My NN in Libra is conjunct 3 planets of my ex-boyfriend...SUN, URANUS and PLUTO. Does that mean he was to teach me a lesson or was I? Notice I said ex-boyfriend

Not necessarily teach you a lesson.. but it does mean he would've pulled you in the right direction. You probably felt a little uncomfortable with certain things he wanted to do with you, but went along with it regardless and liked it in the end.. the north node feels uncomfortable but *right*..the south node feels all too comfortable but *wrong*.. When you go with SN it feels like you're being lazy, not challenging yourself and not doing the right thing overall.. When someone's planets conjunct your NN they would definitely yank you almost, in a certain direction ..specially planets like sun/uranus/pluto.. it would all feel sudden and bumpy.. but it would also feel like you're in the right place at the right time, doing what you're meant to be doing, with the right person.

If he is out of your life, it's likely that you've already learnt certain things though your relationship with him. Your sun is Libra also.. (I'm guessing) so NN shouldn't be too hard to do on your own

the best way to work with the nodes in a chart is to view them as 2 opposing (but similar) sides that must be balanced in order to evolve. think about each of the opposing pairs -- aries/libra, taurus/scorpio, gem/sag, cancer/cap, leo/aqua, virgo/pisces. they each represent different archetypes that are inextricably *linked*. therefore, i dont automatically view the NN as good and the SN as bad. we have to remember that the nodes are the moon's nodes after all, and therefore have a lunar flavor. following on the thought that the moon represents the evolving consciousness (see dane rudhyar's work), the lunar nodes represent the primary ways and means that consciousness will evolve in this lifetime. they represent avenues of development. the SN indicates the most recent (and therefore most comfortable) means of development that the consciousness used. the NN indicates what must yet be developed and taken into the psyche. the rulers of each node take those descriptions further — they show how and in what area those particular nodal lessons were/will be developed. it would be a mistake to think that the SN must be lost in this life in favour of the NN. in fact, the nodes must be balanced, and the primary challenge (after becoming aware of what the NN is asking of us) is to learn how to use both nodal energies in tandem. The SN also contains gifts that we must use in this life in a very real way.

all this said, when someone's planets lie along our nodal axis, they affect our nodal growth (soul growth) very deeply.

hope this helps.

thanks crissy for that!

its odd that my gf is a taurus and also her NN is taurus in 10th house. at least I think it is.

I have NN in taurus 4th house too. we obviously have the same SN too than..wonder what that entails

..and I am a scorpio sun.

dear CF fan,

you're welcome!

it sounds like you & your g-friend were both born around the time of an eclipse. (this will be the case in any chart with the sun near the north or south node; the nearer the conjunction, the closer to the time of the actual eclipse.)

your g-friend has a taurus sun/NN, no? conversely, you have a scorpio sun/SN, correct? so you have your sun on her SN and she has her sun on your NN, i'm taking it.

this is nice for overall emotional identification and growth, without a doubt. nodal contacts between couples, along with angular contacts, are very compelling usually. of course i say this without considering the individual charts in question, because that's the most important part in any relationship -- each individual's own capacity for love and intimacy.

glad this was helpful!
