Hey folks, good day to all, can anyone advise? In a synastry chart how profound is it if a persons moon conjuncts another persons pluto? My pluto conjuncts my hubbie's moon (in virgo).

My saturn also conjuncts his ascendant (in taurus), which I have a feeling won't be good news!

We have however been together nearly ten years with 90% of this time being very good.

CANCER MOON 12TH HOUSE

loulou,

You said:

While astrology can help people better understand their relationship, if over used it can cast doubts on a well-working relationship. You said it all in this sentence: the energy between you works well together. Enjoy it and accept it.

In answer to your question, your Pluto (transformation, also power) conjuncting (energy is combined with) his Moon (home, also emotions) suggests you could either OVERpower or EMpower his emotions...the second option is most likely better! Your Saturn (duty, also structure, restriction) conjunct his Ascendant (self), indicates you could either restrict him or help structure him in some way...again, the second choice is the one most likely to develop the harmony of your marriage! And, since it seems you both get along with each other very well, I most likely am telling you something you already know!

Giving the obvious,

Tim

virgo,

A conjunction between two people's energies has to do with a combination of energies. The opposition between two people's energies has to do with a struggle between the two people's energies. Both the Pluto and the Moon person will try to "take over" the other person in some way. The challenge for the Moon person is they try to "take over" with emotions (Moon), while the Pluto person will try to take over with power (Pluto). As a result, the Pluto personal almost always ends up "in charge" in the case of any power struggle and the Moon person ends up feeling emotionally drained. To avoid this, the Pluto person needs to learn how to share their power in relationships and the Moon person needs to be more nurturing and less emotional.

Powerfully nurturing,

Tim

hi Tim thanks very much for that interpretation - it seems spot on - only thing is the other person has moon opposite pluto in his own chart so this synastry seems to work in the opposite way - sometimes one of us being in control and the other drained and other times reversed - hope that makes sense
ive also read that pluto is about psychological truth and in this case the pluto person should temper that although it does come from a place of love, its sometimes too much all at once - and of course aspects never work in isolation so it helps if you have mitigating softer ones in the mix

Earthy,

His Venus (relationships) focused in your 1rst house (being, also action) could indicate you feel he wants to take action in your relationships with him. It also could indicate you feel he wants to "conquer" you in a relationship somehow. It is important to understand that this is only how YOU may see the relationship...most likely he sees his relationship energy COMPLETELY differently.

His Mars conjunct (energy is combined with) your Pluto (transformation, also power) and Saturn (duty, also restriction) could indicate his energy gets you powerfully active in issues of duty and responsibility. Since Mars is also associated with anger, it might seem he is angry with you in some way. Another possibility is you may powerfully restrict his actions in some way. No houses are involved in this example, so the energy is felt by BOTH people in the relationship: his actions may feel powerfuly checked to him, and your powerful duty may feel "charged up" in some way by him.

Giving both sides,

Tim
