Does anyone here have some good references on medical astrology? I don't know where to begin. I am particularly interested in doing a decumbiture chart, only I do not know exactly when it was that I got ill. I had a doctor's appointment last week for a health issue and they ran some tests which revealed that I could have a growth on my bladder. I see the specialist today.

I was wondering if I could use the day/date/time/location of my appointment last week for the decumbiture chart, even though I've been having problems for quite some time. Also, I did not really get diagnosed at that appointment; the specialist today is going to run some more extensive tests and then I'll know what I'm dealing with. Does anyone know if I could do that, take the time of the 1st app't? Or should I take the time of today's app't where I will likely find out exactly what is wrong?

Here is a link to some general info:

Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

What is your rising sign? what is in your 6th house? could you put up your chart?

Hey shop,

Would you be so kind to explain how to go about interpreting that? 6th house ruler, or what houses do they represent? If 6th house is Cappie, should I go looking where is Saturn and then associate ailments to that house? 1st, head, migraines for example?

I have Sun in the 6th house directly opposing Pluto in the 12th (my Moon in 3rd squares both). I have Libra rising so Venus is my chart ruler and it's in the 5th house exactly square Saturn in the 8th.

I brought out Rex E. Bills' book on rulerships last night...I checked and the bladder is ruled by Scorpio. The kidneys are ruled by Libra. The ureters, which transport the urine from the kidneys to the bladder, have shared rulership of both Libra and Scorpio. Bills assigns the rulership of the bladder to Scorpio, Pluto, Mars and the 8th house. He adds that single references to the Moon and Cancer also exist.

So transiting Pluto is stimulating my Moon (by conjunction), Pluto in 12th (by square), Sun in 6th (by square). In addition I've got transiting Jupiter in Scorpio squaring my natal Venus and opposing my Saturn in the 8th. There seems to be lots of signatures emphasizing bladder issues.

The specialist yesterday scheduled me for 2 tests, so I did not really get diagnosed. However, I go in soon for an overnight thing where they will do some exploratory stuff. Then after that I have to go in for a pressure test.

Thanks for the book recommendation! I found 2 other books that should be helpful: Noel Tyl's “Astrological Timing of Critical Illness” and Eileen Nauman’s “Medical Astrology”.

Good luck to you, Chrissymgreen. I hope it turns out to be nothing too serious for you.

My dad was diagnosed with bladder cancer in January. At the time, he had transiting Saturn (structure) conjuncting natal Pluto (abnormal growth) in Leo in the 11th house (circumstances beyond your control). Aries rules his 8th house cusp. I had transiting Saturn (limits, supression) conjuncting my natal Sun (father) in my 3rd.

According to March and McEvers, the bladder and eliminative systems are ruled by Mars, Pluto and Scorpio. Pluto rules abnormal growths, such as tumours.

Anyway, he had his bladder removed and his lymph nodes were clear, so they got all the cancer. He dyed his hair for 25 plus years. It contains benzene, which can cause bladder cancer.

The Bob Marks' link is a good one. Here are a couple more for you:

Eileen Nauman’s “Medical Astrology”. she is one of the best in my opinion, i have some of her books and she is totally into it, a master I would say, also there is Ingrid Naiman, they are two I read all the time. I have the Medical Astrology book, big ol blue baby, worth every penny, though I would read it in peace and quiet.

As a Clinical Massage Therapist Humans and Equine, I believe in Medical Astrology totally, I can feel it in working on bodies.

Also Linda talked about Music and such, these things go hand in hand...massage, music, medical (goodness I have to write that down later for a book lol), but yes there is a woman recommended by one of the Medical astrologers below, this woman plays music by Harp, I have a CD that is used to stabalize animals, horses, dogs and such, it is used when they are brought across seas and are left in quarantine and such, but its great for massaging them, let the music flow and they melt to relaxation. anyway...I never come in here alot, but I saw that thread and I love Med Astrology..so here are the best links I think..these are in my astrology folder from a couple of years and I beleive these two girls are the best and the other links are books and music..it all goes into one.

I hope I am not too late in helping you.

Pls make sure you evaluate your current diet for acid-alkali imbalance. The past few days in "Health and Healing" forum, we have been discussing how Ph imbalance alone is the root cause of all illness.
Negative astrological aspects afflict only
1 to 5% of normal if we are determined to improve our health by changing our set patterns.

Thanks so much guys, for your information and support!

Well, I had my cystoscopy/bladder biopsy with hydrodistention (boy, that was painful) and it turns out that I have advanced Interstitial Cystitis, not a growth. My bladder walls are scarred, bleeding and even cracked in places. IC is basically a condition that is a chronic inflammation of the bladder due in some cases to ulcers all over the bladder that scar the walls and make the bladder stiff, causing chronic pain in the pelvic region and frequency/urgency of urination (I go in some cases up to 50 times a day/night). There are 2 kinds of IC, ulcerative and non-ulcerative, and I have the former. The bladder ulcers are called Hunner's ulcers.

There are a combination of meds that I can get on, but there is no cure for IC. The meds can take a while to take effect. Lqhunk, I have checked into the acid-alkili imbalance thing because my doctor said I would have to follow a special IC diet and that's basically what it involves, readjusting the body's pH balance -- my diet before this issue arose contained many stressors, I LOVE tomatoes and coffee and beer, basically all the things I can't have now.

I joined an IC support group on-line, it's such a relief to finally not feel like a freak for going so much and enduring this awful pain. I don't sleep at night because I'm always in the bathroom. I DREAD going to bed at night. I've done some research into herbal remedies and I've found some things to try, but I have to check with the doctor 1st because I've read in some cases they can cause urine retention, and by some cruel twist of nature, I go tons of times a day but can only manage a quarter cup of urine for the whole day, so these herbal remedies may not be the wisest choice for me. I already tried something I found on-line called Bladder-Control for 2 months and that didn't work. I still went as many times a day and I still had the pain.

Anyways, thanks so much guys for all those helpful links!

Chrissy

Thanks for the update. I'm so glad that you don't have a growth! Good luck with your treatment plan. I hope you feel much better very soon.
