Well I got introduced to this strange world of astrology through Linda Goodman's book. And was it a mighty blow to my skepticism based on newspaper horoscopes! I had a libran friend and what she said about libran women just matched her head to toe(with hot pink toenails!) Well as i went deeper and more curious into this spiritual science, I understood that a natal chart is very important. I procured by natal chart from my birthdate, name and location and accurate time. I have NO clue what planet stands for what or how I am supposed to read it. There seem to be people here who are smart and lovely enough to explain to me, what my planets stand for and what each planet position indicates about me. Here is my chart! SUN 0 LEO 40'49" Moon 1 LEO 42'21" Mercury 12 LEO 54'50"r Venus 21 CAN 47'30" Mars 19 GEM 37'6" Jupiter 15 LEO 37'29" Saturn 11 VIRGO 30'31" Uranus 16 SCORPIO 55'20"r Neptune 18 SAGGITARIUS 4'41"r Pluto 16 LIBRA 37'37" True Node(?) 8 VIRGO 52'58" Chiron 13 TAURUS 37'25" Then there is something called : RC: 16 virgo 25' 2: 17 libra 23' 3: 18 scorpio 16' MC: 17 gemini 46' 11: 16 Cancer 29' 12: 15 Leo 53' IP: Logged |

Hi starbreaker ~You can do all this esoteric interpreting for yourself Here's how: Please go to www.astro.com. Right under the “Astrodienst Astro.com” in the blue title bar is a section called "Free Horoscopes", click on that. Under "Please select your free horoscope" choose the section headed in gray called "Horoscope Chart Drawings" and pick "Extended Chart Selection". Click on "Add a New Person" and set yourself up. Then under "please select the type of chart you want" drop-down box, choose "natal chart wheel" and click on the "click here to show the chart" button. Once you've run that you'll have all your planetary positions (and a nice picture!). At the "Horoscope Home" page, you can now click on "Portrait" under “Astrodienst Free Horoscopes" in red. Then comes the reading!! Happy Trails ~ Zala PS: btw, I suspect that "RC" position you listed at 16 Virgo is your "ASC" or Ascendent, or Rising Sign -- the sign at the 9 o'clock position of the chartwheel..... IP: Logged |

Hi Starbreaker,I took wilsontc's lessons, & it's broken down & pretty easy to understand. It is a challenge to learn to read charts. my progress is coming along, slowly, but coming along. I found so many fascinating things here that I spread my time out more, but I'll get there. So will you. Welcome aboard! IP: Logged |

HIIII pixelpixie, Kim Rogers, WaterNymph!! *big hug to all! Well I read a lot about myself thanks to the links above. Wilson's tutorial was very hepful indeed.(thank you) However I still want to understand if there IS a sextile or a node, why it is written the way it is , for example why when mars is opposed by neptune, is actually an opposition and what are the intrinsic qualities of these planets that they either complement or block each other out. ( WOW im talking like a pro now! ) I just got information from astro.com and I'll write in next post abt what i interpreted from astro.com. Otherwise please help me with any extra links! Thank you!! Born 24th July 1979 around 9:35 AM?Some notable points: Sun conj Moon i.e Parents were deeply in love during your birth. Almost no planet to the right half of the chart. Pluto in second house Libra, possible tendency to spend a lot of other people's money for self Saturn in 12 house Virgo conj Ascendant: Excellent self restraint and very good intelligence. Jupiter sq Uranus in 3rd House Scorpio. Not much luck in effectively communicating about sex/transformation/occult. Jupiter Uranus Chiron T-Square. Sudden twists in life that caused inner wounds? Saturn trine Chiron: Discipline helps heal the wounds. Ascendant T square Mars opposed Neptune: A Red Alert for health problems, addictions/obsessive compulsive disorders. Gemini Mars being so affected means chances of some reading/communication problems early on are higher. Pluses of this placement include tremendous potential and energy for mastery of spiritual subjects. Venus sq Pluto and trine Uranus: A beauty with an element of suprise. Major Transit: Uranus opposing Part of Fortune, Ascendant and Saturn. Best parts of Chart: 1. Sun conjunct Moon 2. A birthdate of 24 that promises lots of good luck. 3. Pluto sextile Jupiter Most Challenging Parts: 1. Mercury retrograde squared by both Chiron and Uranus retrograde. 2. Asteroid SWINDLE conjuncts Ascendant + Part of Fortune and Saturn in 12th House, and is affected by the Neptune-Mars T-Square energy on the Ascendant. Need to steer clear of get rich quick schemes, MLM/pyramid schemes, false occult gurus and drugs/alcohol.

^^^^ WHOA! YIpes! ^^^ How'd you figure out my time dob etc.. lol! I don't seem like the only master around here.. (just kidding) HOWEVER.. I was born at 9:24 AM and not 9:35. So wouldnt that make a difference in the chart too? The chart i typed above, was from 9:24 am timing @ astro.com. My gemini mars is opposed by neptune but i Didn't have much communcation reading problems, in fact i love to read. However PLease tell me.. what does the fact that i have NO PLANET on the right half of the chart say?? From Wilson's tutorial, it seemed it said that i'D be internally driven 100% and external factors wouldn't concern me nor would it need it's help.. What does it REALLY mean? But hey some interepretations are v true man! sudden twists in life that causes inner wounds? OH YES! Thanks for these hidden interpretations! Btw AZA, am a guy , thank you for the links! I was off by 10 minutes because your birthplace was not Mumbai. One can determine the birth year using Pluto, the birth month and day using th Sun, birth time approximation using the Moon. Location using Ascendant. What does Wilson's website really tell when you have no planets to the right? According to me, it means your natural focus is only on what you think, what you learn and what your feelings are. The challenge is to learn to put yourself in other's shoes. What do they think? How do they think? How do they feel? And so on. IP: Logged |

Iqhunk,Thanks for correcting that interpretation. As you say, more planets on left of chart = focused on self. More planets on right of chart = focused on others. For inner/outer: More planets at bottom of chart = more focused on inner world. More planets on top of chart = more focused on outer world. This is not to be confused with "introversion" or "extroversion", since these are psychological terms that don't directly translate over into astrology.
