love,Composite charts are created from midpoints in the two charts: take any one planet in both charts and find the midpoint. For example, if the Sun in one chart is 8 degrees Aries and the Sun in another chart is 8 degrees Gemini the midpoint between them is 8 degrees Gemini/Sagittarius. In composite charts we take the "near midpoint" (the midpoint closest to the two planets), in this case 8 degrees Gemini.
Davison charts use a midpoint in space and time. So find the birthday and birthplace of one person and find the birth day/time and birth place of another person and find the date and place between the two people. For example, if one person is born on June 2, 1974 and the other is born on June 4, 1974 the midpoint of the dates if June 3, 1974. The EXACT midpoint is the midpoint of the time between the two people. The other midpoint Davison charts use is a midpoint in space: the point on the map that is physically between the birth places of the two people.
