I think I'm going through some growing pains in my life. I no longer want a care giving job or worry about others. I'm tired of being chameleon like and highly adaptable to suit others around me. For once I want to focus on myself and not worry about what others think or do. I have mastered controlling my emotions that I no longer want the tight rein on my feelings, this is now detrimental to me. I have this need to leave my well worn shell and force myself out into the spotlight - after all these years I would run like hell from it. I have spent so much time just sitting behind the scenes that it is now not a place where I want to be any more. I want to give rebirth to my creative and expressive side. I have started doing karaoke on wednesday nights and I find that I'm needing a bigger adrenaline rush. It's like getting one stage once a week is not enough. I am praying to my spirit guides to inspire me on what to do for work.

I know that once I start opeing up more, things will fall into place right now. Where I am now is getting to be too unbearable and I need to find a work outlet soon for creative expression.......any insights into what's happening in my chart?

Inner,

What transits to outer planets and secondary progressions are you currently under?

When you said, "... I have mastered controlling my emotions that I no longer want the tight rein on my feelings, this is now detrimental to me... "

1. Learn me on how you mastered controlling your emotions so well.

2. Why do you think you had the need to control your emotions?

3. Are a lot of your emotions currently reined in, or did some already sneak out in the middle of the night?

my childhood was not good for a cancer moon. I was young shy and timid and any show of emotion was I scolded and told that crying was unacceptable. When I was younger I was taught a show of emotion was bad. (IN my adult years, my views have changed).

During my 20s i went on to not deal with my feelings etc. I figure now it more repressing than ever. My folks call it controlling one's emotions. (I never saw it when i was growing up - how to deal with feelings. Even making a mistake was a huge disaster in my family - and i wonder why i'm a perfectionist).

Right now I feel repressed and need to explore my emoitonal self more (Progressed moon going into scorpio soon).

Maybe the illusion seemed like I was so strong and I thought that I was wonder woman who could handle everything. The people who I worked with at the Homeless shelter thought i was a pillar or strength.....well it takes a stronger person to break down and feel.

Nice sense of humor and I love you too ((((((HUGS))))))

nah, it's hard getting the emotuions out at times.......when i am moved to tears....I need to learn to let it out and express feelings and thoughts more.

I have spend 30 some odd years in the corner with my introverted self not saying anything or doing stuff. Now I'm going on stage and singing and wanting to throw myself in the spotlight.

so maybe I'm the queen of repression, in an emotional sense. Maybe i controlled how I felt around others using my evr famous poker face hiding behind a mask.......

Just a few thoughts - i'm being introspective tonight and having my thoughts shift around.....

Inner depths -

As a fellow Cancer Mooner, let me get this out of the way -- you're not going to like it, you're not gonna want to hear it, but take into consideration that those who thought of you as being too emotional might have seen a "drama queen" before they saw your true emotion. It's frustrating cuz you know there are others who are even MORE sensitive than you, but their feelings get respected, even though all YOU see is a drama queen.

I have to tell you that because you need to remember that other's are looking at you from their own emotional subjective perspective, as well as Cancer Mooners going temporarily insane during Full Moons!

Think of how much you wanted to just please people so you could simply felt accepted, and you did what they told you, and you happened to find a way to do it very well. Now it's all kind of a knotted blur. What House is your Moon in?

You must teach them about issues of emotions because that's what they intensify in you no matter what you do. So be a pillar of emotion, the living example, of sorts. BE a perfectionist about it, and see who can keep up with you.

It DOES take a stronger person to break down and feel, and those are your very words.

You wanting to throw yourself in the spotlight, just be careful and know where it's coming from. Cancer Mooners can easily try to manifest what they think is empty in their own lives. I like to remember it as, "you cannot replace what is missing" ... even though we like to think we have that much control in our lives ... I don't know, that's just how I deal with it these days.

YAY! Nothing has been sugar coated and I love that! Honest and to the point is where it's at, for me anyhow. Can ya tell I have Sun in Aries?

My natal Cancer moon is right at the 2nd and 3rd house cusp. Astro.com puts my moon into the 3rd.

I lived with my mother after the divorce and she is a Leo with an Aries Moon/Sag Rising and my stepfather is a Pisces with an Aries moon. My father's mother is a Gemini Sun, Moon, Mercury and Venus. My father is Gemini with a Pisces Moon and Cancer rising. I'm the oldest of 6 kids in a blended family. the youngest just turned 20.

A long while back I had no sense of self and believed everything that was told of me. If somebody told me that I was thoughtless and inconsiderate, didn't care about anybody, selfish, or too emotional I would think that there was something seriously wrong with me and work very hard to correct myself - so yes I could say I was a deep people pleaser - up untill the late 90's and things really changed after that.

Now I have a sense of self and march to my own drummer - I answer to myself only and kick my own butt if I need to. I'm the one in charge of my life and knows what works for me.

However now I find that I am working on my 12th house issues. I have Saturn and mercury in the 12th in Taurus. My Mercury has been transitted by Saturn in the 3rd house and Neptune squaring natal saturn in the 12th - disolving boundaries and limitations. They say that with Merc and Saturn in the 12th one needs to develop some self confidence because we spend so much time alone and in isolation just dreaming of dazzling the crowds and having a tonnes of people to go out and do stuff. I have a T Saturn square N saturn coming up and T Pluto square N pluto. So whatever has kept me back in the past has triggered something and I'm not feeling comfy in my comfort zone.

I also think that I'm working through some trust and security issues as I have no trust for strangers. I have felt disconnected from the world and myself at times. By going out and learning dance or singing karaoke I am learning to trust myself more and to accept myself - warts and all. I'm learning to get out of my mind and just go out there and do. This has done me the world of good. I'm starting to follow my intuition more and to develop my extraverted side and don't want to exclusivly keep to myself. My thoughts are important too. So is my self expression as well. (Transitting saturn is trining my natal sun).

I have hardly touched upon my avenues of self expression because I sat in the corner and said or did nothing. The people who have known me for years hardly know some of the major stuff in my life - only about the little problems that have come up over time. I'd go to work and hibernate at home and have a very minimal social life. Some would say to stop by whenever and I'd go straight home.

I'm starting to acknowledge others more and they are delightfully shocked to see me more open and expressive. Many have said "It's about time!" They are impressed to hear that I'm out there doing things and one of my friends is very proud of me to see interesting changes. These changes came about because of myself and for nobody outside me.

Later today my progressed moon will be going into Scorpio so my emotions will become deeper and intense, I suspect. Also the progressed moon just moved into the 5th house in the P chart too.

April 3, 1971 9 AM Calgary, Ab is my data for you..if ya wish to check things over....

Have a wonderful day. I know this post was a little wordy - typical Gemini traits I guess....

My Cancer Moon is in the 3rd too, if that's the way you prefer to read it. I think this makes for an even MORE nervous Cancer Mooner, especially when our feelings get hurt, or we think we hurt someone's feelings, we get wired!

My Aries Cusp is in the Empty 12th House Space of my T-Square, so I NEED your Aries Sun!

Try doing something to understand the dynamics at work here from a slightly different angle ... If you have a reliable source for Sun/Moon combo's, read not only Aries Sun/Cancer Moon, but also read, Cancer Sun/Aries Moon. It's interesting, or at least try it and see if you don't seem to cross over subtle faint reminders of a part of you.

A highly sensitive soul controls their emotions because the whole world views the sensivity as a weakness and there there is something WRONG with them. They are always being invalidated and told to suck it up and get on with life.they are told to ignore their emotions and what they are...

This is the problem.

Firstly, for a proper evaluation you need to post your chart, preferably with progressions and transits on same wheel found in extended chart selection. Reduce the ratio of orbs to 80%, select smallest image size 63% on picture, then choose house system (my personal preference is for Equal house rather than the default of placidus), right mouse click and select 'save target pic as' and save to hard drive then upload here

progressed charts are more 'internal' changes, evolvements rather than 'events or external' matters. I don't read prog charts as stand alones it's more important to see where these planets are moving in the natal chart

Your natal chart is like a photograph as unique as your fingerprint, BUT the 10planets in the sky have not stayed where they were in your natal chart, they have all moved. Predictive astrology is mostly maths where those 10planets are now and the mathematical aspects they make to your natal charts ie: 180'=opposition, 90'=square, 60'=sextile and 120'=trine.

So your personality, grows, develops, changes, matures as we get older, this is reflected by your sun sign changing from it's natal position to the next sign along, so does your Asc and MC sign change. In fact from sun to mars especially are important, as the outer planets really don't move much, using a 'day for a year' secondary progressions.

What's the difference between Transits and Progressions?
“Transits are the planets currently orbiting in the sky and the relationships they form to each other and additionally, to your chart. Transits happen for everyone. They're important and effect you personally when they contact a planet or point in your chart. Transits represent outside energy, things happening outside yourself. They describe external events and your responses to them. Progressions, however, move very slowly and are a natural progression of your original birth chart. The events and emotions they describe are part of you, deeply ingrained in your psyche, internal, and psychological. And as they form aspects, these inner feelings start to become more important and central to your life” http://www.artcharts.com/learn_astrology/progressed.html

If you want to research more into Secondary progressions try here http://cafeastrology.com/secondaryprogressions.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astrological_progression http://www.aquamoonlight.co.uk/progressions.html http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=67 http://www.khaldea.com/rudhyar/astroarticles/progressionsinastrology.php http://www.aquamoonlight.co.uk/progressions.html http://astrolmass.com/progressions.htm

The most important of progressed planets is of course, sun & moon and then upto mars, as the outer planets hardly move by progression. Now like with transits, solar arcs --- it's what these progressed planets are doing NOW by mathematical aspect to your natal planets and Angles that is ultimately important.
