uhh this is the Nth time im saying this.

pluto has only been demoted in astronomy n NOT IN ASTROLOGY.
both of them are different fields of study.
n just because the taxanomy of the planets has changed, doesnt meen pluto ceazes to exist.
got it...

pluto is still the ruling sign of scorpio.
pluto is still a planet in astrology.

the IAU can go kiss @rse!!

Of course....

I think God has taken her to rest in his strong and loving arms...

Pluto still rules...!

I do NOT CARE!
It is still there.
Just like everyone raving on about "NEW" planets being "FOUND".
THEY WERE ALREADY THERE!

So no matter what they are called or when we discover them/....
They were already and still are there.

I'm on board with the not-caring.

I couldn't believe yesterday's discussions carried on so long, but then I saw that Lotus had gotten into it with a new Scorp, so that made sense.

hey as a scorpio I could care less. It kind of adds to our mystery ! First we were mars, than pluto...now, we are kind of plant-less..and may switch to something else. What other sign can say they have had this kind of fiasco. It fits the sign to a T!

I am a Scorpio(Sun,Mercury, and Venus). I don't care that Pluto has been downgraded. It makes no difference to me. I use traditional rulerships along with modern rulerships any way. Therefore, I consider Mars to be ruler of Scorpio and not just Pluto.

Also...Pluto is not strong in my chart. Other kuiper belt dwarf planets are much stronger in my chart. Ixion,Varuna,Quaoar, and EL61 are the strongest dwarf planet influences in my chart. Pluto doesn't even come close because I have no strong major aspects to Pluto.

I have Sun conjunct Ixion with 5 minutes of arc

I have Moon square Varuna with 10 minutes of arc

I have Moon trine Quaoar with 49 minutes of arc

I have EL61 square Midheaven with 2 minutes of arc.

Maybe now that Pluto has been downgraded, the other large kuiper belt objects will be taken more seriously.

((claps)) for Fayte . Seriously, the human word can't change anything about the influence of the stars.

Idk. I'm a science girl, and an astrology girl. In my opinion, whether or not astronomers and scientists classify Pluto as a planet makes no nevermind to me. Scientifically, it makes sense..but I don't think it will have an affect astrologically. Pluto is still Pluto to me, no matter what they wanna call him

It's almost like asking the question "If a tree fell fell down in the woods and nobody is around, did the the tree really fall"? The only reason I care is because even though I am Sun sign Libra, I have alot of strong Pluto in my chart, it's what gives me my drive.

Double Scorp here, I remember reading about the three levels of Scorpio. Linda even referred to them in her "Love Signs".

1. the lower self (snake)
2. the middle self (scorpion)
3. the "higher" self (eagle)

So, lets just do away with all that scientific mumbo jumbo and have three planets. I still want Xena (warrior princess)

I wasn't trying to be greedy. I just would love to be the warrior princess.
Though I see in another thread where there's talk of it going to Libra. Xena~warrior princess~Libra--doesn't fit near as nicely as it does with Scorp

This just cracks me up to begin with - it's like they 'decided' to suddenly change what's always been. Ridiculous in a way, we're supposed to go, oh Pluto, okay, I'll ignore it's there even though in grade school I had to memorize it along with the other eight...silly. They'll probably change their minds in a few years.

Xena going to Libra??? Libra has Venus and just reading up on the goddess Venus/Aphrodite would tell you why Venus belongs with Libra.

BTW, I loved Xena the Warrior Princess....I say she was an Aries or Scorpio-based on her personality. Did she really exist?

Demoting to Pluto is not anything.

Read about Ceres. It was classed as a planet for decades, and it was demoted.

Pallas,Vesta, and Juno were classed as planets too. this was before Neptune was discovered.

History is just being repeated.

That's all.

As a Scorpio, I am glad that Pluto is getting demoted and Ceres is getting promoted. They are on the same level.

They both have significant influence in Astrology. I always felt Ceres was underrated in Astrology.

Now that Pluto has been demoted and Ceres and some Pluto's fellow transnepunians are in the same class as Pluto, maybe we can start taking the dwarf planets more seriously. Ceres has been ignored by many astrologers for years. The big kuiper belt objects have been ignored since they are started finding large ones in 2000.

Finding "Xena" was the wakeup call imho. It helped bring Ceres and Pluto as equals just like it was said that Ceres and Pluto fought for equality in the myths.
