I have heard that this is supposed to feel very significant for the vertex person. Maybe others have more opinions.IP: Logged |

Vertex acts like a secondary descendant.. what you want in a mate. If someone's vertex conjuncts an important angle/point/planet in your chart, it can be a real binding love at first sight, 'significance in my life' sort of thing. It's real. It's true. Here is a popular synastry article.... http://astrology.about.com/od/beyondsunsigns1/a/soulmate.htm IP: Logged |

The vertex person can be the catalyst to some important, fated feeling movement in the planet person's life. The vertex acts as a 'need-it-now' sort of feeling.. Like, you can't define it, just it is sacred and special, soul mate type. Especially personal planets/love planets. IP: Logged |

I am wondering how a conjunction between person A's Vertex and person B's Saturn would play out ... has anyone any thoughts on that one?IP: Logged |

If his VERTEX closely conjunct her Pluto and opposite her Venus. Who would feel like 'need-it-now'? He or she? This is something that I really want to know if someone can share experience. Thanks. IP: Logged |

I can't work out my vertex (sorry, I'm dumb sometimes!)... would anyone be willing to look at my chart and tell me?I have Venus in Gemini, and Gemini is also my descendent... could this cause a 'vertex'-type feeling? IP: Logged |

The Vertex point is not a planet, but is a mathematical point that functions as a very sensitive secondary descendant point. Conjunctions to it by another's planets can be very significant in committed relationships of all kinds. The NORTH NODE person brings challenge, struggle, and effort to the other person's planet, whatever that planet represents. Pay particular attention to the tight conjunctions! Some people like the challenge, especially those who are bored, and others don't like it and consider North Node conjunctions a major bother and distraction from what they'd rather be doing. The SOUTH NODE person brings ease, a sense of deja vu, and spirituality to the other person's planet, whatever that planet represents. There may indeed have been a past life connection with the two of you regarding themes of that planet. Sometimes the S.Node brings worldly losses with regard to the planet in question, but most of the time it is just an easy and comfortable connection, especially for older souls on the spiritual path.

Description of Vertex from cafeastrology: http://www.cafeastrology.com/vertex.html The Vertex is a point located in the western hemisphere of a chart (the right-hand side) that represents the intersection of the ecliptic and the prime vertical. In astrology, it is considered an auxiliary Descendant. The Anti-Vertex is the point that is exactly opposite the Vertex. Some astrologers refer to the Vertex as the "third angle" of a chart. If one person's Vertex is opposite the other person's Vertex it means that one person's Vertex is conjunct the other person's Anti-Vertex and vice versa. It is similiar to having one person's Ascendant conjunct the other person's Descendant and vice versa. The reversal of these axis in synastry comparison is common in relationship astrology. Also sometimes one person's IC/MC axis is the other person's Asc/Des axis. IP: Logged |

So I am told not just the vertex person feels this love at first site but the planet person feels a fated feeling and can't let go of the vertex person... My opinion is it's s very spiritual connection that makes the connection even more mystical/confusing why it feels so strong but just a feeling as with the node feeling that the 2 people feel brought together to help one another grow....~Aqua~ IP: Logged |

I have wondered what the effect of Vertex is versus the effect of True Node or Karma. For example, with my ex BF, my Vertex conjuncts his Eros and Uranus in Scorpio (he is a Scorpio) and his Vertex conjuncts my Saturn in Leo. My True Node conjuncts his Karma, Sun and Mercury in Scorpio, while my Karma and Pluto conjunct his Venus, Saturn, Part of Fortune and Juno in Libra. It always felt fated to me and we both had a really hard time letting go. (By the way, having one's Karma in Libra is no picnic.) Love IP: Logged |
