hi everyone..i was wondering why in some synastry aspects in astro.com conjunctions are shown and in others they are not..some of these aspects are about 1 degree apart.. is this because some are asteriods? has this happened to anyone else? IP: Logged |

YES-!!!! some things that are really close it doesn't show (?) other things i thought would be too wide it shows as conjunction. do you use equal house system? i don't know the reason for this at all.IP: Logged |

LOL thank you for responding lovegoblin..i thought i wasn't doing something right!!!!!um..i think i use the first system they provide, bc i've never switched it.. it just seems so strange that conjunctions show up on the 'wheel' and not on the combining charts section..lol IP: Logged |

yes! for ex-my psyche conjuncts boyfriends psyche at 27 degrees-it shows them right on top of each other-but no conjunction is shown in the chart-maybe there is a reason?IP: Logged |

Yes, I also brought this up in a recent thread where I was looking at a Vertex Conjunction in the Synastry Wheel, but which did not show up in the grid.I played around for another hour with the "reduced/increased orbs (0-150%)" feature, and didn't even get one of those Aspects with a little comma on top, which means it's a wider Orb, and not as powerful. I'm glad someone else is bringing this up. Of course! I want to know why too! I've been reading some of Rev. Alice's stuff on how she uses a more accurate time system, by picking their MANUAL TIME option > CONTINUE > then Choose Local Mean Time > CONTINUE I'm still working on fully understanding this. ------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness IP: Logged |

oh no- i thought astro.com automatically calculated daylight savings time and was very accurate for time zone, more so than other systems-is this not true? astro junkie-you just answered a question for me-i never understood the comma-so it means there is an aspect-just not a powerful aspect? then why wouldn't it show close, close conjunctions in a grid? or at least a comma?

To all,Astro.com has the right time information and Rev. Alice was misinformed when she suggested setting manual time. There is an old thread on this somewhere, which had all this confirmed by the astro.com webmaster. Do NOT manually set the time in astro.com...select the location information and let astro.com calculate everything or you WILL end up with incorrect charts! Warning, Tim IP: Logged |

Regarding the Time Zone thing, it's very confusing even for us who are not your average bear.So I would just let the information speak for itself, and encourage anyone to have an open debate about it. I'm very curious, and I'm sure others are too. It's OK no matter how the circumstance turns out. ------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness IP: Logged |

I think one basic problem with this tenent is that especially for those who've been into astrology a long time, adjusting the whole of what they've relied on and learned for so long seems an impossible task. I'm still not sure if it's just "heels digging in the dirt", or what the real mathematical problem is. Just like chrissymgreen in a recent post, put all I was ever curious of seeing in one fail swoop regarding Transits, layed out right there for me.Show me the money. ------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness IP: Logged |
