How true is this for you in particular
Please answer honestly and also what do you do about it.

This is taken from the thread "How to spot a XXXXXXX B*****D )

Things that have to do with you; like whether or not you’re keeping yourself attractive enough for him, whether or not you’ve put on weight; whether or not he finds your voice grating.

But whilst your innermost feelings are safely beyond the Libra’s comprehension, your numerous surface flaws will receive more and more of his attention.

You’ll be expected to take out the swimsuit and evening gown sections of the Miss World pageant as well as walking away with the Miss Congeniality title. And you’ll also be required to combine these skills with those of a gourmet chef and interior designer.

What if he does discover he really likes you ands wants to see you again? What if he sees you again and likes you even more? Then he’d have to keep on seeing you. Which would probably lead to a major commitment like marriage and kids.

hey HL,
i think u should read the thread heading again- it says 'the libra B@STARD'...WHICH MEANS ITS ONLY MEANT FOR THE B@STARDS...not for the nice guys like u , cos if there were only b@stards around no one would fall in love or get married...
i mean not all libras r like that, or even scorpios or virgoes...etc.
n if u r asking this question even generally, jus like that- i thoink u have already identified the possible flaws that may affect a libra n ur thereby trying to counter it. so i think half of ur prob is solved here only...that means u wont certainly be following that criteria given for a perfect girl acc to a libra...right?
n i remember i had seen ur chart earlier where thought maybe an aqua girl might be right for u(hehe maybe )...ur chart suggested that u focus alot on ur relationships- which is why ur so worried abt finding a life partner, hhmmm? so i dont think u will fit that description anyway...ur a kinda low maintainance guy (acc to ur chart).
u know what even im also like u in this area, i havent met my mr.right yet n im really worried abt it aswell- when will i meet him, will he be nice, will this relationship last or i'll remain lonely all my life etc etc.
so we jus have to wait, cant do anything abt that...duh...

Oh good, a thread I can actually answer.

quote:
Things that have to do with you; like whether or not you’re keeping yourself attractive enough for him, whether or not you’ve put on weight; whether or not he finds your voice grating.

Doesn't apply at all for me. I mean if I'm with someone and they're gaining weight, first I'd get an idea of how they feel and if they're unhappy about it then I'd offer to help them lose it... if they are happy then it's not a problem.

quote:
But whilst your innermost feelings are safely beyond the Libra’s comprehension, your numerous surface flaws will receive more and more of his attention.

Doesn't apply there either... I've been with my gf 3 years and this hasn't happened. Any flaws she might have I picked up really early on and learnt to either ignore or deal with.

I think I'd feel a bit uncomfortable with her parading around in front of thousands of guys in a swimsuit lol so no I don't think that one applies either. Plus I do my own cooking.

This one is probably more accurate... apart from the major commitment thing since I'm only 20. But yeah if I really liked someone I wouldn't want anything casual, it just wouldn't happen.

I think sugar_buns pretty much nailed it, that article (while a joke one) was basically a worst case scenario or an exaggeration. Nothing to be concerned about, everyone has different views on us (Librans) based on past experiences and whatever, but I highly doubt anyone would ever judge us on it.

I was seeing a Libra guy for a little while, and he was a bit like what you posted. Except he did have deeper feelings, positive and negative just like everyone else does. He said something that still sticks in my mind and I ponder about it off and on. It was "You look good on me." I think he meant it as half a joke and half seriously. He tried his best to fulfill those expectations toward himself as well. So who knows, perspective plays a big part of judgement in the end.

Libras are rarely ever in the "alone" context anyway. They are always with a friend, dating a bunch of people, and sometimes someone regularly. Then when something ends, they find someone else to spend time with.

You know, you may end up like some of the Libras Linda Goodman talks about, the ones who stay in relationships out of convenience. Then you wouldn't necessarily be alone . . . just a pragmatic thought.

Okay I know some libras are different but it's true that some are like the negative example-I have met a lot of Libras though being a Taurus. There is good and bad. It's a complex sign.

Libra men love to cook.
they love nice clothes but the ones I knew could care less what I looked like as long as I was well groomed and enjoyed his attention.

One was very nitpicky, he picked lint off me and put me down in public and wanted me to stay home while he worked..but he also was the only man who then or since listened to my problems and tried to work them out..

Also he was the best cook ever and taught me everything he knew and that applied to all his skills.

He was a great kisser and cuddler and hated going out when he preferred to stay home. Libras are very fixed people especially since they tend to have placements in Scorpio.

He would stay in a relationship to be with someone and felt afraid of major commitments maybe because of an inferiority complex, He was more like a parent to me after a while because he had to take care of me and I need to feel rewarded for my own efforts.

Libra men are the most faithful of the zodiac though, and even though this one said he usually can't commit, Libras never stop communicating.

That can be annoying with so many half dead relationships lying around and I had to demand closure so I could get on with my life.

four years afterwards he finally concedes that maybe we are really over:>

Some good things about Libra men
A Libra will never forget your birthday ever...

The decision thing is false, a Libra does not like to make decisions for other people or in front of them because of the wanting to be polite concern, but inside they are very capable of making firm decisions and expressing them when you want to hear them.

A Libra will spend all day working on your house and end up with splinters and paint in his eyes but he'll be there. The Libra is a workhorse of a boyfriend who doesn't shy away from hard work and projects.

A Perfect Circle:
Nice to meet another fellow libran guy ..glad you dont worry about surface flaws .. not all people are like that ..and after reading this part in the other thread i had to admit i do have some of it.
and i beauty is allways desirable for me in a mate ..i dont know if its me as a person or me as a libran ..i love beautiful women

sugarbuns:
do librans have really high expectations from others as well as themselves ? and its really true of librans not being alone but is it really a good thing in context ? just for the fear of being alone a libra will "accept" anyone and then regret it later ?

Sthenri:

i LOVE to cook too ..enjoy experimenting with different dishes and have some "signature handsomelibra" dishes ;-)
and its SOOO true about nice clothes and the partner bieng well groomed .. i hate unkempt

is that parenting thing a good thing tho ? i also feel like that to my mates ( esp one of the current ones )
and i totally agree on the faithful part .. my last serious relationship i never cheated in 4 years ( and know guys who regularly do )
allthough i am seeing a couple people now its not "confirmed" serious ..so i justify to myself its ok ..i have not asked them if they are seeing other people either so i think its ok too.

yeah i have to agree on the indecision thing also .yes i do take my time but its firmer than a rock when my mind is made up.so you can't really call it indecision ...i guess i weigh pro and cons more than others .

and again true on the hardworking etc ..i gladly roll up my sleeves to work on friends projects ..no problems
