Lets say you had an opp of two planets in they re native signs like pluto in scorpio and venus in taurus would that make the aspect in a chart more powerful Your could even go further and say if pluto were in the 8th house in scorpio and venus were in the 2nd house of taurus that it would be even more powerful? The basic question here is how do two planets being in they re native signs and or houses effect the relationship to eachother. For that matter what about sign reversal in aspect to eachother like mars in cancer moon in Aires or jupiter in Aqua and uranus in Sagg or Moon in Libra and Venus in Cancer?IP: Logged |

Salisa,You asked: quote: Lets say you had an opp of two planets in they re native signs like pluto in scorpio and venus in taurus would that make the aspect in a chart more powerful Your could even go further and say if pluto were in the 8th house in scorpio and venus were in the 2nd house of taurus that it would be even more powerful?
Yes. Let's use "keywords" to make this a little more obvious (more in Step 5 in link below): Scorpio modifying Pluto opposite Taurus modifying Venus is Scorpio (transformation) modifying Pluto (transformation) opposite (energy is over-excited by) Taurus (physical) modifying Venus (physical) So that's a LOT of transformation and physical going on! And in your second example, there is even MORE: Scorpio (transformation) modifying Pluto (transformation) focused in the 8th house (transformation) opposite (energy is over-excited by) Taurus (physical) modifying Venus (physical) focused in the 2nd house (physical) So that is ALL transformation excited by ALL physical. That adds up to a LOT of energy on transformation and physical. Consider that another word for "transformation" is "power" and that is a LOT of power going on! Salisa -It was difficult for me to understand the last part of that question, but as for the other stuff, I think it DOES tend to make the Aspects stronger, but like everything in astrology, knowing that only leads to more compartments full of specificity. Keep in mind that Planets in their natural Signs/Houses may experience the deepest of each native Sign, however, it does NOT mean a "reversal aspect" doesn't come with it's own lessons. It depends a lot on the Chart as a whole, as well as the state of mind of said victim. ------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness IP: Logged |

Salisa,Astro just reminded me of the second part of your question. This is called a "mutual reception" and the effect is to strengthen the energy of both planets. So: Mars is in Cancer (Moon's sign) and Moon is in Aries (Mars' sign) Results in an exchange of energies between emotions (Moon) and action (Mars). Continuing explaining, Tim IP: Logged |

Tim,What about a Capricorn Venus (7th house) squaring a Libra Pluto (don't know the house), in synastry, 4 degree orb. Can you elaborate on that aspect? Thanks. IP: Logged |

Cap,The example you give has one planet in the house it rules (Venus), so that the "keyword" for that planet and house ("relationships") is emphasized in the interpretation (more about keywords in Step 5 below). So Capricorn modifying Venus focused in the 7th house square Libra modifying Pluto becomes Capricorn (duty, also structure) modifying Venus (relationships) focused in the 7th house (relationships) square (energy needs to be combined with) Libra (relationships) modifying Pluto (transformation, also control) To simplify this, lets first notice the emphasis on "relationships". And not just ANY relationships, but serious relationships that have a structure to them (such as a marriage). Now we combine this idea of "structured relationships" with the idea of "control". Somehow these structured relationships are "controlling" or are "controlled" by someone or something. The challenge of Pluto control issues is: control or be controlled. And the challenge of control in a relationship is to SHARE control, so each person has a say in the relationship. However control corrupts and absolute control corrupts absolutely (as someone "sorta" said! ). The temptation of the person to want to take ALL the control is VERY strong and hard to resist. Thanks, Tim! I like your explanations, and those sign-offs can't be beat! This is all dead-on for what's going on here in that relationship. IP: Logged | |
