Topic: When Astrology Colors Your Primal Decisions

I was wondering from both sides. When it was because of something you learned through an astrological route that made you immediately understand someone in a good way, i.e., you get along better, you understand their personal struggles better and can empathize more.Including the other side, having avoided a person altogether only because you learned something through an astrological route. Have you an experience with one or the other which stands out in your mind? ------------------

astro,Personally I look at astrology from the first point of view you mentioned: something to help us understand our energies in a good way, get along better with ourselves and others, and empathize and sympathize with the personal struggles others go through. Once I accept that position, I can't accept judging people based only on their chart...since I don't know what they have decided to do with their chart energies. But the process is not "immediate"...getting to know other people well is a life-time effort!  Making effort, Tim ------------------

I try to avoid judging someone on their chart, coz I know not every chart is 100% correct, I use it to better understand people...though...one time I saw this one guys chart, and it made me run the hell away... ------------------

Good topic.As much as astrology has helped me to better understand and empathize in my relationships, I think it can taint them just as effectively. Because of my curious nature, I like to know a LOT about people in little time. I like to know what I'm getting into before I get into it.. so astrology sometimes becomes that gateway into someone's life through which I can try to understand them. This leads to problems because I don't give people a fair chance, or I convince myself that I know them.. but the only fair way to get to know someone is through interacting WITH them. It's interesting because either way, giving people a primal chance vs. having advanced astrological knowledge of them, you are going to get a colored impression.But I don't blame the gun, just what's done with it. I think if you study astrology, you live astrology. You have to be centered to begin with or it all reads like a cover of the Enquirer. ------------------
