Okay, so I'm doing this little chart comparing transits and progressions for myself, and before I get too carried away and excited I was wondering if someone could tell me the basics on how fast certain planets/bodies move around the signs - my main list is Venus; Vertex; True Node; Sun; Mercury; Mars; Chiron
Now if I seem completely ignorant - please forgive me
If you have a link that would explain all - brilliant
If u do some charts for different dates 3 - 6 years apart is it likely that the above astral bodies would fall in the same place on each of the charts?
Thanx in advance for any input here - would help me answer some big questions for myself

Hi Cat71 - well, the time frame it takes for the planets to orbit is this:

Moon - 27.3 days -
spends approx. 2.5 days in each sign

(Remember these are approximate because of the possibility of turning retrograde)

Venus - 224.5 days, spends approx. .8 months in each sign

Mars - 22 months, spends approx. 1.7 months in each sign

Jupiter - 12 years, spends approx. 1 year in each sign

Saturn - 28.9 years, spends approx. 2.5 years in each sign

Uranus - 84 years, spends approx. 7 years in each sign

Neptune 165 years, spends approx. 14 years in each sign

Pluto - 248 years, spends approx. 25 years in each sign

and then, of course, the Sun takes 365.24 days to return, spending approx. 1 month in each sign.

I'm not really sure what you are asking about doing charts 3-6 years apart, but the outer planets will be in close proximity to each other because they move the slowest.

Oh, and Chiron has an orbit of 50.7 years.

Cheers-

Hey LM - thanx for the info
Maybe I'm way off but, well, here goes - I am comparing progressive charts for myself for different dates looking for specific similarities - e.g in 1990 an event in my life mirrored an event in 2003, so I'm comparing the charts to see if there are similarities in the placements on my charts for each of the seperate dates.
If that doesn't make sense please tell me and I'll try again
