OK, I'll start off by saying I'm a huge dork.
Moving on..
CSI Las Vegas is literally the only TV show I still watch; I like the characters a lot.
It's actually on right now (but I've already seen this episode). For those that watch it..what do you think the character's sun signs are?
My guesses:
Grissom- Scorpio w/Virgo Moon, and some Aquarius thrown in. Cancer rising?
Sara- Pisces w/Aries moon, Mercury in Aries
Catherine- Libra/Taurus Moon/Scorpio rising
Warrick- Taurus/Moon in Gemini
Nick- Cancer w/Scorpio Mooon?
Greg- Sagittarius with a watery moon and Aquarius rising?
Dr.Robbins (the coroner)- ?

whiterabbit,

this is a great topic! i guess i'm a big dork too, because CSI Las Vegas is the only CSI i like and so of course i've thought about the astrology behind the characters.

i don't know about some of the other characters, but as for grissom (who i LOVE) i think you may be right about the virgo moon or possibly sun...in fact, i might just switch around what you said, and say i think he might have a virgo sun and scorpio moon. i say this because of the lady heather thing, it's clear he would have some scorpio. possibly capricorn, those cappies are often attracted to that kind of scene.

i'm inclined to think that he either has heavy aquarius or uranus rising.

i think you're right about sarah too, she must have some aries, definitely would add to the impetuousness. also, remember how her mother was an alcoholic and generally a bad influence? i think because of this she must have a moon-neptune aspect, quite possibly the opposition. (moon represents mother.)

anyways, thanks for starting this fun topic!

I watch that too.
The last new episode I watched had Sara coming out in her robe with Grissom on the bed talking to her.
As much as I like those characters I still think the TV execs should have put Grissom with Lady Heather (there was fire there)
and Sara with a woman. Seriously it would fit.

Grissom is a Leo sun.

In the storyline with Paul Milander (the guy who is going round killing people with August 17th birthdays) Grissom admits his own birthday is August 17th. I can't remember what year he said (possibly 1956 but my memory is not 100%).

I will go through my csi dvd collection and try and find out the episode where he says his birthday.

Cool topic.

I have Nick earmarked for a water sun - not sure which sign but definitely water.

I would say Greg had a strong dose of Aquarius.

Good topic by the way! Touch

hey touchstone, thanks for that bit of info! i do remember the paul milander story line, and i'd forgotten about how his b-day was mentioned.

i still think he would have to have strong uranus to be so detached -- at least, astrologically speaking. with some virgo thrown in, i think.

and i think that he *should* have hooked up with lady heather. i liked them together. they're both brainy and weird.

and sara -- she does seem like she'd do better with a woman!

I've now located the episode with Grissom's birthdate (it's Season 2 episode 13 "Identity Crisis"). Date is August 17th 1956.

Hey, Chrissy... I've always thought Lady Heather was good for him, too. A bit of a shock that he's ended up with Sara. Lady Heather would suit him so much better.

This birthdate gives Grissom a Capricorn Moon and Virgo Mercury with a Sun/Pluto conjunction.

Need to figure out a possible ascendant...

oooh, see, that's perfect!

• sun/pluto give him a love of crime/detective stuff

• the moon in cap is reserved, appearing unemotional, does things by the book

• and the sun/pluto signature would give a love of the uh, how shall we say, more deviant side of life -- lady heather!

• mercury in virgo fits too, as this is a dignified placement, his powers of observation/communication are heightened..

not sure on his ascendant. i still would like to say he has uranus rising (it's my own uranus conjunct the ascendant speaking here, no doubt) but i checked and uranus in his chart would be in early leo. this means in order for him to have uranus rising he'd have to have virgo rising basically...ooh, that might work. he could have middle virgo rising say, with mercury conjunct the AC, and then uranus would be in the 1st house. his sun/pluto would fall in the 2nd, most likely.

this fits to some extent, except that those with mercury conjunct the ascendant often appear way younger than they really are...they're usually slender, too, and often there's a unisex quality to their appearance. that's not gris at all.

oh well, this is fun!

Grissom would be a Cappy with a Scorpio moon.Intimidating,captivating,investigating.

But Billy Petersen is a Piscean with Gemini moon.Aww
I knew he was a Pisces because my Pisces alarm started hitting "EEOOUUUUEEEEOOOUUUEEEOOOUUU" the moment i saw him lol

I TOTALLY agree about the Lady Heather thing, I'm glad to see that it wasn't just me who saw the amazing chemistry. Regardless of the character's sun signs, I see their composite chart being some sort of crazy Scorpio/Aquarius- Pluto/Uranus tango.

ok, so Grissom's not a Scorpio, but the Sun/Pluto conjunction explains the Scorpio vibe he gives off. Does anybody else here have a secret crush on him?

It's always interesting when they let astrological info slip into tv shows. I've seen George Castanza is an Aries played by a Virgo. Hyde from That 70's Show is a Gemini played by a Pisces (if my memory serves me).

I don't watch CSI, though I've seen it a few times.

I can actually remember the signs of far too many actors come to think of it. Always curious I guess.

I LOVE CSI! (Only the Vegas one though)

Always was surprised that Grissom was a Leo. He comes across as sooo un-Leonine to me LOL. Cappy Moon makes sense to me, as do any kind of Virgo/Cappy influences.

Catherine comes across to me as an earth sign as well.

I would peg Sara as a fire sign (Leo maybe) w/ Scorpio influence, just because she seems fiery to me but also emotionally intense, and she's not afraid to say what she thinks, and she doesn't sugarcoat.

I def don't see Nick as a water sign just because you hardly ever see him expressing emotion (except when he's buried alive and a few other rare instances). Actually he reminds me a lot of a guy I used to date, who was a Gemmy/Sag/Cap Combo. Although I don't see the cappy in Nick in this case personally.

Greg - I agree with whiterabbit on that one.

Warrick - hmm that's a tough one just cause for some reason I've never really thought about his astro placements. Although to me personally something about his eyes screams Scorpio to me. He seems to be the most emotionally sensitive of all the guys in the show, so I'd have to go with him being the one with the most water. He's also secretive (like the way he got married - eloping then mentioning it only when Catherine noticed his ring). I see heavy Scorp or Pisces infl there.

I think this is great, and if trying to figure out what TV character's signs are is dorky, count me in LOL.

When the final Star Wars came out a friend of mine and I spent hours discussing which characters had which astro influences. It was great fun!

<edit> I haven't seen all the episodes and I mostly just catch the reruns on Spike and current stuff through iTunes so there's prolly a lot that I've missed that might cause me to fail to see traits in some characters that others here see.

i TOTALLY have a crush on Grissom.

being a uranus/AC in libra + venus/nn in aqua type person, i adore his quirky detachment.
