Well, I have recently been thinking about going into the teaching profession.

I would either like to teach reading and writing to small kids (in Kindergarten, 1st grade) and or to children with delayed mental abilities.

As far as careers go my chart really confuses me, b/c I have aspect to the midheaven which may indicate drive (trines from mars and pluto) but, as stated in a previous thread, I have venus and uranus in the 6th as well as a pisces midheaven (confusion!)

Do you guys see any indication teaching being a possible successful profession for me in my chart??

Ok...I saw your post down few days ago and wanted to write about similarities in our charts.
Oh, there is quite few.
I have Venus in Gemini in 6th and my Uranus is in my 10th (which is very similar to having Uranus in 6th,(one represents job other career).
Here is my situation. I’m teaching assistant. I teach literature, which I adore (Venus in Gemini).
I'm also not sure do I want to do that whole my life, I'm attracted to a lot of other carriers, like acting, writing....Ruler of my 10th house is in my 9th, so I work at the University.
I see that ruler of your 10th house is in your 7th, so you are probably going to work "with other people", and teaching is all about that.
Talking about Uranus effect, I think that he is manifested thru my constant craves for change in career and my knowledge of the computer science. Not that I'm bragging about, but I can do magic with this thing! People are always wondering how I can be so into these two very different areas. Computer is really building my career. I learned English surfing on the internet and astrology of course (Uranus again!). One day I was trying to find some astrology, just for curiosity, and step by step I fell in love with this beautiful science.
But, this is just my example.
I think that you need to find your way to go with symbolism of your planets, and make them work in your advantage. Or, they will find you and sometimes they can be unpleasant.
So, all you need to do is work with them against their bad characteristics.

gemini,

You have a kite focused on Sagittarius (expansion, also teaching) modifying Jupiter (expansion, also teaching) conjunct (energy is combined with) Descendant (others). All of this seems to indicate a strong focus on teaching! :-)

Expansively,

Tim

My chart is similar to yours as well, and I think you'd be a good fit for teaching.

Hey geminirising,

Im a teacher, and also have a gemini rising, which I think is great for the teaching profession...keeps the kids entertained...and teaching is great for you because of all the challenges of teaching...there's never a dull moment!

You also have true node in gemini, so this life you are meant to be a communicator...which relates back to teaching.

Mercury rules your chart. And Pisces is on your MC. So Mercury conjunct Jupiter and Neptune is a definite marker of a teacher.

Plus you have a lot going on in the 5th house of children. I think Saturn in the 5th house is a common placement for teachers...I know a few, but Im still trying to back this up.

And Pluto conjunct mars in the 5th, could indicate a great amount of drive and focus dedicated to children.

Good luck with your decisions.

I'm SO glad to be able to see an image of your Wheel, it's like I can see more sometimes. Anyways, now I can see why everyone is talking about teaching. Wow. It's almost as if you may have the Midas Touch ... turns to gold?

For some reason, I thought you may be asking because of other hesitations. I sensed you may be trying to find out other stuff in a round'about way, and I wanted to take a look at your Saturn first. Not only because it helps determine how much actual tenacity you'll invest, but it may also indicate any sort of weaknesses in an EXTREMELY high profile job. I've known people who are amazing teachers, who are human and have weaknesses a society-at-large would disapprove of.

Being a good teacher these days brings with it so many challenges because you must know what your students will tend to come into contact with in order to make a true difference.

You have a Saturn in Scorpio in your 5th House, which comes very close to forming a Stellium with your Mars & Pluto. Are you dealing with Moral issues as well when you ask?
