...people don't state the subject of their post in the subject line, and you're dragged in only to find the thread isn't of any importance to you? This isn't aimed at anyone in particular, so please don't take it that way. It's just a peeve of mine I decided to indulge in talking about. IP: Logged |

I don't. I like innovative subject lines.. or subject lines that don't make sense. Plus when I come on, I'm not exactly busy so I don't find anything to be wasting my time..But that's just me IP: Logged |

well, thats sure to discourage someone from posting. it seems to me that no one answers you anyway if your subject line isn't "cool" or "outstanding". its like no one cares regardless so why not? or why post at all?IP: Logged |

I agree with AG, trying to put some thought in your subject line is surely worth the effort. Not only out of consideration for people who are not interested but also because people who would be interested might never even check it out.As for no one responding. Once again, nothing personal, but there are so many posts with detailed charts accompanied by long stories and personal questions. While people here are incredibly kind and helpful, everyone needs to understand, between reading long post, looking at the chart, trying to figure out the situation and writing an answer - it requires A LOT of time. As for the subject, yes I hate that too. But I bare no grudges IP: Logged |

My 2 cents worth sez this merc in taurus.....You can let your peeves control you or find a better way to manage it. How it is now you are pulling your own strings. Everything can be useful information wise believe it or not, but if you find things are a waste of time do a black and white selection while reading posts. Dr Wayne Dyer has an excellent book called Pulling your own strings - a greatly recoomended read. If YOU KNOW this is your pet peeve..why even bother with the thread to begin with? So nevermind setting yourself up with disappointment. Just move on by cause I certainly don't demand everybody reads my posts/new topics. I don't take things seriously and they can print it out and use it for TP. I put my 2 cents out, if I inspire another so be it, if I don't so be it too. People post many things in different ways and I think, who I am to be JUDGEMENTAL about others. Who am I to censor what another does when it's really not a problem. Why even bother getting nitpicky over small petty things you can't control? Am I the one running the messageboard? Nope. Why have an ego based reaction instead of accessing your higher self and moving on? Ultimatly it is your choice on whether to read a post or not and it's not soembody forcing you to click. I know this is quite blunt and matter of fact, I wanted to be honest and to the point about matters. This is just another perspective on this - do with the info what you want - I don't care really. I see things on here that don't interest me but I just see it and move on. Why bother drawing attention to stuff like this? We all have the option to agree to disagree - which the the way to go most of the time. It shows more tolerance and respect for another. I could choose to whine about stuff and try and censor and judge everybody, indirectly telling another what to do, trying to control another - when one doesn't have control over another person. A person can choose to feel a certain way and be diercted by negative thoughts etc or they can not take things seriously, make a choice and go with the flow. some food for thought.......as raw as it is.... Live is too short to make issues or let small things bother you. Will this thing be as highly important next week as it seems today? Nope. Dealing with health issues and childcare issues reign over the small stuff..... This way you have more control over what you do while on the messageboards. Not everybody can please everybody. It's impossible to do. We all have our ideals with posts etc, but the reality of it is another thing different. IP: Logged |

Well, if I have ever seen the mointain made out of the mole hill - this is it...LOL. Of course, this whole thing is no big deal and no one trying to control or please everybody else. Personally, I am just trying to get across a very simple point - consideration and common senseIP: Logged |

Not everybody is thoughtful, considerate or has common sense. I know somebody who questions what common sense. Yes, it would be ideal that everbody act proper and is polite etc....but that ain't gonna happen any time soon. Some of that stuff you can't get out of some people. You're gonna end up with conflicts etc. Society can be a mix of immature people and mature people, sane people and insane people. There are always opposites. Way life goes....Everybody has choices though - choices on how to live their live, one what they choose to listen to, on who they choose to associate with etc...Sometimes I see others giving away their one energy and making the other person appear big, when they are not. We were given free-will. I'm a firm believer in personal responsiblity - I hold myself responsible with how I feel and how things go in my life. I choose what job I want to work, where I want to live, what hobbies I have, what I listen to, what I read about etc.... This is all good - not meant to bring down but to give a thought to one's own empowerment and sense of control and self mastery. It can be all in how one thinks and percieves thing. You hold your own power in your own hands. Sometimes things are not in one's control and yes it can bring up negative feelings - like being cheated on, lied to, raped etc (The list goes on). With some, one can learn prevention so that stuff doesn't happen again. Other things you may have to take a proactive approach. At times some things can't be done, like being stalked by a stalker and fearing for your life. That can hamper one's sense of freedom. This is a different story though - I'm trying to hit upon what you CAN control. All I'm saying in general - the choices are in your hands and you have the final say. That way you can work with your standards you set for yourself and play life by your own rules and not kiss another's butt etc..... so now go use this as BS or TP if ya want.......I don't care really........this could be food for thought or I have some of the knowflakes rolling in the aisles with laughter cause it seems like such a big fat joke. Anyhow - not my perception. I guess it's a good thing I inspired laughter and maybe comedian could be a good fit...... Note - A Merc in Taurus doesn't say much, however, will speak up if something needs to be expressed. Of course with a Gemini influence things can get very wordy. IP: Logged |

Yeah sometimes. I think “oh my chart’s like that” and it turns out to be about composite charts or synastry…I’m not really interested in that right now. So I guess it would be nice if they say composite or synastry in their string title.IP: Logged |

Inner Depths,Just so you know, I've been here for over a year now and this is the first time I've said anything about people doing this, which means it's not really so huge a peeve that I can't deal with it. However, when people write these mystery subjects I myself have to satisfy my curiosity over and over again simply because I forget what the topic was about. That wouldn't be the case if people just stated their topic. I like to look into threads that deal with topics that interest me. When the subject is stated it's easy to filter. When it's not stated I have to check. Gemini rising is very curious. If no one changes because this thread, so be it, but if someone reconsiders what they do, then I'm happy. That's really my only point in making this thread. IP: Logged |

Well, my thing is like... It seemed to me that I used to make all my thread titles as specific as possible but not so specific that no one would care cuz they wouldn't really have anything to do with it... (Ex. Moon conj.MC in 10th house Leo ...I wouldnt use that)
but it seemed like no one would answer ME or look at MINE and everyone would look at creative titles or things that were more "catchy" so then I got more general and more creative (still no dice really) so now i just basically state what I ask/think/ etc. simply and just hope for the best.
