Hi,I have my Jupiter in Virgo..it is detriment there..
I have problems in looking at the big picture..besides thats only the earth sign I have! (jupiter singleton)

Astrostudent,With Virgo (daily work) modifying Jupiter (expansion, also wisdom), you have a daily need to know all you can! Whether or not that is positive or something else is up to you!  Expansively, Tim IP: Logged |

Jupiter is detriment here because it wants to expand and virgo energy wants to remove the curds from the whey. Jupiter indicates where you will expand, grow, and find opportunity. I like this position, I believe it is an indicator of good health. Although it might also indicate hypochondriasis (blowing your health out of proportion). You will grow by serving others on a daily level, doing chores for others, making meals for others, etc. IP: Logged |

hmm....I have jupiter in taurus in the 2nd house....great!!!!.....but it squares my sun, saturn, venus and mercury in leo in the 5th house......what does that mean...that I'll be rich but unhappy???

Hey, Astro!
I have Jupiter in Virgo, too. It is in my tenth house. (I have a lot of earth, though...with Jupiter conjunct 3 other planets there). I think what Tim said is correct about wanting to learn every day.... I know that is true for myself. (While I have read the descriptions about serving others in day to day things; I haven't found it to be true for me.)
The way it can feel "negative" to me is that I can be too perfectionist and focus on little details of something I am trying to accomplish -- then it takes twice as long to complete something that didn't have to be so "perfect".
I would agree that it is a fortunate placement for health, as someone else said.

mysticaldreamMost of what u said is true with me..I get caught up with detials so much that I miss the big picture..
Since jupiter is a planet of luck..is it fair to assume that we are lucky to be practical,intelligent, patient , meticulous and modest?
Do others see these characteristics of ours? My sun in libra doesn't make me practical..venus in leo makes me immodest..lol ------------------

I also Have Jupiter in Virgo, I over do everything. I have problems with my health though but I'm always searching for ways to better it and find what works for me, so I guess that's good. lol IP: Logged |

Tim- if Virgo is daily needs, health, work, etc. and Pisces is the exact opposite, how would you relate that to Virgo?Like Virgo is daily needs, Pisces would be.... IP: Logged |

Hi Astro!I definitely agree with what you said.
(by the way I have Sun and Mercury in Libra, too.....) On the whole I would say I am very healthy (only one sick day missed of work in ten years.)
One thing I have noticed that is related to health is that I can be REALLY focused on things like eating organic food and then slide back into eating some junk......that's a libra for you!. I have found that my health is related to those daily things...... if I eat right, keep a peaceful state of mind, pace myself with work and get a good night's sleep, then my health is great; if I go to extremes in any area then I suffer the consequences. well..adding to that, my jup is in 6th house and it is also loaded with sun,saturn,pluto,juno and vertex.. 
n also my jup being a singleton earth makes me a pretty virgoic, I guess!I have this really bad feeling whenever my libra sun indulges and gem moon dabbles around making me less productive  ------------------
