Has anyone shared the same house cusps as others? What does that mean? For instance Edgar Cayce share the same house cusps. Also my son and someone whom I used to date share the same house cusp. What's the significance? Does anyone know? Thanks

To my mind before any planets are placed, or aspected, this is the foundation, therefore a natural affinity. What follows can complicate that affinity but before all else it is THERE.

... ooooh ... I love that interp Node!

Someone here posted a Synastry with the same House Cusps ONCE, and my head was twisting around like a confused pup. Indeed! What WOULD that be like?

Could it at the very least deem the Cusps neutral, the energies cancelling each other out, turning all things Cusp into a giant blank canvas -- the other players (Planets, Aspects, etc.) appearing to project off much more intensely?

I mean, I don't know, I'm just asking cz I ain't seen much about this "phenomenon".

AJ; That is an interesting theory. I have a problem with equal house. I feel it is better used in event chart work..but that's just me. And 'canceling each other out' that smells like neutralizing to me. I don't think of it as anestisia, but harmony perhaps? Even though it might trigger challenging points from one to another Karmically we NEED to work on that stuff, and perhaps the other just might prove to be our muse. JMO

... yeah yeah yeah .... I agree, harmony is a better word, perhaps analogous to what is frequently discussed as "too harmonious/not enough challenge" -- OK -- so those are so harmonious they hardly notice what's happening with the Houses so that it becomes more of a Karmic mission within us, the other becoming one HECK of a muse ...

I like that!! (did I represent that correctly?)

AJ...you may have been thinking about the synastry I posted before with the Scorp. We both have a Cappy Rising within degrees of each other and all our houses have the same cusps. The kicker of it all is that we BOTH also have Saturn and Mars in Leo in the 7th. Throw in that good old Venus and Pluto conjunction in the 8th house and it's a whirlwind. Our Suns are opposites, but everything else is almost identical. It's a killer at times, but he is my "because it's you person". I think we will forever see ourselves when we look at each other. And the karma thing is biting us at the moment. We very obviously have something we are supposed to be working on together. We forgive each other for the most horrific of wrongs and still yearn for each other through our anger. To top it all off, we are both going through our Saturn and Mars Returns in Leo in the 7th House at the moment. Who knew being 28 could be so much fun???
