Like the subject states, this is a thread for those people in the world who have no clue what they are going to do in their life. Talk about past jobs, college, future plans and desires and anything else job/career related.

I am in college and I am a sociology major but may get a job outside my major. I might minor in english with an emphasis on writing as well. I choose sociology because it was pretty interesting and I was undeclared and needed a major.

My most enjoyable job (and easiest too) was a daycare job. The pay wasn't comparable to my summer job, which I sort of dread, but I am going back to it for a 4th summer in a row for 10.50 an hour.

I am afraid that none of my jobs help in my advancement in my career. I am 21 and do not have many skills to show for my many jobs. In highschool I worked at a gas station and pharmacy...Than the summer before college I did beach donuts, a homemade doughnut recipe place. that has been three summers. I did some campus BS jobs for less than a semester each, like a fast food type place and telemarketer. than daycare for a semester, than a butcher shop cashier..for three weeks before my boss unexpectingly told me they were closing down. I feel like I have not learned many skills from these jobs and none of them will help me in my advancement. They were all pretty damn easy. I got very scared the other day when thinking of my lack of experience.

Maybe something in my chart points towards a certian career path or what kind of worker I am. Because my current experience is not cutting it. But I am unsure of how to correct it. sometimes I am to shy to work my way up to leadership roles. even in daycare, I was the shy teachers aid, the kids loved me, but I was more of a friend to the kids than an authorative figure. they didn't take advantage of it to much though. It was more of a middle ground where I had no authority and wasn't taken advantage of. I was just there..to play with them. In other jobs I am to shy and am just..a worker..that does not cut it..The greasy wheel gets the attention and I need to speak out and be more vocal, I know! With the doughnut thing for example..my first summer there all I did was sugar the doughnuts and put them on trays! for three months! the next summer I gradually forced myself into other roles and was able to learn how to do everything in the process of making the doughnuts...but that was not at my bosses doing..he was lazy training people but a HARD worker otherwise..it was a co worker who told me how to do everything! But my boss loved the job I did once I took it upon myself to do the different steps on various nights.

Anyways, I must ask again..what parts of my chart point towards work and career and type of worker I am? I know I don't want to have something typical or have a control freak boss..most of them have been great so far...But if I do this produce thing, that boss sounds like a control freak straight foward workaholic..more so than I would ever want to be. treehouse toys sounds fun but the girl there was just reading..which means things get slow and take forever. I hate sitting around and want to be doing things to make time pass.

once again, the chart. some of you have seen this a lot I know.

I know I love to write, I love to gossip, be the center of attention, and to persuade people...so it works for me

haha what school do you go to? I have heard of 2 or 3 times..maybe 4..but wow 11!!

I though 10th house (capricorn) was grounded and more stable. oh well

and I really do think most people would admit if they didn't know what they were doing, even just to recieve encourgament. Its not that big of a deal or embaressement.

Sorry dear, it's just that your post is so long, I can't figure out what you're asking, or telling.

If you question is about what sort of job you're supposed to have, check your sixth house.

10th house represents career (and cap) and I guess with the capricorn influences it can be more grounded but remember I have the MOON there....constantly fluctuation.

I go to UCONN

Helllll yeah! I have the same thing going on..
quote:
though 10th house (Capricorn) was grounded and more stable

It's because the moody/changeable moon is in the house of careers, which would make one prone to frequent changes in career aspirations.

Carl- (btw.. do you like Relics? I'm just getting into it- it's amazing! If we're talking about the same Floyd that is...are we?)
Looking at your chart- you have an interesting (conflicting?) combination of focal points. For example, you have a very obvious Eastern hemisphere emphasis (most of your planets are on the left side of the chart) and they are predominantly in the fourth quadrant (upper left side); then there is also that singleton moon of yours, all the way on the other side, adding another kind of emphasis to the Western hemisphere, and the second quadrant. This means- internal conflict! You are at once both assertive/independent/in control of your life and passive/in the hands of fate.
This is also indicated by your prominent Mars (conjunct AC!) squaring your lonely moon. The 2nd and 4th quadrants have to do with personal expression, and social expression, respectively.
This could also explain why you are "shy" in the workplace, and at the same time feel a need for advancement and a pressure to achieve something important, gain "real" experience, and so on. Some of your feelings of not knowing what you're doing with your life could stem from that 12th house Jupiter and Neptune. The Jupiter placement could also indicate why you don't see everything you've accomplished and learned- the 12th house blocking your feelings of success and happiness. Saturn in the 10th also indicates a concern with success and "climbing the ladder", but also much frustration associated with this struggle. All in all, your chart is full of reasons why you feel the way you do.
As to what directions might be good for you- I have a feeling that it has more to do with your mindset about this question than it does with you finding the right path. It's because so much of your chart indicates that you put a lot of unnecessary pressure on yourself to get to a certain destination, reach a certain level of prestige and achievement as quickly as possible.
I’m not putting down ambition- it is an important and useful trait, but not when it becomes a stressor, something that makes you worry so much at a time in your life when you should be exploring all the possible directions, and feeling that joyous, youthful freedom—while you can still try many things without the pressures of mortgages and children and spouses (“But oh, that magic feeling, nowhere to go”.. this has been my theme song lately.. “You Never Give Me Your Money” by The Beatles).
But, back to your chart…
The 10th house Saturn and Sun combo (conjunct MC) indicate that you are likely to achieve a high degree of success in your career, though not without a significant amount of hard work and struggle. The 9th house Pluto also points to Higher Education as an important aspect of your life—have you thought about the academic world at all, beyond your degree? Adding the 10th house Mercury to all this, I definitely see your chart as that of a potential scholar. Has this kind of thing ever crossed your mind?

Great. Just great. With a subject like that, we're going to have every Knowflake from the last four years posting in here. Well, it might be interesting... we'll find out what the post-count limit is on LL's server!

And thank you for posting your entire chart unasked, carlfloydfan. You've just joined the proud ranks of inconsiderate millions who don't stop to think about the enormity of what they so selfishly and thoughtlessly ask of others. Shall I write you a $500 check while we're at it?

okay paras....whatever...

The thing is, I appreciate everyones point of view! I always worry that I will be seen as just another anonymus person selfishly expecting people to help me without appreciating anything. I don't want to come off that way, hence my long post to show some effort, I do appreciate everything I have encountered here. The thing is, I am a stranger to you so lets keep it that way and not make assumptions, okay? I am not one of those millions of inconsiderate people that you mention, and you are in no position to fit me into some unfounded stereotype.

whiterabbit, that was amazing!! Thanks so much! That really was spot on. I tend to use booze to escape pressure, like that Saturn in the 10th. Being drunk leads to some very confusing times when I am in the saturn/10th frame of mind. Anyways, that helped so much, I agree with it.

LMAO!!! Sorry, Oh man, Paras' outburst cracked me up

Carlfloyd, I would look at your chart and make some suggestions, but it's so much easier for me if I can see the chart. So if you save it from astro.com and then upload it to a place like supload.com or imageshack.net, I could look at it better.

It's so much easier to see the aspects and the house placements when it's in front of you visually!

Seriously, can we try to *not* be so catty? If you paid to join that be something else, but you didn't. SO 1) Get over it 2) Go somewhere else 3)Cut the drama and lose the attitude

I add an apology to Paras too, as I met your "rant" with a bit too much harshness... I didn't mean to be so *crabby* if you will, however...all I mean is

if you dont have any insight/dont want to say anything beneficial, then you really shouldn't say anything at all. It hurts to be discouraged from free speech, especially here.

It was just a soft spot because I can feel what carlfloydfan does when no one responded...however, I also see what you meant by the long post.

Idk, w/e. Let's all be friends..haha...i think theres too much Libra going on in THIS post (mine) so I'm leaving now.

p.s.______ Dont mind Paras......he just had dinner with Saturn;Pisces conned him into buying insurance and Mercury ran off with his wallet.
p.p.s.______We all have to have dinner with Saturn and his wife Karma someday.....and we all have to invariably foot the bill....
