His sun is in his 8th house, and my Sun is sitting on the cusp of his 8th house which I assume is interpreted as in his 8th house (on the line mostly in 7th house). What does this mean for synastry?

Also my venus in his 7th house?

Thanks! Lastly, I am not understanding how if his Sun is in Capricorn, and his Sun is in his 8th house, how can his 8th house be ruled by Sag.? Because these houses are sitting between two signs, is that why?

His Sun (self-expression) is focused in his 8th house (transformation, also power) could indicate he expresses himself powerfully in some way.

Your Sun focused in his 7th house (relationships) near his 8th house (transformation, also power) could indicate that he sees you as expressing yourself in some sort of powerful relationship to him.

Your Venus (relationships) focused in his 7th house (relationships) could indicate he feels a strong relationship connection between you.

It sounds like Sagittarius is the sign on the cusp (edge) of his 8th house, so Sagittarius rules the 8th house. This has NOTHING to do with the sign of planets in the 8th house. I agree, this is confusing, which is why I use the 4 points (Ascendant, Nadir, Descendant, and Midheaven) in interpretation and ignore the other house cusps (edited, with a nod to Astro Junkie for pointing this out ).
