Shama,

Since you are looking for a career, normally we look at Capricorn/Saturn/10th house (all are about career). However, in your case Capricorn modifies Neptune (spirituality, also confusion), Saturn (duty, also career, restriction) is opposite (energy is over-excited by) Mars (being, also action), and there is nothing in the 10th house. This indicates you may be confused about career, feel that your actions are restricted, and do not normally focus on career issues.

So, instead, we will look at the overall chart and see what clues this gives us. Since most of your planets are at the bottom of your chart (inner world), you tend to focus on your inner world. Since more of your planets are in or near the bottom left of your chart, you use what you know about yourself to understand your inner world. All this suggests that you do best in a career that allows you time to connect inwardly from time to time.

There is a T-square (strong energy) focused on Aries (being, also action) modifying Venus (physical, also money) conjunct (energy is combined with) Mercury (thinking, also talking, sales) focused in the 5th house (self-expression, also performing arts). This suggests you might do best at making money in a job that allows you to express yourself and take actions in some type of sales performance.

This suggests to me that being a salesman of some sort might be of interest to you. You would have to restrict your actions to what your customers want, would need to take action to supply them with their needs, have to be self-confident (inwardly aware), and take talking actions in their best interests. Jupiter (expansion, also opportunity) focused in the 3rd house (thinking, also talking, sales) emphasizes this possibility.

Guessing,

Tim

ScorpioRising,

You have Virgo on your 10th house (career) with Mercury in your 5th (creativity, children, sports, drama, entertainment, hobbies etc). Virgo on the 10th may provide you with more than one career and one where you need to communicate with others. Teaching is one example. The service industries are others. When your 10th house ruler (Mercury) is in your 5th house, your hobby may become your career. What are your hobbies? Do you write creativity? Do you like to teach children? Do you like to participate in the arts: painting, drawing, sculpting, singing, acting, crafting, graphic design, clothing design, jewelry etc? Your career should be something that you enjoy and find "fun" to do.

Mercury in Aries is part of a t-square which conjuncts Venus in Aries and squares both Moon in Cancer in your 8th and Neptune in Capricorn in your 2nd house. With focal point of the t-square being Mercury and Venus in Aries in the 5th house and the square from both your Moon and Neptune, you may be imaginative, creative, musical and artistic, which can be applied towards your choosen career path. Your Mercury is also trined by Uranus in Sagittarius from the 1st house. You are original and talented. You set the trends.

Looking at your 6th house (work), you have Sun in Taurus. Sun in Taurus may allow you artistic and musical ablities. Sun in the 6th may mean that you have an interest in the fashion design and the clothing industry or the food, cooking, baking, diet and health fields or any of the service industries. Pluto (your chart ruler with Scorpio on the cusp) opposes your Sun giving you a lot of rebellious energy that you may supress because your Pluto is in your 12th house. Drama and/or sports would be a good outlet for you.

The ruler of your 6th house (Taurus) is in your 5th (Venus). You must enjoy and "love" your work with the Venus involvement. You may work at a hobby. Your work should a have a creative outlet, and it may involve children in some capacity. Your work should be something that you enjoy and find "fun" to do.

In your second house (money, earning ability), you have Neptune in Capricorn, which is trining your Taurus Sun in the 6th house. This trine provides more fantasty, imaginative and creative talents for you, ones that are practical, and can earn you money.

The ruler of your 2nd house (Sagittarius) is in your 3rd (Jupiter). You have an expansive need to communicate your values in some manner. Your income may come from the acting industry, the arts, and the communications fields (broadcasting, radio, writing or speaking). Your brothers and sisters may help you to earn money. Since Jupiter is involved, you may have to travel or commute to work to earn money. Another possibilty is that you may teach others. Travel writing is a possibility.

I'm probably too late, but wanted to first say, thanks for posting an actual image of your Wheel on this one.

I feel that your decision may be too rash if you are not careful, as you may make a decision based more on frustration, and it may cause you to feel like you settle for less, over and over again.

I don't know. You let me know. But I hear a lot of frustration, and I can relate to that. I'm first wanting to make sure you get centered first. If not, you'll keep on settling.

Your 10th House Cusp (MC) of Career is almost right on the border of Leo and Virgo, which puts your 4th House Cusp (IC) Home Issues on the Aquarius/Pisces border. Neither feels fully comfortable to you, as if you need to make a significant choice between holding the family together, or venturing out into the world rather solo.

This IS aggravated by that T-Square which was mentioned, and also mentioned, the lack of Planets in that area of the Wheel, which gives you a bit of a "blind spot".

I would read up on your Neptune in Capricorn in your 2nd House to find clues to what would fit you best. I'd also read up on your Saturn & Pluto in Scorpio in the 12th House for even more clues.

Here to answer more and help if you still need it.

I am STRONGLY looking into communication as a career. As a consultant (scorpio rising) or as a Professor. I do ADORE children.

Astrojunkie-I was once told My Scorpio and Pluto in 12th is where my fame will come from. That nothing would stop me. True?

I think you meant to ask, your "SATURN" and Pluto in the 12th, right?

Sometimes when someone asks a question, the way they phrase it may give interesting clues ... like when you ask "... where my fame will come from. That nothing would stop me ..."

I mean, correct me here if needed, but it gives me the impression that you have hopes for or have been hinted of "fame" in your life. The other part of your question gives me the impression that you feel like fame will only be reached through an inbred type of tenacity...

Both are completely possible to occur in your life, but be careful what you ask for. As a Scorpio Rising, this soul-searching will NOT be difficult for you. Let's say you GET the fame. What do you think it will make you feel like? How do you think you would act? What would be the pitfalls, and are you at all concerned about how it may change you?

As for nothing stopping you, (you don't have to answer these outloud here, but at least ask yourself) ... in the past, what have I been willing to do to acheive or acquire something, including the good, the bad and the ugly? Make 3 columns.

And lastly, what methods or skills have you wished you could incorporate, but felt you lacked in terms of follow-through?

These are very important questions because of the variety of influences in your Chart. You may feel like you have the power sometimes, but may also feel like you failed yourself sometimes. You may even feel you've failed based solely on your "feelings", as in, you may work hard only to feel emotional deficient in the end. Or, you may feel emotionally satisfied, only to feel like your talents and the world-at-large are passing you by.

Fame is 5th House stuff, but can also be present in the 1st House if you've got intense things going on there which makes you famous despite yourself. Your Merc & Venus in the 5th will keep you in line a bit as your Mercury's attempt to be heard will be softened up by that Venus, which may improve on what your intentions are.

In your 1st House, your Ascendent is in Scorpio, but in a very late Degrees 29.02. This also puts your Saturn in Scorpio very close to your 1st House. If you want to see if how well you can relate to what may be a close Ascendent in Sag, read descriptions on BOTH Scorpio & Sag Ascendents and see which one works for you! You might find you're able to access resources from both.

This may help bridge any gaps in indiscrepancies which may exist due to a slightly incorrect time of birth. Don't go crazy trying to define all this these to the tee, the idea is to read the stuff youself and give yourself an honest answer as life fluctuates, and so will you.

As for "never giving up", I'd look at your Mars and Saturn. Mars is the immediate drive and energy you will have at your disposal on a daily basis. Saturn is how much energy you will have for long-haul projects which you feel you've been planning and investing for.

Your Mars is in Taurus at a very late Degrees 29.28. Think of this as your Mars in Taurus having lived a full life in its incarnation. You may feel obligated to learn about why you may lack drive by reading interps on Mars in Gemini, the next Sign over. It won't be a bad thing to gather from that energy as well because you just might be able to use the Gemini energy there to help pull you out into action without being scattered about it.

Your Saturn is in Scorpio which is one of the most tenacious placements for reaching long-term goals, very much into placing a lifetime of planning and investment (including personal investment) in order to fulfill some unconscious need to "be something". Just also know that Scorpio in Saturn is NOT happy when things don't go their way, which brings me back to the verse.

Dear Astrojunkie,

Thank you so much for replying. I do have scorp in late degrees, but I am not willing to foresake the things that matter most (morals, family, etc) to acheieve success. I was just wondering what career I would be "unstoppable" at...if that makes any sense...

scorpiorising,

(thanks AJ for your posts, these have shed some light on things I've been wondering about with my own placements)

a couple of things jumped out when I read through this thread. One, you have an angle (your ASC) plus your mars at an anaretic degree. It has been said that the last degree of a sign makes the planet/angle feel that time is running out, that you have to urgently "DO" something to correct your trajectory before it's too late. (My sun is on the 29th degree of Cap) So you get stuck in a cycle where you need a purpose to be working on, yet you are constantly questioning your direction. AJ's advice is invaluable here - give yourself some time to relax and think things through, but whatever you do, don't rush into a hasty decision.

Secondly you have Saturn in Scorpio - so do I. The fact is, with this placement you ARE unstoppable except if you give in to your fears and then give up. The way to think of this placement is that you have the power to survive/adapt to any circumstances that cross your path, but you must not get caught in trying to do the opposite (use your will to make things happen as you want them to). Don't give up on things you would like to achieve but don't get caught in thinking it will all go exactly as planned either. In fact, sometimes it can go differently and work out even better than you expected.

Scorpio rising, do be patient because your chart shows lots of luck in career. Especially your Mars in Taurus makes you attract responsible partners who want to help you, and it's in the 7th.

My Moon is also in Cancer in the 8th and this can be where the love of children come from, the urge to nurture and protect is very strong. My midheaven is also ruled by Virgo and I can say that you should keep focusing on your career rather than your job-your job will change several times but your path remains the same.

Focus on outside interests but not just hobbies, instead look at second jobs, other people's jobs, and identify with a career path that you feel happiest with showing off to others. You have to appreciate your career most of all.

Virgo will give you strength with numbers, but don't be a perfectionist, see the forest, keep looking at new careers. Pisces, Cancers, and Libras make supportive work buddies.

Good Luck,
Natasha
Taurus/Cancer
