I was wondering if there's anything to be said about the astrological imprint of a child who is born in a separate generation from their siblings. Here's a general scenario to keep in mind ... mother has at least two kids (blood or adopted), and without much forethought, becomes pregnant with what is perfectly assumed by everyone to be the "last minute" pregnancy. The child is also considered to be in a separate generation than the siblings.So what are the Sun Signs of these kids that you know of? For whatever reason, I'd be thrilled to see answers like Sun in Gemini, Scorpio, Aquarius or Pisces. For some reason, these strike me as the type of Signs which would be more than able, and more than happy, to wiggle into such a fate. But I'm open to what comes up! Thanks. ------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness IP: Logged |

It happened in our family. My mother got pregnant when I was 12 and my brother was 10. My youngest brother is a Scorpio Sun, Virgo Moon and Libra Rising.

Astro junkie m'love, by next generation do you mean a child born a while after another, perhaps in different circumstances, to a different father maybe?If so, here's my case and our charts..... I had my son when I was 19 and the father just walked out. My son is sun sign capricorn, ascendant saggitarius and has moon in scorpio. His MC is also scorpio conjuncted by both the moon and pluto. Nearly ten years later after getting married to a man who became a wonderful father to my son I had my daughter. She is pisces sun, gemini ascendant and has leo moon. Her MC is aquarius closely conjucted by uranus. What does this seem to say to you? She is quite different to her brother but they get on marvellously! ------------------ SCORPIO SUN 5TH HOUSE ASCENDANT CANCER CANCER MOON 12TH HOUSE IP: Logged |

Interesting.. I have two siblings who are a generation apart from me.They are both "half" siblings, however. My brother is 10 years old and he's a Sun in Aries, Moon in Gemini, Ascendant in Scorpio. My sister is 3 years old and she's a Sun and Moon in Cap, Ascendant in Sagittarius. But she has Pluto Conjunct her Ascendant. This topic is really interesting.. my little brother, especially, is better behaved in adult situations than when he is treated like a child. Sometimes I forget I am so much older than him! ~shirty IP: Logged |

My kids are six years apart, and this one coming will also be....I don't think it qualifies as a different generation, does it? It's not like twenty year difference.... This one wil be a Pisces, apparently. IP: Logged |

Congrats Pixie!! Hope you are feeling well!There is a big generation gap in my family.. I was the first girl born in 3 generations... My Grandfather had 12 brothers... They all had boys too... I am the only one in my family my age... You have to go to my 3rd cousins to find anyone close to my age.. Everyone else is at least 17 years older or younger.... IP: Logged |

My parents had two kids, waited 7 years, and had three more. I think it's about a 14 year span (1970 - 1984) between the oldest and youngest.I'm not real sure what your question is, though. IP: Logged |

Does it seem as if the astrological influences I mentioned are involved in these posts? I see Sag and Aries energies are in there too, but there's still a certain mix. I still haven't noticed anything like Taurus, Cancer, Leo, Libra, or Capricorn. What would make THESE types of energies less likely to take on this particular task? ... hmmmmm ... I guess that would depend on how close all these "extended" members feel to each other. Do they still feel like family? pixelpixie -
Inofficially, I think "they" consider a generation ito be about 8 years. But I think the 6-year difference in your particular situation would definately be considered as a different generation. But interesting what shirty said, as some of these kids DO seem to span more than one generation whence they appear. Sort of, older than their years. IP: Logged |

AcousticGod -ROFL ... I see your predicament! OK - Here's a roller coaster ride in the mind of a currently "happy" person trying to do your math ::: (Yes, I realize it's early in the day, but the butler had to run an errand and I've become immensely confuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuused ...) 1970 - 1972 = 2 1980 - 1982 = 2 1982 - 1984 = 2 1970 - 1980 = 10 1980 - 1984 = 4 1972 - 1982 = 10 So ..... (wait a sec ... I'll be right back ... )
So, my personal take on this is that the ones born on 1970 and 1972 feel like an entire generation above (oooold people), to the 1980, 1982 & 1984 persons. So maybe it feels like there is a clump of 2, and then a clump of 3. But I almost died when I checked to see the Sign of the 1980 one because I was going to say, that person born in 1980 probably likes to boss around the 1982 and 1984 persons a little -- don't mean in a bad way! -- but the whole thing about how THEY are older, and it doesn't matter if one was born 1970. But then I came back from the dead when I looked to see the Sign of the 1970. FUNNY dynamic AcousticGod. So, maybe the 1970 & 1972 persons were more focused on money and accomplishment, and may even have chosen similar fields to work in, or have a business together. The 1980, 1982 & 1984 persons are much more "flare" and social-oriented. They are trouble when they go out on the town, moreso than the other two. Hope everyone is safe & kickin' ... ------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness IP: Logged |
