Has anyone looked at the relationship between Neptune and lying. I was involved with a woman who had Venus, Moon, Neptune conjunct in Scorpio. I was constantly astonished at how easily she lied about who she was with, where she was, whether a trip was for business.

Even when confronted with evidence showing she lied, she continued to lie.

Luckily for me--Sun conjunct Pluto, Mars in Scorpio, I'm not easily fooled.

I wonder if house placement would determine the content of where a person might lie.

hayek,

Neptune is an energy which breaks down barriers. Wherever Neptune is in a chart is a place where the boundaries between "yours" and "mine" are dissolved. As a result, for the person with strong Neptune influences in their chart, telling what is "true" and "false" is challenging.

If I don't believe this but you do, does that make it false? If you believe this and I don't does that make it true? Sometimes Neptunians will give up on tring to label things as "true" or "false" and simply label things how they think other people want to hear it. So they will tell things which they think will make you or someone else happy or, at least, not likely to bother the Neptunian person any more!

While this is similar to "lying", usually with "lying" there is an attempt to deceive: the "truth" is understood and the person is lying so they can get the other person to believe something "false". With Neptunians, the "truth" is unclear and the "false" is equally unclear. So, when asked about a situation they do their best and say SOMETHING...hoping it will be OK for the situation.

Truthfully,

Tim

Hmmm....well, I have Venus and Neptune conjunct my Ascendant in Scorpio and it's exactly the opposite for me..... I can't lie to save my life. I am the worst liar I know, lol.

I am not good at psychically lying, but I am quite good at deceiving people in other ways if I so need to...

(Generally I avoid doing either but unfortunately circumstances sometimes force me into my sneaky mode)

Says this Pisces...!

I would say I have strong Neptune/Pisces influences in my chart [Sun, Moon, Mercury in 12th, Sun on the Aquarius/Pisces Cusp, Pisces Rising, Venus square Neptune, Neptune sextile Ascendant, among other aspects] and I'm always worried about lying because I don't tell the whole story. It's not that I deliberately lie, but I feel like if I don't include every single detail that it isn't completely true. I also sometimes feel bad when I tell people I'm a Pisces Sun, does anyone else think that's a lie? I say that because I'm on the cusp, have my Sun in the 12th and have so many other Neptune/Pisces influences, but since a lot of people don't know the details of Astrology, that's how I sort of simplify it. It that lying ? Or am I just rationalizing my reason for lying? [I always have conflicts like this with myself, even when it's only little things.]

Same here! I have the problem of not saying the whole story...always keeping something to myself.

Pisces rising
Neptune in 10th and squaring asc
Asc squaring uranus and chiron
Asc semisquare jupiter
Asc opposing sun and mercury

Neptune trining moon and mars

My Neptune is in the fourth house.

Which is pretty on key, because if I ever lie about something, it's usually about something that's going on at home.

How is home, Nove? Get that situation worked out?

(I have no idea if I'll remember to check back for your answer. Hope I do.)

I have Mercury (chart ruler)/Jupiter/MC in Pisces. Neptune conj Mars on DC. Neptune trine Venus, square Sun, quintile Mercury, sextile Jupiter/MC, same sign as Moon but not conjunct by deg. Jupiter (Pisces) square Chiron (12th). Most of this is going on in my 7th, 11th, 10th.

When you’re Neptune influenced, it’s very hard to tell where someone’s opinion of you ends, and the real you starts. I know the real me 100%, when I’m alone. When I’m around people, there are so many projected images onto me and sometimes very different images all in one day.. it’s a very strange experience. It’s hard to be yourself around someone who wants you to be something else, so strongly. I guess it comes from not wanting to bother or hurt ppl. You kinda just want to go with the flow of whatever they see. Sometimes I think ppl really want to see themselves in others, and Neptuinans can easily mirror a person. In fact, they don’t even try to. It’d be hard for them to *not* mirror. Comes naturally. Maybe it’s part of the fact that Neptune/Pisces is the last sign so it has parts of all the other signs. I guess there’s an understanding of everyone, and there are facets in their personality which relate with every person they meet.. In many ways they are that person, just as much as they are the next person.

One more thing.. sometimes Neptunians will *know* something and if the thing they know is likely to affect you or someone else, they might lie to make it sound *factual* or real..so that you believe it.

For instance, say a Neptune person had a dream your plane would crash and they know this is going to happen, but they also know you're a logical person who will never believe this.. They'll make up a completely different reason why you shouldn't get on the plane.

Haha, AG.

That situation's cleared up, and I'm on to the next. Which to be frank, I'd rather not talk about. My Saturday morning has just been so wonderful, and I'd rather not work myself into a depressive spell.

Pluto is working his magic while sitting on my IC. Whether for the best or the worst, I guess I'll figure out when he moves on.
