**Starcast for June 21-July 21**

This is a perfect time to utilize the wisdom of astrology offered below to help steer clear of potential roadblocks -- especially in matters of the heart. All signs point to turbulence ahead, so hang on to yourself and your loved ones, and gear up for the emotional bumps around the corner! But don't worry, things smooth out toward the end of the month, as loving Venus enters Cancer.

June 21: Sun into Cancer
If you're famous for being objective, rational and thorough, don't be too hard on yourself right now -- because operating from your head is going to be next to impossible. And if you're usually so level-headed, well, let's just say that stocking up on some Kleenex and staying away from the Barry Manilow CDs might not be a bad idea. Either way, before you make any decision -- any decision at all -- be very, very sure that you talk it over with a friend whose judgment isn't affected by emotions. In other words, when it comes to advising others now, we'll all do just fine. When it comes to making our own emotional decisions, it may be a while before we can handle it alone.

June 23: Venus into Gemini
You've been thinking about settling down lately, and you may have done just that over the past three weeks. If so, congrats -- and don't stop now. Loving Venus, ruler of relationships, is off for quicksilver Gemini, a sign that won't waste even one second once it's made a decision. This combination never leaves us short on ideas. With Venus making her way through the sign of the twins for the next three weeks or so, you'll be amazingly creative when it comes to amusing your significant other -- or whoever it is you'd like to have fill that position. If you're single, needless to say, there's a romantic buffet en route. Just be sure the person you're eyeing is really who you want. Otherwise, things could become interesting next week -- and not necessarily in a pleasant way.

June 25: New Moon in Cancer
When you feel a fresh idea stirring, there's a good chance you're feeling it beneath a new Moon -- that particularly potent day each month when the Sun and Moon meet in the same sign. This time around, with the new Moon energizing homebody Cancer, there's a good chance your taste for something new will relate to issues of home, family and security. So call that 'family meeting' with your roommates, start researching your home-improvement project or consider inviting a friend or neighbor over for the first time ... you get the idea. You may not be able to put your finger on it, but you have a feeling that there's something you can do to achieve a greater sense of well-being in your personal space. Don't miss the opportunity!

This new Moon will most affect Cancers born June 23-27, Libras born October 24-28, Capricorns born December 23-27 and Aries born March 23-27.

June 28: Mercury into Leo
With summer in full swing in half of the world, many of us are making plans to get together with loved ones and break out the grill. And even if you haven't made any plans yet, you'll suddenly get the show on the road -- as of today. Movement-oriented Mercury is on its way into dramatic, entertaining Leo, and those two are ready to make a party out of any gathering, big or small. So start making some calls and surrounding yourself with the ones you love. After all, if you play your cards right, you can keep this festive, celebratory energy going straight through the weekend!

July 2: Venus sextile Saturn
Serious Saturn may have a reputation for being a little too duty-oriented -- but when he's part of a supportive sextile, there's no denying the positive grounding effect. In this case, that stabilizing influence is benefiting the goddess of love and money: Venus herself! Now's your chance to get down to business and go after something you value a great deal. So whether you seize the opportunity to sit your sweetie down for a serious heart-to-heart or put this solid, practical energy toward your business pursuits, it's time to think and act realistically ... and then start reaping the rewards.

July 4: Mercury Retrogrades through July 28
When Mercury goes retrograde, it's time to re-think, re-view and re-consider. In fact, put a 're' in front of almost every word and you'll be on the right track. The important point to re-member is that you don't have enough information to make decisions about the future. Data gathered now will benefit you down the road. Build flexibility into your plans; give yourself escape clauses in contracts, double-check all travel reservations and make sure the spelling is correct on those wedding announcements! Mainly, just allow changes to manifest along the way. This is a glitchy time filled with misunderstandings, cars needing repair and technology breaking down. So listen extra carefully, get your AAA membership up-to-date and make sure to back up your files.

July 5: Mars Opposes Neptune
With willful Mars opposing Neptune's spirit of unity, there's a tendency to feel undermined or confused about attaining your goals. If you have a desire, someone else (or you yourself) might say, 'You don't really want that!' Or maybe, 'That will never happen so why even start!' This is a good time to assess who you're hanging out with, but remember, you don't always get what you want. There's a difference between sacrificing your needs and being inclusive of both yours and others'. If you decide to create something, consider others.

July 6: Jupiter in Scorpio ends its March 4 retrograde
A lot has changed since Jupiter went retrograde in March. Things you thought were going to happen didn't. There have been delays in projects and plans, and some social and economic changes as well. As Jupiter turns direct in this powerful sign, you are ready to reengage your passion. You've developed your game plan -- now take it as far as it can go. But easy does it until Mercury completes its retrograde on the 28th.

July 10: Full Moon in Capricorn
The high tide of this full Moon creates a perfect time for you to assess your emotions. In the days that follow, take delight in life's wonderful abundance and allow yourself comfort. This is an achievement-oriented moon, so analyze that mountain you've been climbing and make sure it's the one you want to be on. Capricorn is the sign of responsibility and maturity, so you'll want to take action and make your life secure through tangible, practical accomplishments. In the words of Abraham Lincoln, 'Determine that the thing can and shall be done, and then we shall find the way.'

This full Moon will most affect Cancers born July 9-13, Libras born October 10-14, Capricorns born January 7-11 and Aries born April 6-10.

July 10: Retrograde Mercury reenters Cancer
You're returning to some old conversations, and your words will have plenty of emotional oomph with this major communication planet transiting back into a water sign. You are extra sensitive and your concern for others is strong, which can be a good thing when expressing your love for someone or announcing that you're joining the Peace Corps. Just make sure you keep your emotions in check when you tell your boss why you deserve a raise! This planet placement inspires you to enhance your security.

July 14: Mars trines Pluto
With Mars in Leo, bold actions pay off. And with powerful Pluto in this supportive aspect, you get plenty of help for your projects and plans. People in positions of power like what you're doing and give you the added boost you need to succeed. So don't be shy about asking for assistance. Those people you thought never even noticed you are noticing you now! It's an intense time, but creativity, action and resourcefulness all come together. Go for it!

July 18: Venus enters Cancer
In feeling-oriented Cancer, Venus loves to nurture and cuddle. This a great time to enroll in a cooking class or upgrade to a more comfortable mattress. Cancer is the sign of home, family and comfort, so pop some popcorn and cozy up in front of the TV. Most importantly, dip into your feelings and give your mind a rest. An open, loving heart brings rewards.

July 18: The Sun conjuncts retrograde Mercury
Mercury, the traveling ambassador, comes home to the Sun on the 18th bringing news collected since Mercury went retrograde on July 4. Think of this aspect as Information Central, because data you connect with at this conjunction can be implemented later. This is a great time to reflect and ponder, but not act. Take what you are learning now and use it after Mercury turns direct July 28.

Enjoy the Sun's transit of Cancer!
