I had posted about this a while back. Actually that article's a little off: the definition of a planet has alwasys been assumed but never clearly defined, so the debate of what is and isn't a planet has been going on longer than this article suggests. It's just witht eh discovery of this latest body, the debate has increased.

Anyhow, what astronomers' define as a planet may not have much impact on astrology overall. We call the Sun and moon planets informally, so even if Pluto get demoted to an asteriod, it's likely we'll still consider it a plant as well.
