Hello...I was just concerned about a Pisces friend of mine. I've know him for about four years or so. We coupled up in the beginning but gradually turned into friends; however, I feel like now I'm just a stranger. The only time he calls me up is to tell me that he feels like he's "losing his mind," or "feel like killing myself." I'm constantly calming him down and running to his aid. As soon as I show up he's okay and those things he says disappears. i'm wondering just how serious he is.

Can anyone perhaps tell me something from his chart.

March 8, 1977.

Thanks to anyone who could help me.

jane,

As you may know, it is a dangerous game testing "how serious" a sucidical person is. Until he says otherwise, it is best to pretend he means what he says. Without an accurate, dependable birth time, it is difficult to understand his reasons for doing what he does. However, we can look at transits (movements of planets in the sky) to his planets (even if we don't have a certain, verifiable birth time) and see what effects the outer world is having on him.

He has transiting Pluto (transformation, also death) squaring (energy needs to be combined with) his Sun (self-expression), so he may express himself in a way that focuses on death. In addition, transiting Uranus is conjuncting (energy is combined with) his Mercury (thinking/daily work). Uranus rules lightning, so this can feel to him like his mind is struck by lightning, as he is "sparked" into many different types of ideas which easily flow through his head. Also, Uranus is trining birth Uranus in Scorpio (transformation, also death), which adds to the "lightning" effect and the suddenness of his "death thoughts".

The challenge for him is to accept the transformations he is going through and to flow with the new energy that is exciting his thinking and ideas. He probably knows this, but is trying to hold onto the way things "used to be".

This is even more difficult for him to do because this is the time of his Saturn return, when Saturn returns to the place it was at his birth...and it is a time for him to grow up and become an adult. This is another type of "death" in a way...the death of childhood and the birth of becoming an adult. Now is the time for him to "put away childish things" and he needs to understand this. If he refuses to accept this and you can not help him, he needs professional counseling help from a qualified psychologist or some other humanitarian worker.

The challenge is clear...but he needs to accept it and grow with it instead of fighting it.

Growing into adulthood,

Tim
