Topic: Ascendant in 12th house.

How does the ascendant play out if it is in the 12th house? I have ascendant at 29deg Scorpio, it is therefore interpreted in the 12th house. I don't feel like my ascendant has much influence on me. I've always joked that I only have the wee sting in my tail with it being at the tail end of Scorpio. I have Sun, Mercury, Jupiter and Neptune in Sag in the 1st house which I feel makes me a very "typical" Sag. What are your opinions? IP: Logged |

From what I've read the houses are fixed positions in a chart and they don't fall into each other. Planets and signs can fall into the houses. Are you talking about two different house systems? Is what your trying to say is that your 12th and First house are both in Scorpio?
If your First house was in your 12th you would be missing a house. In a chart houses can skip over signs but you will always have all 12 houses. It souds like your chart might have intercepted signs. You might want to show your chart.IP: Logged |

You're confused Secretseeker
You're Ascendant "starts" your natal chart.
The ascendant begins the first house.
everything before that is your 12th house (to the degree of the 12th house cusp)I think what you mean is that you are not identifying with Scorpio as an Ascendant sign (meaning your personality) because it is on its last degree?
Is that right?
Well thats perfectly understandable considering that you have such strong planets in the first house which affects the way you look and act.
The 29th degree is anaretic
and your Ruling planet is Pluto.

Ok, I'm a ******* ! I was confused because of the thing where if a planet falls in the early or late degrees of a house it is interpreted in the previous or next house but obviously that doesn't count for the ascendant. DUH! I now see that my 1st house starts at 29 deg of scorpio then covers the 30 degs of sag and 4 degs of Cap. So I guess my ascendant would only be weak because of having the sun, merc, jup & nept in Sag in the 1st house. Feel stupid for posting that now but at least I now understand. :shuffles of with head lowered and face red:

It's a sign of intellegence to ask questionsYour Ascendant is not weak
it is "fated" because it is anaretic.
You also have Sag/Gemini "intercepted" in the 1st/7th house.

secretseeker -Next time you want to publicly call yourself a curse word which is considered grounds for being censured, please spell it slightly wrong so it comes out. I wanna see what you called yourself that was so bad, we censured it! ------------------

... I know, I just realized I spelt that word wrong twice. I was too lazy to check it's spelling, so i just spelled it the way it fell out of my lips at that time of day ... I'm just gonna leave-as-is for cutsie value ...------------------
