It's an MC thing, totally. My MC is Pisces, I love swimming. There are other sports I like, but swimming is the coolest thing in the world. Nothing relaxes me like swimming.

My bf has Mars on MC. He's sports obsessed, mainly bball because he's played that for years, but he generaly likes all sports and has played almost everything at some point.

The love of my life is an excellent sportsman! His placements are:
Sagi Sun
Leo Asc
Taurus Moon
Mercury Sagi
Venus Scorp
Mars Leo
Saturn Virgo
Jupiter Cancer
MC is Taurus

Plus he was born on the 24th!!
(Why the #24 IQH?)

All the Sagi Suns that I know are in love with outdoor sports!

`Who are you?' said the Caterpillar. This was not an encouraging opening for a conversation. Alice replied, rather shyly, `I--I hardly know, sir, just at present-- at least I know who I WAS when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then.'

How about Mars in the 10th or conjunct midheaven?

I've got it and read up some stuff on it online and found that it was supposed to be good for sports. I don't think I'm great or anything, though Im sure I have the potential.

That's interesting. I moonlight as a personal trainer/fitness instructor and love sports (I played soccer all my life and basketball throughout high school), I also have a lot of the positions that lqhunk describes.

Venus in Sag
Jupiter in Leo
Saturn in Virgo

I also have Mars conjunct the Sun in Aqua and a 1st house Pluto (imparts strength).

I'll have to check my achilles asteriod aspects and the 'strong' asteroid... any others that might be relevant?

EDIT:

interesting... "strong' is at 5 of leo... exactly in opposition to my Sun, opposed Mars at 4 Aqua and conjunct Jupiter at 3 Leo. Achilles is loosely conjunct to Pluto? Pluto is at 19 Libra and Achilles is at 26 Libra. Achilles is exactly Square my Mercury in Cap.

Hi Hexxie,
Good for you, you managed to get a real winner in life

24th in my research is the best day to be born. This date opens the Universe's Purse Strings like no other. Also luck in winning the hearts of absolutely gorgeous brainy blondes like you.

In sport, this date rules the freak throw that enables a Javelin thrower to win in his final attempt. This is the date that keeps the Bar in High Jump or Pole Vault intact even on touch so as to get the gold medal. The date that decides who wins the photo finish, who gets the lucrative contract even if runner up. And so on.
[It is also my favorite crib and grouse against the Universe for I missed being born on this date by 4 mnutes and ended up a Neptunian 25 dreamer living more in alternate realities... ]

Hi Warrior,
Sag would make a great sprinter with a clumsy technique. I would not recommend hurdles though
100,200, 400, Long Jump and Triple Jump would be great for Sagis.

To know the best placements for sprinters, we must analyze the charts of Carl Lewis, Jesse Owen, Gatlin, Donovon Bailey, Michael Johnson and Asafa Powell. It is one of my long term projects

In general, Aries Moon would be very useful for sprinters because they have to quickly respond to the starting gun and leap off the blocks. Mars in Sag or Aries house would also work wonders.

In theory I should be very good at sports too. But I lose interest too easily, unless its a team sport, competitive and requires strategy. I have Pallas Athena conjunct Midheaven. My Mercury, Mars and Sun also conjunct my Midheaven, while Jupiter opposes all this. But my Aquariusness makes me enjoy the cerebral more, and my Pisces moon makes we want to dream.

btw some of the greatest athletes have been aquarians...Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, Nolan Ryan just to name a few. Cant help it...Gotta big up my sign!

Hi WarriorPrincess,
I forgot about this string for awhile. Louis Van Zyl epitomizes the tenacity of a Cancerian. Also, Sun conjuncy Mars is a very useful aspect for sports, it is almost like a very powerful Mars in Leo.

I dont have Gatlin or Powell's chart yet, it is just a project for later. Like I want to compile charts of top 25 Athletes, 25 Scientists, 25 Inventors, 25 Leaders etc and search for patterns.

Jonty Rhodes is a phenomenon.
Reflexes are all about Spinal Cord Intelligence and Responses. Leo/Sun rules the Back and Spine. Mercury rules intelligence. Mars rules muscles.
So Sun conjunct Mercury or Mercury in Leo aspecting Mars in Aries/1st House or Mars in Gemini might point to super quick reflexes.

Additionally, Jonty also had epilepsy, a mercury affliction disease. Maybe his weakness as a disease was transmuted as a superb reflex in the positive.

I found Jonty's birthday. 26th July 1969.

Jonty has Sun conjunct Mercury in Leo.
Mercury precisely trines Mars in Sag.

ALmost all listed conditions for quick reflexes and athleticism are met. Logical Astrology rules
