Hi All,

I'm brand new to this site, but really glad I found it! Nice to know there are plenty of fellow astro freaks out there! I mean that in a good way.

I have a question for all of my fellow pisces moon people. Do any of you out there get annoyed by your emotional, soft, non-confrontational side? Especially if you have a fairly strong/determined sun sign? I feel like I'm constantly at battle with myself! My Cap side wants to set goals and get things done, but it seems like the pisces lazy procrastination holds me back half the time. Does anyone else experience this?

CrankyCap

Sun 11 deg. Cap
Moon 10 deg. Pis
Rising 1 deg. Leo
Merc 21 deg. Sag
Venus 26 deg. Sco
Mars 16 deg. Cap
Jup 6 deg. Leo
Sat 13 deg. Virgo
Uran 19 deg. Sco
Nep 18 deg. Sag
Pluto 19 deg. Lib

PS: You have quite the locomotive chart-shape, with everything in the northern hemisphere!! Or is locomotive even the right name for this bunch?? Paging Tim!!

i ALSO find my Pisces side --lazy and unmotivated but; it also comes from having sun in CAncer. I guess having Cap and Pisces as your sun/ moon can be quite conflicting huh?

Zala,

I'd love to help, but I need to see a chart in order to interpret! However, I can tell you that the locomotive and the bundle chart are opposites. A bundle chart has all the planets focused IN the trine, while the locomotive has an EMPTY trine between two planets so all the planets are OUTSIDE the trine.

Trining,

Tim

Thanks Tim! I think I'm a bit clearer on the chart shapes now -- I got confused with the 1200/2400 thing at Nicholas Campion's page..... thinking now that the last zero in that number is the "degrees" symbol which didn't translate correctly

So would CC's chart then be a bucket since her Pisces Moon is in the other hemisphere from all the rest?? CC is your Moon in the 8th??

And have you checked your Sun/Moon combo at this link??

Zala,

I am a big fan of Tracy Marks' The Art of Astrological Chart Interpretation. Here's what she has to say about the bucket chart:

quote:
Bowl pattern - "All planets fall within 180 degrees (or a maximum of 190 degrees) and on one side of an opposition, and no more than 60 degrees or two houses of the occupied portion of the chart are empty..."

Bucket pattern - "...a bowl pattern with a handle...a planet or two closely conjunct planets at least 30 degrees from the planets within the bowl...channels...[their] energy through the handle of the bucket. The sign and house position of this singleton or focal planet usually indicates the kind of energy this person most frequently expresses and the area of life through which... [they] seek satisfaction."

If we look at this definition, since CC's planets are not on ONE side of the opposition , the chart is NOT a true bucket chart. However, that seems to be the closest chart pattern we can see in her chart, given the data provided. Looking at the chart this way, the Moon is very important, and Pisces (spiritual) energy channels the Moon (home, also emotional) energy into CC.

But even if we don't look at the chart as a bucket chart, the Moon (home, also emotions) is very clearly on its own in the chart, which makes the Moon very powerful. However, there are restrictions on the Moon, since the Moon is opposite (energy is over-excited by) Saturn (duty, also restriction). So there is a strong urge to be emotional which is restricted by dutiful Saturn. The result can be a strong emotion followed by a strong "pull back".

The challenge is to accept spiritual emotions as being an IMPORTANT part of the whole energy process...not simply being some emotional "over-reacting". In time the sensitive Moon could come to balance out the intensity of the other planets more concentrated energy (i.e., the "chain" of Leo-Virgo-Libra-Scorpio-Sagittarius-Cakpricorn.

Lunarily,

Tim

Hey, my Moon isn't in Pisces but it is in the 12th House, and I have plenty of other Neptune/Pisces influences in my chart. But put them all together and I find myself unmotivated until I'm inspired. It can get pretty bad honestly...
As for procrastinating, heheh, I'm working really hard to fix that too. And I'm pretty bad about avoiding confrontation... Just the other day at the dinner table, in fact, my dad was arguing with my sister, and I just wanted to leave or ask them if it could wait until we were done eating.... or at least I was.
But being over-emotional, I try to look at that in the best possible light. While it can be annoying, especially when people keep complaining about how over-sensitive I am, it definitely has plenty of positive sides! Or at least I like to think so. For example... I was watching a documentary on Titantic in which a group of researchers went down to the shipwreck to get evidence for how it actually broke, and when they showed the debree [there was a shoe buried in the sand, and like a wine bottle or something, and personal items like that] I began to cry! I don't know if that's sympathy or empathy or what it is, but that's something that someone will need at some point in there lives, and I know and they'll know I can offer it when they do. So I can actually help someone out by being over-sensitive and empathetic! So there's my view on it.

Welcome CrankyCap,

I too have the fish flowing ever so gently down the stream; when, I have fought to get my "stronger signs" to buck up. Onward & upward, or should I say upstream. Welcome to " Mutual of Omahas' Wild Kingdom"!

That's how it feels sometimes. When a scorpion & a fish fight, Linda said (paraphrased) That slippery fish would win just about every time.

Hey CrankyCap, thats a good adjective for a capricorn .

Well I so can empathize with you, even I've Cap sun and Moon in Pisces, and sometimes my feelings just overwhelm me and stop me from doing work, so its like I procrastinate and procrastinate and procrastinate. Laziness does creep up loads. You know what else is annoying about having a cap sun and pisces moon? Public displays of affection. You want to cry, cap sun would go 'but that doesn't look good in public, and control your emotions for heavens sake, how would you cope if you had a bigger problem coming up?'.. and I can't be my true self.
But sometimes its really cool to have a Cap sun and Pisces Moon. You see they sextile, and kind of compliment each other. My Cap sun will have an ambition, but my Pisces moon will make me a bit humanitarian and make me a bit creative and less ruthless and sometimes when you're pitying yourself, and you know just blaming everyone around you or being in your own world Saturn can be great help, it can bring you back to reality and it gives you self-control.

Wow you've got such a diverse chart, I'm kinda jealous. You've Mars in Cap, and seriously, if you just use that Cap determination of yours for anything you want to achieve, your gonna be amazing.

Welcome, btw!

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the advice. The bundle/bucket configuration is something I've never read about before, but it really puts things into perspective. Does anyone have any more info on that?

Having the pisces moon is definitely not all bad, I just find it so difficult sometimes to get all the different aspects of my personality on the same page to get the job done!

You're so right cappyme! I've always HATED crying in front of anyone and I'll usually leave the room to do it...but those tears sure well up fast thanks to pisces!
