After reading Emma Belle Donath's asteroid books and Demetra George's book, Asteroid Godesses, I think that the 4 main ones (Ceres, Vesta, Juno, and Pallas) certainly do play a role in one's chart, especially in synastry.Ceres = Nuturing Vesta = Vows Juno = Marriage contract Pallas = Intuition and pattern perception http://groups.msn.com/HOROSCOPESCHAT/asteroids2.msnw NOTES ON THE FIVE MAJOR ASTEROIDS by Carol Willis, MA http://www.astrologynow.com/carolwillis/Asteroids.txt The Asteroid Goddess Gospel: Illuminating the Feminine Principle in the Chart by Cathy H. I think they play roles of varying importance from one chart to the next. Not all of the hundreds of asteroids are of critical meaning in every chart. However, when highly aspected, or placed smack-dab on one of the angles, they become more important. They may speak of specific life callings, or specific life challenges when great emphisis is placed on them. That's not the case in most charts, IMO. IP: Logged |
