Hi all,I'm starting to become comfortable enough with astrology to begin giving my close friends/family natal chart readings. I'm just wondering if any of you know of a good reference for beginners in giving astrology readings. I have lots of good sources for the interpretations, but I'm looking for more of a guide as to where to begin and where to go with a reading. Right now I am all over the place so my readings tend to be sort of wishy-washy and harder for the client to grasp. Any suggestions? thank you IP: Logged |

I just do it by houses first, then look for squares and other aspects. I would ask them what they like next and focus in on that. OR you could do it by topic-look at love first, then career, etc. hope that helps some! IP: Logged |

shirty,As Scorpio suggests, if they have something specific they want you to look at, then look at that. If they don't have any specific suggestions, look at the "big picture" issues (e.g., focus on self/other, focus on inner/outer, overall chart patterns, aspect patterns, etc.). Then, after they understand that you understand them, you can look at the challenges of the chart aspects (e.g., squares, oppositions, etc.).
