Hi,I am a scorpio, moon taurus and asc libra. According to Linda scorpio goes well with cancer, pisces and capricorn. She writes about it so romanticially. But in daily life I have totally different experiences with those starsigns. I don't understand? Do I have to look for leo's? IP: Logged |

I don't think compatability can be based on "sun-signs" alone, it depends on your whole chart and the energies and the other persons chart and energies and the aspects between both of you and also there's the composite chart. So you can't really look for people based on a sun sign alone. You can meet people and see if you like them or not and then you can analyse your synastry. Thats just what I think though I may be wrong.

I agree with cappymeI am a Scorpio and my gal is an Aries. According to sunsign compatibility match,we're not compatible. However, that's not true. She and I are compatible. We strongly relate to each other. We have a very strong positive connection. I have Moon in Pisces, and she has Moon in Scorpio...so compatible moons I have Ascendant in Virgo, and she has Ascendant in Pisces.....so compatible ascendants I have Venus in Scorpio, and she has Venus in Taurus....so compatible venuses I have Mars in Aquarius, and she has Mars in Aries...so compatible Marses.
I have Moon square Neptune, and she has Moon sextile Neptune.
I have Moon quincunx Pluto, and she has Moon conjunct Pluto. I have Moon square Saturn, and she has Moon conjunct Saturn. We both have Jupiter square Ascendant IP: Logged |

Do you really dislike those signs, or just not get along as famously as you'd like? If you don't like those signs, then I'd suggest being a little more open to them as a possibility. If you get along with them, but there's no spark, then there may be a bad aspect between you and them [somewhere in the rest of your chart]. My feeling at this point in life is that you have to decide what the best relationship would be for you, and then try to find a Sun sign to match. The signs on either side of your sun sign are generally decent matches, so you may want to check out a Libra or a Sag sometime (these sun signs don't aspect your sun inharmoniously). IP: Logged |

You must look to the whole chart to see what type of people you are attracted to and compatible with not just your own sun sign and the other person's sun sign. What aspects do your Sun, Moon and Ascendent make? The other persons? What houses are they in? What signs? The 1st house rules you, your personality and appearance. The 2nd house rules values and self-worth. The 3rd house rules communications. The 4th house rules the home and family. The 5th house rules love affairs, children and love given. The 7th house rules partnerships. The 8th house rules sexuality. The 11th house rules hopes, wishes, friendship, love received. The 12th house rules past lives and karma. What planets are in the above houses and what aspects do they make? What signs are those planets in? What sign is on the cusp of those houses? What elements (fire, earth, air & water) and qualities (cardinal, fixed & mutuable) are involved? For a female's chart you can look to the Sun and Mars and their aspects for what types of males they are attracted to. For a male's chart you and look to the Moon and Venus and their aspects for what types of females they are attracted to. Ideal Man for a Woman http://www.cafeastrology.com/articles/idealmanforawoman.html Ideal Woman for a Man http://www.cafeastrology.com/articles/idealwomanforaman.html Any sign can be with any other sign. It all depends on your whole chart, based on your date, place, exact time of birth, not just your Sun signs. Your whole chart then is then compared to the other person's whole chart using a technique called Synastry. The aspects between each other's planets and points must be looked at and interpreted. The planets in each others houses must be looked at and interpreted, both ways. Affinities must be looked for. There are many different things to be taken into consideration other than just sun signs- I actually think that sun/moon connections and moon/moon are more important than sun/sun aspects. You should also look for where your planets fall in the other's house, and vice versa. Also, look for mirrored aspects in the natal chart, like Glaucus posted. For example: Me: Venus Conjunct Pluto My Bf: Venus Trine Pluto Me: Moon Conjunct Pluto My Bf: Moon Square Pluto Me: Sun Sextile Moon My Bf: Sun Trine Moon etc. IP: Logged |

moonlight lady -I'm planning on doing a few reviews, going back to Linda's basics, and post. If, and whenever, I had any questions about my Sun Sign and my partner's when it comes to ANY type of relationship Linda talks about, my first assumption is that those interpretations might be too broad for it to apply PRECISELY (as if) to my particular situation. Astrology 101 ... the Sun Sign interpretations are very general in nature. I think what makes Linda Goodman's interpretations so timeless is her VERY intuitive Aries Sun, (if we're just talking Sun's). It just goes full-throttle and magically captures the very essence of the subject at hand. You'll do best FEELING what she writes IF, that is, you do allow your feelings to do such a thing. ------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness IP: Logged |
