Scientists were actually thinking of putting "Pluto on the chopping block"

But it's safe to say they decided not to.

I'm glad that you brought this up- I heard about the news too- must be a major event for astrology and astrologers. I haven't had a look at the weblinks yet, but I'll try to find time to do so ASAP.
