I wondered if anyone would be good enough to explain this 'fated' 29th degree thing that I keep reading others refering to. Does this apply to all planets at the 29th degree, or just certain ones? What does it mean by fated? Destiny?

I just have Pluto in Virgo at 29degrees (fourth house) and True Node Aquarius 29degrees (ninth house.)

What might this mean therefore?
Thanks most profusely

Pluto at 29 may be indicative of strong 'autocratic' tendecies of the native regardless of thier other placements.

29 degrees enhances all negative qualities of the planet and its sign.

Nodes at 29 may suggest it will be extremely difficult for you to follow NN.

added* I don't find 29 degree fated at all, but that's my personal observation.

fifth house,

I have a slightly different idea about this. I think that the 29th "fate degree" simply emphasizes the energy of the planet. What you do to it and whether or not you decide this is "positive" or "negative" is up to you!

For info on the Anaretic Degree:

If you click on the link at the bottom that says "More on Anaretic Degrees" it will give you info on specific planets in that degree.

Hi Zala! From one Anaretic Asc to another... Here's some randomness- I looked at one of the links you posted and realized that my Mars is conjunct your Sun! Neat hehe

`Who are you?' said the Caterpillar. This was not an encouraging opening for a conversation. Alice replied, rather shyly, `I--I hardly know, sir, just at present-- at least I know who I WAS when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then.'

Hi everyone!
Thank you for your links, I was reading a lot about that, so, alter all I got this idea, please correct me If you disagree, the 29th degree is at the end of the sign which means that you are very close to evolve to the next one and some characteristics of that next sign could appear, specially if there are some aspects with other planets. And I also understood that because of the transits, it is the previosus sign is more likely to influence you the first years and then with the transits it should evolve to the next one, right?
However it is necessary to check the houses and planets to get a more accurate scenario. Ok, so, I have my moon in cancer, 29º 41^, and my asc is leo 7º15¨, so, I have a strong leo influence. But, furthermore, my moon is in 12th house which is also related to karma, lessons, past lifes...
I am kind of worry with my moon, do you think it indicates that I have a hard lessong to learn? or a debt with my past life?any thought about that?

I have venus in virgo 29th degree.I feel it means something special because it is almost libra, which would make it at home in venus. But I think it makes it hard for me to decide when it comes to love.

I have Venus at 29 degrees Scorpio, first house (also the asteroid Ceres, as well).
I like what Tim said about the energy could be negative or positive. Sometimes what you read has such a negative tone to it that it doesn't give you much hope. I really don't enjoy the sites that list interpretations in such a black and white, negative way. I would imagine any degree or aspect can have both strenghts and weaknesses...... just my opinion..

The question I'm going to ask is going to combine 2 topics together....so hopefully astroleolady can help me out over here as well. Tim is always helpful...so I'm not even worrying about that

So you have this thing about the 29th degree...from what I understand, is that you can encompass both signs in a way. So if someone has their asc at 29 saggi, and 29 gemi and then person B has duplicated signs at saggi and gemi, and on top of that, has neptune at 0 degrees cappy....the asc person is going to be instrumental for person B or vice versa? or even both?

Btw...has Iqhunk disappeared or is it b/c I'm not looking at all the topics?

mars,

I am getting confused! Maybe if you used "Person A" and "Person B" to describe the situation it would help me understand you better. Right now I am getting a description of a person who has an Ascendant at 29 degrees Sagittarius and 29 degrees Gemini...which is impossible. And somone else (called "person B") has Sagittarius and Gemini duplicated on the house cusps with their Neptune at 0 degrees Capricorn. And the question is whether someone is "instrumental" for something for the other person...?

I know I am missing your point entirely but perhaps this helps you understand where I am getting confused.

The only thing I can answer in your question is that I think of the 29th degree as being strong in ONE sign...its own sign. So, for example a person with Sun in Gemini at 29 degrees is strong in GEMINI...not in Gemini and Cancer (the sign immediately following Gemini).

Confused and trying to help,

Tim

Ingrid Hello and Welcome,

you got it so right
Thats why degrees are so important.
By the time you have reached the 29th degree of any sign you have pretty much learned the lessons of that sign, yet there is something missing, some lesson or test to complete it and evolve.

The 29th degree is just a springboard to the next sign therefore "fated"

I thought I specified...sorry, it was late at night and I was tired, and yes, u got the question right.

The reason I asked the question was that I got the impression that people who have asc at 29 degrees in gemini and saggi (person A)...b/c they sorta get both characteristics, not all of them. And those w/ duplicated signs at saggi and gemini (person B- who haven't seen the potential in using these signs to compensate for the intercepted signs), can use the person A to help them out...

I hope I made more sense now...

mars,

Thanks for taking the time to help me "get my head around" your point.

I like the way linda put it, "By the time you have reached the 29th degree of any sign you have pretty much learned the lessons of that sign, yet there is something missing..." This is another way of saying there is STILL something to learn in that sign energy when a planet or point is at 29 degrees. For example, if a person has their Sun at 29 degrees Gemini, they are a Gemini and still have some "Gemini lessons" to learn. As they go along in their life there is a thing called "secondary progression" that indicates their inner development: so they feel more and more like the Cancer they have been working to become. However, the Gemini energy is always there in their life as well. A little confusing...but whoever said life was simple?

As to the second example with duplicate signs on the cusp person B added in, person B has no problem getting at Sagittarius and Gemini energy...it is the place where the interception in the chart occurs (the place BETWEEN the house cusps, (i.e., not on the cusps where Sagittarius and Gemini is) ) that indicate the challenges for person B's development. I think of interceptions as being "pointers" of places where we have to "balance out" the issues of the two houses.

Less confused and still trying to help,

Tim

Ohhhhhh, ok...I missed that bit. Ok, so person b would need people w/ arian and libran traits to balance themselves out. (If they have aries-libra axis intercept) I c....how about a person who has neptune in cappy at 0 degrees and is the only cardinal sign...I think i read somewhere that if it is at zero degrees, then u'd lack the singleton qualities (in this case, cardinal)...Or have I misunderstood something?

I have always wondered about this and my friends I talk to about astrology and understand it just as well as I do think the 29 degree I shouldn't worry about...

I have my sun 29.01 in Pisces... I act like an Aries, have energy and that outgoing fiery attitude like an Aries but still I feel I am a Pisces, the psychic, sympathy and wisdom of a Pisces.

I am curious if it goes the other way too, like having 0.17 NN?... My North Node is 0.17 Taurus. I don't know if I am trying to lean more towards this cuspal North Node lesson and I would imagine would make it harder on that North Node person?? I don't even know how I would think or understand how that would work! lol... Oddly both my brothers have Gemini Moon... And my North Node would be cuspal Aries? I think them having Gemini moons has something to do with I having chiron, midheaven and lilith gemini? Both of my brothers are Taureans with gemini moon, talk about people in my life leaning me in the right direction! Also I noticed that Taurean, Aries, and Gemini moons all I feel an extremely strong connection with and also they feel this way as well. I have a strong moon North Node connection with a few people in my life, I being the moon person. So I kind of know when I have that type of connection with a person and it goes for Taurus, aries and gemini. So if my NN is cuspal then my South Node would be Scorpio/Libra?

Also so if a person has Libra Moon then should I consider it a possibiliy that it would be a Conjunction with my South Node? Or should I not even go there? lol

I think it will just be something I will always wonder about.

i have read similiar to what lalinda has stated. i am taurus sun 21 deg 11th house, with saturn capricorn 29 deg 50'55 7/8 house . if anyone has had relationship problems it is me. especially with my cappy ascendant husband in his 29 deg. opposite my ascendant cancer. i think we were definitely fated. it has been 18 years and i think i am about to finally see the light slowly it is coming. unless he does something to move us backwards again. i beleive 29 deg is something you have to work a little harder at because you are going on to the next level and you are about to surmount the problem forever. that will be the last time you deal with the problems the sign and house signifies that will be the issue. i have faith i will not deal with man problems in my next life.
