Aqua and this trait seems unusual for this sign, or no? Thanks guys! IP: Logged |

Well, my father is aqua and he is quite controller, maybe it is because the rol he has with me as a father...I have other friend who is aqua and she is the most organised person I know, she always has everything under control but I donīt know about her relationships. I donīt have more info, just this two tips!IP: Logged |

I think fixed signs are controlling. I knew a guy with Pluto in the 1st in Scorpio, opposite Mars (Taurus) in the 7th and square Jupiter (Aquarius).. so a fixed square. He has issues. I'd probably say it was closest to narcissism, if I had to classify it as something. Definitely controlling. Same guy has Saturn in the 1st, also in Scorpio. IP: Logged |

Yeah, fixed signs sounds right. Cap is controlling but not manipulatively controlling in general unless saturn makes aspects to pluto or is in a fixed sign.Look for sun/moon/mercury-pluto hard aspects (esp. squares) for an unconscious desire to manipulate others. A 1st house saturn could make the person try to slow down everyone else's progress. I know people with mercury square pluto who like to stick their nose where it doesn't belong quite a bit and you have a hard time fending them off. IP: Logged |

Arnicka,Pluto is the energy of being "controlling" while Saturn is about being "in control". To simplify this, I prefer to think of Saturn as "the authority" and Pluto as "the power". If you want to find a controlling person, find one with Pluto conjunct (energy is combined with) their Midheaven (outer world). They want to control their (and maybe everybody else's!) outer world! In control, Tim IP: Logged |

Tim,I see you mentioned having Pluto conjunct MC as a sign of a controlling personality. I have that in my natal chart but haven't found much about it except astro saying the parents are extremely controlling/possessive which has been true. Do you know of any sites or resources which go into the details of that aspect? Thanks for advance. IP: Logged |

Liz Greene Paperback - 378 pages (January 1986) Samuel Weiser; ISBN: 0877286361 one reviewer wrote: Liz Greene has influenced my thinking more than any individual, astrologer or not. Her experience as a Jungian analyst, her Rising Sign in Scorpio, her Pluto in the 9th house, all give her the power and perspective to write as she does about this difficult area of astrology. If you have Pluto prominent in your chart, do yourself a favor and read this book. You will probably feel like, at last, someone understands you and the "way it is" for the Pluto Club. Greene gives unforgettable examples of case history from her astrological practice. Her writing is a marvel of craft, skill, and discipline, laced with some British-isms that seem charming to me. I place her at the top of writers in the field for her style and scope. What I like most about this book, however, is the profundity of her thoughts, the compassion so evident in her commentary and the healing insights which accompany her lucid descriptions of this dark planet through the signs, houses and lives of those discussed. I do not think you can adequately understand Pluto without absorbing this book. There is none other its equal in the present market. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * The Book of Pluto (Paperback) by Steven Forrest Paperback: 352 pages Publisher: Astro Communications Services (April 1, 1995) ISBN: 0935127348 one reviewer wrote: Steven Forrest tackles the planet of intensity, interpreting Pluto by house, sign and aspect with great sensitivity, incredible honesty and the author's wonderfully literate style. I have Pluto in the 1st and when I was younger I was an extreme control freak. When people weren't what I wanted them to be I gave them a hard time and was very unyielding and unforgiving. I was very rigid and dogmatic. Not something you'd expect from a person w/4 mutable planets. I have since become older and wiser. I understand that control is an illusion. I'm just interested in living a good life and embracing people for who they are and not what I want them to be. Having Pluto in my 1st house does make me concerned with being reborn so to speak. I feel as if I am constantly reincarnating and changing for the better. ------------------ Before you speak, ask yourself, is it kind, is it necessary, is it true, does it improve on the silence? -Sai Baba IP: Logged |

neval,You asked: quote: ...my pluto in libra and my MC is libra..is that mean conjuction...
If you Pluto is within 8 degrees of the Midheaven, I would consider it a conjunction. If Pluto is more than 8 degrees of the Midheaven, I would not consider it a conjunction. Simply, Tim IP: Logged |

Lauren ~ I think of Aqua & control & it doesn't seem to fit because of the "detachemnt" but you are right about the fixed sgins, so I see this now. TYjkxx ~ TY for aspects 2 look 4 Tim ~ Would Pluto opposing the MC also qualify? This is someone who would classify as "Plutonian" in the sense that they are quite extreme in their behaviors going to one end of the spectrum and then dishing it all out to go to the other, regularly purges their residence of excess "junk" cos they don't want to feel unfettered, pushes self quite intensely, etc. So a strong pluto looks possible. sdg1844 ~ Do you find that you are more comfortable around people who see things in black and white/who are unambiguous about their beliefs/thoughts/etc.? This would all be referencing the past when you saw yourself as more controlling. TY IP: Logged |

Amricka: I do find your statement true. I am more comfortable around people who are clear and explicit about their beliefs, thoughts, etc. The whole kind of blurry thing makes me crazy.. Tim,thanks for the link. This looks like a much more complete version of astro's interpretation. shop, The 8 to 9 degrees apart figure which Tim used is the most commonly accepted one for conjunctions (but I've seen astrologers go as tight as 6 degrees or as wide as 13). If the planets are in the same sign but more than 8-9 degrees apart they'll work in a compatible way but won't be conjunct. (The conjunction implies a fusion of the planets' energies instead of just the planets expressing their energies in a similar way.) IP: Logged | |
