Gemini is correct about what a Solar Return is, although different astrologers believe differently about how significant it is. Most commonly astrologers who use Solar Returns create a chart for the exact time when the Sun returns to the place it was at your birth. This is called a "Solar Return chart". The idea is that this chart represents the "birth" of your Solar Return year. So the Solar Return chart is valid for a year...the time from when it was created until when the Sun reaches the same exact position next year.

For example, if you were born on June 7, 1980, your Solar Return chart for this year would be valid from about June 7, 2005 until June 7, 2006. I say "about" because sometimes the Solar Return time occurs a day ahead or a day after your birth day.

ESHWARI1987, My birth year is 1967. What is your mom like? Is she gentle and kind and always picking up stray dogs(meaning having a need to help the less fortunate). You are from India. I have a feeling that in one of my life times I was from India or of Indian descent. I relate well to alot of people from other countries, especially India.
