He's a musican and I just AHHHH I think I love him. He's coming over on wes. and I need to know what to cook for him. We'll have the place to ourselfs until nine. PLEASE HELP!

A Taurus not knowing what to cook?!

Cancers actually love cooking themselves, most of them. Just as a guess, I'd say cook something traditional that will feel homey to him.

This is not a tragedy or a make or break thing.. the best conversations happen over burnt dishes......
This is an opportunity for positive stress and creativity!
Ask him what he likes, and then take it to the extreme, but don't put too much pressure on yourself. Know you can do it, then do it, graciously and with style.
Don't use too much garlic or onions, unless you're both eating it.
Check teeth after supper before you smile, especially is parsley or any other green herb is used in abundance.

oh god pixel!!!the garlic n teeth thing!!
well i think its beter to ask him, if not i think even the simplest dish will do if its made with lots of love. food tastes nicer when feelings are added to it, even plain food.so food aint such a major thing with cancers, its the 'feeling' ie the whole atmosphere surrounding him, it shud be a feeling like home.

Buy two silver candles for the table and inbetween them a vase of flowers.......or a crystal....

Create a relaxing and sensual atmosphere and he wont even notice the food....

Soft music, soft lights, velvet cushions, fur rugs, open fire.....

And wear something floaty and feminine and some nice smelling natural perfume...maybe sandalwood, ylang, patchouli...they are all aphrodisiacs...

Be alluring and sensual.....E A S Y....for a Taurus...

Have a wonderful evening....

wonderful advice ... AG said what i immediatgly thought after reading this.

Its a great idea #1 to inquire about foods he likes ... Cancer's can be known to have sensitive stomachs to certain foods .... (cancer moon here) so you dont want to over do it. Traditionally, they are the "comfort food" type of people. Simple ... although they are known to indulge in delicious flavors and dishes. Thats where knowing some foods he likes will give you a general idea of how not to "make him sick"

"homey" "traditional" and "comfort" are the key words to making a crab feel right at home.

I love Sue's advice ... such a sensual lady!!

Good luck and let us know how it turned out!

pssst! a general observation ... most crab i know LOVE fish, seafood etc. Of course you would want to make sure there's no allergies to shellfish before serving something like that.

Yeah, I agree with what the others have said about asking him what he likes.

But I guess, should it be that you don't want to or just want to surprise . . .

If you guys eat meat, steak never fails to impress. It's a classic with a bottle of red wine (if you guys drink alcohol). I have a personal preference for leaner reds, like Bordeaux. Full and rich flavor would be Cabernet, but sometimes I think it's overkill. Pinot Noir is spicy and flowery. Potatoes are a common side, though I've had gnocchi with a cream sauce and that was delicious too. Asparagus could be a natural side, rumored to be an aphrodiasic. Other sides could be french onion soup with toast and melted cheese on top, and fresh bread.

For dessert, I suggest chocolate, hands down! Anything chocolate. How about chocolate paint? It comes in a jar, complete with a "recipe" booklet and a paint brush.

Have fun

http://astronuts.tribe.net/thread/57ae951f-83f3-42e0-8927-c4c8f27799ac quote from there : 'To seduce a Cancer, meet him first where he is most comfortable in his home or yours. Cook him a meal he won't forget or order food and play a game of chess. Many of them are epicure so you may want to cook dessert and let him wow you for dinner which is something you should enjoy with awe.He wants excitement but on his own terms and not so much that he feels overwhelmed or boring. They seceretly fear they are boring. They have a decent amount of fears, particularly the ones who are smokers or nail bitters.'

Tauruses are known by having that special thing towards food,cooking,etc...but to make out your night you should take into account other tips, too!!

Me too 1Scorp.....!!!

And if someone provided the ambience of the type I described (and it was a man).....after fainting and picking myself up off the floor, I would jump on him and give him a night he wouldnt forget for a long long time.....

LOL....!!!

Wow thanks for the advice y'all. We had a fab time ummm after *wink* *wink*. I made a roman sald with a dressing I made myself. (balsmic vinager peanut oil and other stuff) Not to go to over board with the main course it was a simple chicken that was marinated in a greek sauce for a day. For dessart we made: Almost To Much Chocolate- Chocolate Cookies. My outfit was a simple white flowing top and black pants. Like I said very fun time! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

dear red head-
as a cancer i don't like to cook or eat (weird i know) but i would never say
no to chocolate or red wine. all cancer MEN i know love food (my bro and this guy i am interested in) they love GOOD wine. fuss over him a little, but keep in on his toes also-let him guess a little about how interested you truly are!
