Hey yall! Been away awhile, how's it goin?

I just bought "Parkers' Astrology" and I really really love it. One of the suggestions is to work with a buddy learning to anaylize natal charts. i would love to partner up with someone who is around my knowledge level.

I have been into astrology for about 4 years, and although I have a pretty good hold on the signs, houses, planets etc, i still end up relying on books to get my way through some readings.

If anyone has this book and wants to use their method with me, let me know. we can take turns doing the charts of people we know, that way we can also fly blind.

trippysht,

You asked:

Why only settle for ONE buddy, when the Internet can give you MANY points of view? Just post the chart info (and the chart image itself, if possible) and people online can give their feedback on the charts. That way you will get MANY different perspectives and learn a LOT of astrology in the process. And, if you don't understand something...just ask online!

While you could post charts of people you know, you could also post charts of famous people. If you don't happen to know their data you can search here: http://www.astrotheme.fr/en/celestar/selection_star.php?provenance=annuaire

Suggesting astrological learning methods in the Internet age,

Tim

trippysht,

Speaking from my own personal experience:

Parker's Astrology was one of the very first books that helped me understand Astrology better...for a beginner, I believe, that book is great for someone who may be just starting out.

Just start out slow if you have to...don't rush into it. It took me about 10 years to truly understand my chart and how my life experiences were mirrored in there and all of the potential, both acted and unacted that I started seeing in it. It takes time and patience to really understand it. Internet and books certainly will aid in this process, but don't rush into getting any answers just yet. What will be the greatest reward for you is when the day comes that you truly understand and appreciate your chart from the journey you have taken so far to the potential journeys you have yet to make with it.

I wish you all the best on your astrological journey!
