blue,In doing relationship comparisons, the first step is to understand how each person approaches relationships by looking at Libra, Venus, and 7th house (all are about relationships) in both charts. Ruth's chart has Libra modifying Pluto (transformation, also power), indicating gaining power through or being overpowered by relationships. Libra in a fate degree (strong energy - planets/points at 29 degrees or 0- degrees) modifies North node (future goals), indicating a strong focus on relationships. Venus squares (energy needs to be cobmined with) Uranus (friends), indicating Ruth may want "friendly relationships"...close but not TOO close. Neptune (spirituality, also idealization) trines (energy goes very easily with) Venus, indicating Ruth may idealize relationships and expect them to be "perfect". There is no energy focused in the 7th house, indicating Ruth does not focus on relationships. Carl has a stellium (collection of energy) in Libra, conjunct (energy is combined with) his Descendant (others), indicating he is strongly focused on relating to others. He has Venus square Uranus. He has Pluto conjunct Descendant, indicating he may over power others or be overpowered by others in relationships. He has Saturn (duty, also structure, restriction) conjunct Descendant, indicating he likes to structure others around him or feels restricted by those around him. The first thing to look for in relationship charts is any connections between the Sun and Moon by themselves. There is a connection between Sun and Moon so Ruth and Carl are "connected" somehow. The next thing to look for are the aspects made between Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars (also called "personal" planets). There are several interconnections, some easy and some challenging between these planets, indicating a balance of easy and challenging interrelationship energy. There are possibilities of a relationship but each person's possible need for freedom, combined with Ruth's possible idealization of the relationship and Carl's possible need to dominate the relationship could make for stressful situations. If Ruth can accept that no relationship is perfect and requires the work of BOTH people in the relationship, and Carl can make sure he SHARES power in the relationship, things could work out between Ruth and Carl. blue,I am a holistic astrologer, meaning that I don't focus on individual aspects, but on the "big picture" of the chart(s). Looking at the "big picture" EVERY aspect is easy and difficult at the same time! If a synastry has all "easy" aspects it can be difficult to get work at developing the relationship (the thinking is, "We relate so easily to each other, so why bother working on it?"). If a synastry has all "challenging" aspects it may be easier to get both people to work on the relationship (the thinking is, "This is SO challenging and we have already put in so much effort: we HAVE to make this work!). So all I can say is the most difficult thing in a relationship is getting along with the other person! Once you both master that, your synastry aspects won't be that "difficult" at all!
