He has has Taurus (physical, also desires) modifying Venus (physical, also desires) in a fate degree (strong energy - 0 degrees) focused in the 5th house (self-expression, also dating) trine (energy goes easily with) Virgo (daily work) modifying Mars (being, also action) focused in the 9th house. This could indicate he has strong desires in his dating and easily takes very expansive actions to achieve those desires.

Thing is, I'm actually none of them.

Obsessed to me is without consideration of the party involved, very selfish, can be dangerous even.

Clingy, for me, is someone who always looks to you for an answer, or for appreciation or validation, never capable of doing this for themselves.

Possessive, for me, is controlling, never letting someone out of your sight and almost twisting their world so that they are always connected to you and cannot stray.

This guy just probably loves you or cares for you in a way that is too deep and real for you to comprehend, hence for him to let go is to kill a dream.

If you can't handle that, for me, it says more about a lack in the receiver. Usually there are signs it will be this way beforehand too, and people love and go with it. But then when they realise they were actually taken for being genuine and following through on their words, the world seems to close in and names get thrown, fingers pointed.

He's probably just too intense for you. I find that makes most people feel better. Shallowness doesn't come into it......

I have cancer/8th house and I would rather be surrounded by happy people, so he could try to "understand" or analyze why you two argue.

If he doesn't want to go with the flow find out what's happening at work, he needs a demanding high energy job

I have noticed some Pisces to be clingy and don't forget Scorpios and Taureans can be clingy and possessive also.

It really is up to him, not me! Some possible "expansive actions" are overdoing his relationships in some way: perhaps making some sort of "grand gesture" in his relationships all the time. I think you called it "...Not forgetting about you..."!

He could be clingy, obsessive and doesn't forget emotional slights because:

His Moon (emotions) in Scorpio (fixed, water) in the 12th house (subconscious), naturally ruled by Pisces (a water house) trining (flow and ease) his Sun (inner self) in Pisces (mutable, water) in the 4th house (security), naturally ruled by Cancer (a water house).

Moon in Scorpio can be possessive and obsessive. With it placed in the 12th house, he likes to remain in surroundings that are familiar, secure and safe to him. He craves and needs emotional security. He may also live in his imagination somewhat.

Sun in Pisces is very sensitive, and again he may like to live in his own world, his mind. The Sun in the 4th house can act like the Sun in Cancer (feeling), which can be clingy. He needs emotional security and needs to be needed, therefore, he doesn't like to let go of people or the past.
