With my limited knowledge of Astrology, what i've picked up here, and various other web sites. I've know that this conjunction happens roughly every 20 years, for a short amount of time. 3 months? Anyway i have both Conjuncted, In second house Libra. Exact degree is Jupiter 9.21'49, Saturn 9.26'20. Mostly Im curious as to what kind of effect this generally has on the personality. And if distance from one another is relevant? (I.E Have stronger affects due to postiting.) Any feedback or even just opinions are appreciated.

Donald,

Jupiter is about expansion, while Saturn is about contraction. When these two get together (i.e., in conjunction) there can be an expansive-contraction going on where the person feels "on top of the world" (Jupiter) one moment only to be followed almost immediately by feeling guilty about feeling so good (Saturn). The challenge is to use Saturn's energy to STRUCTURE Jupiter energy, so the person feels a structured, down to earth (Saturn) uplift (Jupiter) in their lives. This combination, when achieve can help the person to structure a way (Staurn) to do what ever it is they want to do (Jupiter)!

Expansively contractive,

Tim

An issue that i continually face, that i'd relate to this conjunction is that i'll work overtime say, 20+ hours more some weeks, get that nice paycheck (after the tax man robs me) pay the bills, then blow it on crap. Just stuff i could live without. I'll say to myself, ahh, its just money, that's what i worked so hard for so that i could spend it on whatever the heck i feel like spending it on. Then maybe even less than an hour later sometimes, i start to kick myself in the a** for it. I feel so guilty because i complain that i don't have anything saved, or that i need to make more money just in case i need it someday. It's frustrating.

My ex-husband has this conjunction at 7 degrees of Libra no less (AKA sitting exactly on my ascendant! DOH! )... he was an impossible contradiction of being extremely austere and old mannish and almost disciplinary towards me... or being completely childlike, hysterical and irreverant towards everything. He had a sense of humour that could not be subdued when roused. and it was pretty crude and low brow at times.

He also had Capricorn rising, which increased his responsible, diligent, hardworking side. And he was irrepressably talkative and charming. He had Venus, the Sun and Mercury in his 1st house.

But I always felt like that Saturn/Jupiter conjunction explained that Jekyll/Hyde or the Joker/Old Man personality split of his. It probably was more pronounced in its effect on me and my perspective since it sat right on my ascendant.

Hope that helps in some way.

Oh yeah... his conjunction was in the 8th house.

PansPride -

I too have a Natal Jup/Sat Conjunction, and in Capricorn. I agree with everything said so far about what this feels like.

Some mentioned challenging or light Aspects to their Conj, which could effect it further - my Saturn is Opp my Moon, which is part of my T-Square.
