There are obscure and esoteric ways to find out when death is possible from a chart -- there was a thread on just this topic here about a month ago.

But I'm not going to look, just offer you my sympathies These natives are having their Chiron Return right now -- if they have filled their karmic bank account with positive experiences, they will breeze thru this period of life. If, on the other hand, they have squandered resources and time, it may be a very difficult stage. It sounds like your dad hasn't taken very good care of the temple of his soul..... but there's nothing you can do about that, besides you're thousands of miles away, yes??

What do you want to do about the situation??

I often think people who struggle with their parents,sometimes go on to be independant and strong individuals....and then maybe as they get older learn how to heal the rift.

Keep talking sd.....people here are very understanding....so keep on spilling yer beans.....

You said you thought you saw some of his "bad" traits in yourself. I can relate, my father was not a good father and he also drank a lot. Many aspects of our personalities are eerily similar (especially strange 'cause I did not live with him past age 7). This has frightened me but I realized it is like everything else: you can choose how to manifest the traits, in a positive way or a negative way.

In the meantime, like the others said, please stay here as you will probably learn a lot. Having strong feelings of dislike toward our parents is not so unusual, it is sad and it is difficult, and I don't think our society accepts it, but if you accept your feelings without judging yourself I think you can begin to heal.
