This might have been discussed earlier also, however wanted some more insight from fellow Pisceans.
I find myself all the time trying to understand things that I want all the facts to be known. Its like surgery of thought process, evaluating various alternatives/thought links to know/understand and come to some conclusion of the matter. It even means going over the same thing over and over.

Is this why others think Pisceans get LOST in their world?
If I am thinking of something then I don’t like to be disturbed by anyone (and get irritated if it is someone close like a family member). I sometimes even avoid getting into conversation with a known person, if he is around, as I want to stick to what I was doing – thinking. (I think it would not be same with someone real close though so lets leave your partners/girlfriends )
Many have said that Pisces need to be alone to recuperate from all the absorbed negativity/woes and stuff. However is that the case always or majority of the time or is it something like above.

Any thoughts …

Yeah...definitely. As a pisces asc...I like to be left alone hours at a time just letting my thoughts run through. But I can't say to my parents, leave me alone, cuz that's rude...so I tend to push my thoughts back in my mind until I have the opportunity to let them run loose in my head (which is pretty rare)...

Oh well...

Hmmmm, very thought provoking. I am definately not a "mental" person, that is I do not live in my head and do not have to understand. I have often said that my approach to life is very relative, it is because it is.

I have been called naieve, a time or two, but I operate on a different level than most. I feel. I intuite. I do not overthink. Far from it, maybe even underthink at times.

I do get lost in my world, but that is because it is MY world and it is a welcome escape from everybody else's world!

And yes, I need horrible amounts of time alone to rejuvinate, rest, replenish, RELEASE all of the stuff that I have accumulated "out there." And I guarantee you water always has something to do with this healing process!

I am an ICU RN and even in my practice I "nurse" from an intuitive level. I do not get caught up in the numbers, objective data of a patient, I feel what is going on and act/react on intuition.

So, in answer to your query, this Pisces does not like to think! I am way too stuck in feeling and this is kind of suprizing to me since I have a HUGE Aqua influence!

I need alot of down time for myself. I do this to not only rejuevenate but to not spread any negative energy to others. Dont want to hurt them or make them think bad of me-

People and friends ask me out for a drink or what not alot at times, I might say yes to them but more then half the time I never show up. Hey, where were you? I was tired...

Its just me at times... If I dont feel up to it I dont want to half it.... Oh well-

I live by myself and like that very much. Ive been on my own since divorced in 00.

But being alone for me is definately comfortable, mind clearing, regaining confidence, just peaceful. Dont get me wrong, I do like to go out, just not alot.

Hey,
I can relate a lot with the needing alone time to release a lot that is going inside me. I think sometimes pisces can be an emotional sponge and we can get so intense sometimes it has to be let out, and only when alone because it can sometimes be an agonising process. I think it's alot of both mental and emotion for me, but I agree with hippichick that it's probably leaning more towards the emotional side. When I was younger and lived near a beach there was this tree I used to go to constantly just to watch the waves and think. I could be there sometimes for hours on end and just get lost in the thoughts and feelings and time would go by without me realising. It sounds odd but I often feel safer alone then with others.

I understand; I'm exactly the same way!
I am normally outgoing and at work focused (normally) but I need time also to be by myself and just think. If I'm turning something over in my mind and someone wants to interrupt me, I can feel frustrated. Having that time each day, even if it's only for a little while allows me to function better the rest of the time.
I don't have any Pisces except Chiron, however........but I do have Neptune exactly conjunct my Ascendant, so maybe it is a Pisces/Neptune thing.

I definately have to have my quiet time. As many of you have said, it is a time of rejuvenation and soul cleansing. It is nice to be lost and connected with your own thoughts, and a place of solitude is the only manner in which this connection occurs for me. If I am in tune with my thoughts, then I am in tune with my emotions and that is crucial for me. It is not that I don't enjoy being social or interacting with others. I enjoy that very much. But there are times when I begin to feel overloaded and superexcited by my environment and people around me that I have to retreat. Most of the time my retreat comes in the form of locking myself in the bathroom for 2 hours to soak in the tub. What better way to recharge than to surround myself with water? It works. I completely understand the need to disappear on occasions.

Sun Pisces/Moon Gemini/Scorpio and Uranus Rising

I agree with the typical piscean trait of needing time alone to think, to feel, to reflect, and yes, to gather energies.

I sometimes wonder how will I manage to do it once I have my own family...guess I need to refine my solitude mode...

Got a mixed nature because of my sun/moonsquare...want to spend some time alone but love meeting new people and learning all day long from anything in life, so I balance my loner/ppl-oriented mix...

I am quite mental, have lots of gemini and aquarius in my chart, plus my aqua mercury trines uranus, so I even have insomnia from thinking too much...I sometimes take too long to act on plans because I think too much and too long...3rd house Capricorn contributes to that too

to say I'm lost in my thoughts sometimes...yes, its true, and I usually dont want to break those moments, so in the last years I've learnt to go into "missing in combat" mode: I disconnect the phone, I say I have plans (with myself, so no lies there), I tell beloved ones I need some space...

and when I leave my retreat to interact with my environment I have to make a conscious transfer to social/attuned mode, if not I come across very strange to ppl, the things I say are mixed, confusing...

"Many have said that Pisces need to be alone to recuperate from all the absorbed negativity/woes and stuff. However is that the case always or majority of the time or is it something like above"

Villy, in my case, I do have to recuperate from energies because I feel overwhelmed from dealing too much emotionally, mentally...I suspect my scorpio rising and moon in 8th give me extra spongeness and I end up sensing hidden agendas, ppls feelings, their body language (so revealing), their tones...so retreating to think and clear my ideas is a must-must for me if not I get ill. What they say about being pisces being psychic sponges does apply to me.

I'm learning to deal more with my issues instead of dealing with others' all the time (years ago I would totally neglect my needs, dont recommend it to anybody).

Fortunately, astrology serves as another tool to understand more one's make-up and gives ideas on how to deal/work the energies.

I have ascendant & venus in Pisces.
I'm half dream-like and half down-to-earth. I've had people tell me that I'm always on a cloud & I've had people tell me I'm really cool and...down-to-earth, lol.
I don't mind being alone. I am a very deep thinker & I don't like people pestering me
I do have a soft piscean voice on the phone. This aries guy I used to talk to once told me I had a voice like milk chocolate. Whatever the h*ll that's supposed to mean but it sounded like a good thing. Then my Libra girl friend always tells me that she wishes she had my voice because it's so lingering...yeah, same word and everything.
Plus I have Sun in 12 so I'm very piscean & always on cloud nine.

For me, I basically live in my world. Unless I have to go out in the real world for work or to run errands or whatever the case may be, I'll be found in my room, isolated from everyone, daydreaming, pondering and usually resting. The world drains my energy extremely quickly, and I have a very talkative sister [Aries Sun, Aquarius Ascendant] and I can only be around her for a half an hour at longest because it's exhausting for me to interact with others. There are constant interruptions while I'm in my own little world, if my mom comes in to tell me something or my sister wants to tell me something, things like that. I'm too nice to snap at anybody for interrupting my thoughts, and I feel I owe it to them to give them some of my time because I spend so much of it alone. I attribute that to my Sun, Moon and Mercury being in the 12th House, but I thought I'd throw it in there since the 12th House is Piscean territory.
I've been called naive as well, many many times, might I add. I think it's because I lack experience in the real world, but I also think the best of everyone. I don't want to think that this really nice person that I just met has a mean streak in him/her [if that makes sense]. Basically, everyone is a good person until they prove me otherwise, and that can be difficult to do because I don't spend a lot of time around others. Hope that's been even a little helpful.

Thanks all of you, pretty much insightful

Probably now I understand more of this emotional sponge thing .. I guess it is not only absorbing emotions of others however the one’s that come to us due to our own Piscean sensitive nature. Many times I just pick up hurt feelings by others words (as if these words broke my heart like someone leaving me). And sometimes its just feeling down … maybe being alone or missing someone or some place.

Cosmic1970
Both of us have Piscs Sun, Sagi Asc, Aries Moon … and its quiet common for me to keep away from people lot of times, thinking that they don’t like my companionship/me. However I mostly can’t say No when someone asks out. Even if I have some stuff at hand, I drop it and find time for others. And yes, being alone is quiet comfortable. I can spend time idle in my world without getting bored.
And being alone is for long time is like without those analytical thoughts nor squeezing emotions out of the sponge. Its more of just being out there .. in nature .. its like a feeling of oneness with the surroundings. And we can go on this way for hours … sigh … then the trance is broken when a thought comes making me realize that there is no one to share our own inner thoughts and state, which I would like to do with someone special.

Wow Lousianagirl, that must be quiet sweet to hear… your milk chocolate voice

Hi villy and my fellow Fish, and those who fall under the Neptunian influence. I have a sun/merc/venus placement which makes for some interesting times.
Amazingly enough I do a maintenance job which requires me to be on my toes, especially when working around high voltage or moving parts. That's where my Virgo rising and Cappy moon are probably my saving graces. (Only one accident in 2 years!)
Being a bit of a loner, I enjoy it sometimes, but I'll feel the need for mingling with people. Music, literature, and spirituality are like holy subjects to me. Finding someone that understands what angle I'm coming from talking about these subjects is very difficult. Most of the time I get the feel they're thinking, "he's an odd one." Yes, I am. Gives me a feeling of rejection, which is hard, but then I'll come across someone whom I'll get a very peaceful, relaxed feeling. They are like bright beacons to me.
So, I'll end the post here, before I write a slew of words that will become so heavy they'll make your monitor break your desk in two.

wow....that sounds exactly like me! I have venus and mars in Pisces and while I do love people and have plenty of friends, I also feel that I need my space. I can spend hours just getting lost in my thoughts, and I won't want anyone to disturb me while I am doing so. I also get addicted to things very easily....could that be from my Pisces energy as well?

Hey WW78,

Nice to have your thoughts (without making us break our monitors ).
Not sure if Pisces going into their world have caused major accidents, as I find myself giving proper concentration so that I do the things the right way (though I don¡¦t work in maintenance kind of jobs having major impact). Minor mishaps do occur (however think they are not so frequent). Yeah sometimes while working I do realize my thought process is drifting, however being not so hazardous work (voltage and stuff), I might be bit relaxed ƒº Hope you keep finding your beacons and light house.

Daydream32,
Not sure if getting addiction is easier/common for Pisces. However, I feel coming out of addiction/giving up certain things, might be much easier for Pisces due to the inner strength.

Hi villy! That one accident wasn't really my fault, though I could have easily lost a fingertip in the process. Basically it was an electrical caddy used for moving heavy conveyor lines. I was removing a wheel to check the electrical motor when the jack shifted, pinning my index finger between the fender and wheel. About 500 pounds worth. I was pinned! Had to call on the radio for a co-worker to get the jack back under to free my finger! Went to an emergency room, certain my fingerjoint was crushed...however x-rays showed nothing, and no damage done whatsoever. LUCKY!
